Halle Berry in Workout Gear Shoots Guns Prepping for "The Union"

“Shoot like a girl 😉 💪🏽 Who still hasn’t seen #TheUnion on @netflix?"

Halle Berry, the iconic actress known for her diverse roles, including her latest in the thrilling action film 'The Union,' is much more than just a Hollywood star. While she's fiercely committed to her career, Halle also dedicates herself to nurturing her mind, body, and soul with the same intensity. Recently, she playfully asked her followers on Instagram, "Shoot like a girl 😉 💪🏽 Who still hasn't seen #TheUnion on @netflix?" But when she's not lighting up the screen, Halle is focused on staying fit and healthy. Here's a glimpse into the routines and habits that keep her at the top of her game, both on and off the set.

1

She makes the time

It's important to make the time to invest in your health, and Halle definitely makes it a point to keep working out a top priority. "Rise and grind… it's Monday! Thank you @peterleethomas for always pushing me to my limits," she said on Instagram. According to the Mayo Clinic, "regular trips to the gym are great, but don't worry if you can't find a large chunk of time to exercise every day. Any amount of activity is better than none. To gain the benefits of exercise, just get more active throughout your day. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator or rev up your household chores. Consistency is key."

She's comfortable with her appearance

She's confident and comfortable with aging and the way she looks. "When I first started acting, aging was like the most horrifying thing you could think of,' she says. 'Life was over at 35 or 40. Then you had to wait until you got super old, when you could play the grandma. This town is unforgiving. It's changing, though," she said to Women's Health. "To be the age I am and push my body to its limits reminded me that age is just a number. We can control how we define ourselves, and I've never been healthier and felt stronger. This movie helped me [realize] that."

She loves good food

She doesn't shy away from quality dining experiences. "The recipe to a girl's happy dance is an AMAZING meal 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 thank you @nobuloscabos and your amazing chefs, Luis Herrera and Angel Rumualdo for this exquisite culinary explosion with the private chef experience! #noburesidences," she said on Instagram.

She blocks off time to read

She saves time for things that she loves, like enjoying a good book. "A dear friend gave me 'Stumbling on Happiness' recently, and I have to say it piqued my interest. Do you ever wonder why you don't feel happy even though you continually try? Well, this is a quick, easy read that answers that question," she said on Instagram. "While no book can make you happy (that's a solo job), 'Stumbling on Happiness' will help you understand how our brains work and how we can predict if the future will make us happy or not. It's an interesting read that will spark hours of dinner-table fun and debate. Enjoy! And happy #WorldBookDay!"

She loves animals

She spends quality time with her animals. "Introducing Boots and Coco! I found these two little fur babies in my yard along with their 2 siblings and their mom! I got the mommy spayed and released her back in my yard and she's now our outdoor cat and the other 2 babies I've found a forever home for and these two are our new lovies. It's a full house over here," she said in an Instagram post, holding her two little kittens.
