Paige Hathaway, a renowned fitness model, often shares her wellness insights with her Instagram followers. Recently, she debunked the “eating for two” pregnancy myth, advising that while caloric intake should slightly increase, the focus should be on nutrient-dense foods rather than doubling portions. “True or false: You need to eat for two during pregnancy. False!” she wrote in her Instagram story, emphasizing balanced, nutrient-packed meals.
1. She Loves Celery

In her Instagram story, Hathaway is seen making a juice, and shared her recipe. One thing she included was celery. The Mayo Clinic states that celery has a lot of health benefits. “Celery is a nutrient-rich, low-calorie food. Two stalks of celery contain only 15 calories. Aside from its low calorie count, celery contains dietary fiber, vitamin K, and small amounts of vitamins A and C, calcium and iron. Although celery also contains some natural sodium, it’s still considered a low-sodium food. Celery also has antioxidant properties, which may help reduce the risk of some chronic conditions. Made up of almost 95% water, celery is a great snack to have on hand during warm summer months to help maintain hydration.”
2. She Loves Carrots
Hathaway is also seen including carrots in her juice. The Cleveland Clinic states that carrots are very healthy. “They’re a great source of vitamin A. About ½ cup of raw carrots has 51% daily value of vitamin A. This vitamin A content actually comes from provitamin A carotenoids which help your body fight infections.”
3. She Loves Beets

Hathaway revealed in her Instagram story that she likes to put beets in her juice recipe. The Cleveland Clinic states that beets have a lot of health benefits. “If you’re looking for something that’s low in calories but high in nutrients, look no further than the humble beet. Adding beets into your salads, soups and other daily meals can be a good way to enhance a balanced diet. Plus — like other purple-colored fruits and veggies — beets are an excellent source of antioxidants. These natural compounds protect your cells from damage and may even lower the risk of diseases like heart disease and cancer.”
4. She Loves Ginger

Hathaway included ginger in the juice recipe on her Instagram story. Ginger is very healthy. UCLA Health states, “Ginger contains vitamin C, magnesium and potassium, which are all valuable to your health. But ginger’s secret weapon is one of its natural oils: gingerol. Natural oils give ginger its unique flavor and smell, and gingerol — ginger’s most important oil — has powerful medicinal properties. It reduces inflammation, works as an antioxidant and offers numerous other benefits to your health.”
5. She Loves Turmeric

More recently, turmeric has become a popular dietary supplement promoted to benefit a variety of conditions including arthritis, digestive disorders, depression, and allergies, among others.”
