Heather Rae El Moussa, known for her role in the reality series Selling Sunset and as a former model, has recently embraced a new chapter in her wellness journey after welcoming her first child. Last month, El Moussa shared her routine on Instagram, highlighting her experience with postpartum fitness. “I gained 40 lbs. during pregnancy and I thought I was going to bounce back right away. However, I feel STRONGER and FITTER than before I had a baby now! I can contribute it to weights and protein!” El Moussa is committed to her health, regularly working with a trainer, walking with her son, and prioritizing healthy eating—all while maintaining a vegan lifestyle.

1. She Works With A Trainer

El Moussa makes sure to workout on a regular basis. One thing she does is sessions with a trainer. El Moussa talked about her routine with her trainer in the caption of her Instagram post. “Working out: I prioritize working out with my trainer @paulinastein 3 days a week for 30-50 minutes. If we can’t meet in person, we will FaceTime or i'll use her app @paulinafitnessstudio.”

2. She Takes Vitamins

El Moussa also takes vitamins to help her stay healthy. She shared which ones she takes in the caption of her Instagram post. “My Daily Vitamins: AM: Electrolytes and Vegan Collagen Powder. PM: I take a supplement every night and I SWEAR BY IT! It’s completely changed my gut and my bloating. Let me know if you want me to share!”

3. She Walks

El Moussa loves to walk with her son to stay in shape. She talked about this in her post’s caption. “Walking with Tristan: We always start our day with a 20 minute walk to the beach and we both love it!” Harvard Health states that walking has a lot of health benefits. “Harvard researchers looked at 32 obesity-promoting genes in over 12,000 people to determine how much these genes actually contribute to body weight. Among the study participants who walked briskly for about an hour a day, the effects of those genes were cut in half.”

4. She Went Vegan

El Moussa is vegan, and talked about this to VegNews. “Since Tarek and I have been together, he has cut out animal products significantly, and when I cook dinner at home, I cook gluten-free and plant-based. He is very supportive of me being vegan. Even at our wedding, we had both a regular and vegan menu, and everything was gluten-free—the vegan Bolognese was a guest favorite. We also had two cakes that were both gluten-free and vegan. From the very beginning of our relationship, he always made sure that whenever we ate out, there were always vegan options—and our wedding was no different.”

5. She Cooks

El Moussa loves to cook healthy meals for herself and her family. She shared some of her favorite recipes with VegNews. “I love to cook—I’m the queen of 20-minute, healthy meals. My go-tos are gluten-free pasta with vegan meatballs, broccoli, mushrooms, pasta sauce, fresh herbs and spices, and Bitchin’ Sauce. I also make burgers with baked potatoes and vegetables. The kids love the way I make veggies—I use vegan butter and cook them to where they are almost crispy. We also have a pizza oven so we try to do pizza night with the kids once a week—my hubby makes the best vegan pizza for me.”

Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa is still working on her dancing skills, judging by a new social media update. El Moussa, 36, shared a video of herself wearing pink shorts and a matching sports bra, making some moves at the gym. “Putting the ‘werk’ in twerk, is it getting better?? 😂 Rate it in the comments. Be nice guys 😆,” she captioned the post. “Love this! 😍” Maya Vander commented. Here’s how El Moussa is living her best life.

1. Vegan Diet

El Moussa follows a vegan diet. “You can be overweight and be a vegan; you can be malnourished and be a vegan,” cardiologist Jeffrey Soble, MD, tells Rush University. “Whatever your diet choice, you have to know which foods to avoid and which foods to seek out. Refined grains, sweets and junk food are troublemakers for everyone, not just vegans. And vegans and nonvegans alike can fall into the habit of making these items the mainstays of their diet.”

2. She Lifts Weights

Athletic,Woman,In,Sportswear,Raises,Dumbbells,Pumps,Biceps,In,GymShutterstock

El Moussa lifts weights and does resistance training at the gym. “Before beginning strength training, consider warming up with brisk walking or another aerobic activity for five or 10 minutes,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Cold muscles are more prone to injury than are warm muscles.”

3. Personal Trainer Sessions

El Moussa has regular sessions with personal trainer Paulina Stein. “When shopping around for a personal trainer, we recommend hiring a trainer who has an online presence,” Mark E. Jones, MS, ACSM-EP, TSAC-F, and Daniel G. Graetzer, PhD, tell American Public University. “For instance, that personal trainer should have a website which shows the degrees and current certifications of the trainer, as well as client photos, videos, and testimonials. This information allows a potential client to get an idea of the personal trainer's training style and understand the benefits of hiring that trainer.”

4. She’s a Prepper

El Moussa loves prepping her own meals so she always has a healthy lunch on hand. “Being hungry and realizing you have nothing planned is undoubtedly stressful,” says Corewell Health. “Instead of standing in front of your fridge or pantry deciding what to whip up, you can have your healthy meal ready in minutes. This also saves you the hassle of cleaning up after cooking.”

5. Regular Date Nights

El Moussa and husband Tarek El Moussa make time for regular date nights. “Spending quality time together without distractions boosts connection,” says Kari Rusnak, MA, LPC,CMHC Bia, to Psychology Today. “It can be rare for us to give our partners our full attention without being distracted by kids, work, chores, or our phones. On a date night the focus is on each other and the activity you do together. It’s helpful to put your phones away during the date as well.”

Heather Rae El Moussa is opening up about her post-pregnancy workout. In a new social media post the Selling Sunset star shows off her amazing body-after-baby and reveals the program she followed to get back into shape the healthy way. “Let’s talk about my postpartum body….” she started the Instagram caption. Here is everything you need to know about how the reality star got her body back without going to extremes and training with Paulina Hefferan.

