Here’s how Valentina Lequeux stays fit and in great shape.

Fitness model, trainer, coach, and nutrition guru, Valentina Lequeux, works hard on her abs. On an Instagram video, she said “core HIIT - Share this one + leave some love! 🤍Familia! This is clearly an OLD workout (2020) and I’ve said this already, but I feel that I need to repeat this…I’d you want VISIBLE abs, remember this: it doesn’t matter how many reps or sets you do…If you are eating in surplus and high in body fat your abs won’t show! Shredded abs formula: moderate caloric deficit.” Here’s how she stays in such great shape.

1. She works on her abs

Valentina works hard to get those rock hard abs. On a video of her working out, she said “I will ALWAYS [recommend] you pair a nutrition program along with a resistance inclusive training program, this will help shape your body and will be a healthier choice in the long term,” on Instagram.

2. She enjoys working out

She truly enjoys getting a workout in. “You decide when that date will be. I just hope it is today. It’s doesn’t have to be perfect, you just have to make the effort and little by little this snowballs and before you know it, your life is changed.⁣ Exercise has been the catalyst promote other positive health-related behaviors for me. It’s the main thing that keeps me sane, gives me a boost of happiness and refuels my energy tank to allow me to be better in every aspect of my life. Without it I’d be lost,” she said on Instagram.

3. She makes healthy choices

She enjoys cooking, but still tries to keep it healthy, in addition to being tasty. On a video of her cooking, she said “sweet potato gnocchi 🍠 this was my first time making them, I think I did my Italian grandma proud 🤍 Ingredients * 2 medium sweet potatoes * 2 cups of gluten free flour all purpose flour will also work perfectly + 1/2 a cup * 2 teaspoons of sal,” on Instagram.

4. She deadlifts

She lifts weights and focuses on her upper body. “Upper/Deadlift day - This was tough. It is the time of the month + I wasn’t fueled properly. I just wasn’t feeling my best. If you didn’t see the failed reps vid the other day, I posted a highlight of all my heavier attempts. I finally had to go down and work my way back up to a moderate weight. It’s ok to have some off days, they still count toward your overall goals. They are an integral part of your training, and they don’t mean that you are failing. Go out there and have fun ladies 🤍Full routine: ✅Deadlift top set of 3, 2x5 @ 135, 2x5 @ 165 ✅DB RDL 4x15 ✅Inverted Row 3x8 ✅Spider Curl 3x10,” she said on an Instagram video of her working out. According to the Mayo Clinic, “your body fat percentage will increase over time if you don't do anything to replace the lean muscle you lose over time. Strength training can help you preserve and enhance your muscle mass at any age.”

5. She fails and learns from it

She promotes avoiding an “all or nothing” mindset because it can be damaging. “Failure is part of progressing. Failures teach us flexibility, adaptability, and how to overcome obstacles. It teaches us to use change to our advantage. It keeps us nimble and helps us adopt that growth mindset. That is if you use [failure] properly. But when we fail and move inward, clutching our shame and flaws and self-doubt to our chests, pretending on the outside that everything is okay, when it is not. Failures are emotionally devastating, and can call into question everything we believe about ourselves. The only way to get past it? Moving on—and improving ourselves in the process—is a balancing act of vulnerability, mindfulness, self-compassion, and holding onto the fact that our shortcomings do not define us,” she said on Instagram.
