FOX Sports Host Joy Taylor in Two-Piece Workout Gear is "Training"

The star shares how she stays fit with boxing, hiking, and more outdoor activities.

Joy Taylor is a successful TV host, best known for her work on FOX Sports. Recently, she teamed up with MJ Acosta for a new show on Fuse called Like A Girl. For the show, Taylor learned how to box, adding to her already impressive fitness routine. In August, she shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram of her boxing training, captioning it, "BTS of @mjacostatv and I training with @melissa.amaya27 and @loba_acosta_ of @combateglobal for this week's #LikeaGirl on @fusetv! 👊🏽🥊" Taylor's fitness journey extends beyond the ring—she enjoys hiking, swimming, and even horseback riding to stay in shape, while also embracing mental strength by tuning out negativity. Here's a look at how she balances it all.

1

She Boxes

The boxing that Taylor is doing in her Instagram video has a lot of benefits. "Boxing combines punching drills and conditioning exercises that can improve your heart health, strength, endurance, balance and coordination," physical therapist, James Edwards PPT, says to The Cleveland Clinic. "It can also reduce stress, anxiety and depression and improve your confidence and overall well-being."

She Hikes

Taylor loves to go hiking to stay in shape. She shared some hiking photos in this post on Instagram. Harvard Health states that hiking has physical and mental benefits. "Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills."

She Rides Horses

Taylor also enjoys riding horses. She included a photo of herself riding in the previous blurb's Instagram post. The American Heart Association states that riding is very beneficial. "One of the benefits of regular exercise is lowered blood pressure; horseback riding is exercise. Lower blood pressure can reduce the risk of heart disease. Plus just being around animals has been shown to do that as well."

4

She Swims

Another outdoor activity that Taylor does to keep herself in shape is going swimming. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. Taylor shared these photos of herself swimming in Sky Lagoon Iceland. She captioned the post, "Cold air, hot water." Taylor also shared these photos of herself boating in Cinque Terre. She captioned it, "A dip in the Ligurian Sea."

She Ignores What Others Think Of Her

Taylor has learned to not care what others think of her. She talked about this in an interview with South Beach Sessions. "For a long time, if people follow me on social media, this was sort of a bit of my personality on the internet was to just fire back," Taylor said. "Now I really don't read it. I do not consume — I mean that app has become essentially useless for any kind of real conversation whatsoever — but I just don't consume any of the feedback. And we're not meant to get this much feedback as humans in my opinion, good or bad."