1. Her Postpartum Workout Journey “Wasn’t Easy”

Heather starts by explaining that her postpartum workout journey “definitely wasn’t ‘easy’ and didn’t go as expected,” she writes. “I thought I was going to bounce back within 9 weeks!! HUGE LOL but the reality of being a mom to a newborn, breastfeeding, 2 kids, balancing my hormones, my work, my marriage and my life set in.”

2. She Found a New Way to Workout at Home with Paulina Hefferan

She reveals that she “didn’t want to leave the house and leave Tristan to workout,” so she knew she needed to change the way she worked out and what fit for her “new” life. “It was hard guys, I felt weak, old & not super motivated. I had never been someone who lifted weights or did at-home workouts until I met @paulinastein. It was a complete change for me but I lost 25 pounds, leaned out & got my strength back while working out with Paulina.” She adds that the workouts are “accessible and affordable.”

3. She Lost 25 Pounds

“Believe it or not, you guys, I lost 25 pounds postpartum and I did it straight from my living room using two 10 pound dumbbells, a mat, sometimes some ankle weights, sometimes some bands,” she continues in the video.

4. Paulina Helped Her Feel “Really Comfortable”

“Transforming your body after a baby or any time in your life is not easy. It takes a lot of discipline. It takes a lot of structure. It takes someone pushing you Sometimes, especially if you're like me. After I had Tristan, I thought, okay, I'll be back at the gym. I'll be back in hot yoga. I'm going to get my body back in nine weeks. Reality set in, and that did not happen. I don't think I really started working out until I met Paulina. She made me just feel really comfortable. She made me feel like this is a slow journey. This is my journey. I don't need to compare myself to anyone else,” she says.

5. She Worked Out While Tristan Was Napping and Even with Him

She adds that she was able to get the exercises in, even with her baby, because Paulina is “also a mom,” and the fact that I can do it from my home, I can incorporate Tristan, I can do it while he's napping, made me say yes and made me feel like, you know what? I can do this. Working out with her changed my life. I am so proud of myself.”

6. Her Body Was “Back” After Four Months

“I started really noticing that, wow, my body is back around eight and a half months postpartum, and I had started working out with Paulina when I was about four and a half months postpartum. Now that she has this app on days, I can't work out with her when I'm traveling, I can use her app, could work alongside with her, so it really makes you want to do it because she's doing it with you,” she concludes.

7. Walking and Weight Lifting

Crop,Woman,In,Gray,Sports,Bra,Holding,Black,Dumbbell, weightsShutterstock

On Paulina’s Instagram page, she reveals that “lifting weights” and “walking 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day” along with a healthy diet is the perfect equation for weight loss.

Complex Carbs

Lee eats carbs, but the right kind: “Switch your diet from simple carbs to complex carbs, and eat more carbohydrates in the morning so that you have energy to fuel you throughout the day,” she tells OneFC about her diet advice.

Protein

Angela prioritizes protein, but tries to fuel up on whole foods versus powders and supplements. “Protein powder is a great nutritional supplement,” she tells OneFC. “But remember to include natural protein such as chicken breast, fish, beef, and tofu in your diet as well.”

Smoothies

Eat Bigger Meals Earlier in the Day

Lee recommends eating bigger meals earlier in the day. “Just eat less at night. It is actually healthier to have a big breakfast, moderate lunch, and a small dinner. This method will help you shed those extra pounds and get rid of fat,” she claims.

Her Favorite Exercises

In another interview with OneFC Angela reveals a few of her favorite exercises, starting with air squats. “It is good to practice your form, and it is an effective, easy workout,” she states. “Also, you can change the range if you want to go deeper, or if you want to go ‘sumo squat’ style,” she says. She also loves push-ups, “great for everyone to do daily, because it builds your shoulder muscles and tightens your core, as well as many other benefits,” Lee says. “Also, there are a lot of different kinds of push-ups you can do, like speed push-ups and triangle pyramid push-ups. You can change it up. There are a lot of different options.” And, she also does burpees. “It is a full body range of motion, and a great way to get your heart-rate up pretty quick,” Lee says.

2. She Kickboxes

2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

“I'm really into fitness and running—I love kickboxing and dancing,” Heather told Super Street. "This kind of boxing has many health benefits because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs.”

3. She Exercises Every Day

Heather makes exercise a daily gig. “Fitness makes me so happy,” she added to Women Fitness. “I never look at it like….ugh I have to workout today. I get excited to do it. Right now I do a strength training HIIT class 3-4 times a week. And on the days in between I run 3-4 miles.”

4. She Brings Her Own Meals to Work

47th Annual People's Choice Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Heather prepares her own meals, even when she is working. I am vegan and I always workout no matter what,” Heather told Women Fitness. “Lunch is usually quinoa salad or veggie salad. I snack in between on nuts or a vegan protein bar (which has little ingredients) And I drink tea in between meals. No coffee, I actually have never tried a cup. I do have a sweet tooth though, so I choose to not even have sugar because once I start i can’t stop.” She also loves protein smoothies.

5. She Takes Supplements

Because Heather is a vegan, she makes sure to take supplements to get any nutrients she might miss out on. “I take fish oil and vitamins daily,” she told Women Health. According to the Mayo Clinic, fish oil supplements can do your body good. “Omega-3 fatty acids are derived from food. They can't be manufactured in the body. Fish oil contains two omega-3s called docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Dietary sources of DHA and EPA are fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel and trout, and shellfish, such as mussels, oysters and crabs. Some nuts, seeds and vegetable oils contain another omega-3 called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA),” they say.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

Jennifer Aniston arrives to the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
