4. Glute Training

When it comes to glutes, Lyzabeth knows exactly how to train. “When you’re training to add size to your legs and glutes, the type and amount of cardio you do, along with what you eat, can affect the gains you’re trying to achieve. The best cardio to assist with this goal would include sprint training and lower body HIIT or met-con training. The worst type of cardio would include long-duration, over 60 minutes of steady-state cardio, for example, long-distance runs,” she writes.

5. Boxing

Lyzabeth also enjoys boxing. In a recent post she demonstrates she has a lot of pack to her punch. Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.

Coffee

According to a video about her morning routine, Taylor starts the day with coffee. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Hydration

Hydration is also a key part of her routine. Taylor makes sure her “water bottles filled for workout” prior to her sweat session. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Trampoline

Taylor enjoys jumping on a mini trampoline as part of her workout. Adding a spring to your step can help you get into shape faster. A NASA study published in the Journal of Applied Physiology claims that rebounding exercise is 68 percent more efficient than jogging. As far as calories burned, a study by the American Council on Exercise found that mini trampoline workouts effectively burn an average of 12.4 calories per minute for men and 9.4 calories per minute for women. According to a 2016 in the Journal of Sport and Health Science trampoline jumping also helps with bone density and strength.

Meal Prepping

Taylor is a fan of meal prepping. “One thing I have found super helpful to keep me consistent is meal prepping a protein, veggie and carb and the start of each week. This way when life gets crazy I can quickly reheat that, add a little bit of sauce and a quick carb and I am good to go! So if you are struggling to find the time to make yourself a meal, I would definitely recommend meal prepping to help you stay on track!” she wrote in a post.

Strength Training

She then moves onto a “quick 30 minute EMOM workout” which means “every minute on the minute” she does a different strength training exercise. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
