Elisa Pecini, a top IFBB fitness competitor and former Ms. Olympia, is known for her incredible dedication to fitness and mental clarity. On Instagram, she regularly shares her workout routines and personal reflections with her followers. Recently, Pecini posted a video of herself doing exercises like abductors, kickbacks, and side leg lifts as she prepped for an upcoming competition. Her captions highlight not only her intense physical training but also the importance of having clarity, staying dedicated to goals, and understanding what works best for her. Here’s a closer look at her workouts and mindset that keep her at the top of her game.

1. She Does Abductors

Pecini is seen using the abductor machine in her video. This has a lot of benefits. The Mayo Clinic reports, “The standing hip abduction is an exercise you can do with resistance tubing to work the hip muscles. Specifically, the standing hip abduction targets the hip abductor muscles, which are located here, on the outside of the hips. This exercise helps promote strength and stability in the hip muscles when walking or running.”

2. She Does Kickbacks

Pecini is also seen using a machine to do glute kickbacks. According to Bradley Bishop, this exercise has a lot of benefits. “Glute kickbacks work your glutes by isolating the muscles and engaging them through a range of motion. The glutes are your biggest and strongest muscles, consisting of the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus. Together, these muscles help with hip extension and rotation and the stabilization of your pelvis.”

3. She Has Clarity

In the caption of this Instagram post, Pecini talked about the importance of clarity. “When you have clarity about your goals, it naturally shapes your choices and priorities. This may bother those who have not yet found this clarity or those who prefer to take the easy path. Being disciplined is not a flaw, it's a strength. Your lifestyle is an expression of your values and your pursuit for growth, and it's normal for it to not fit into the mindset of those who prefer comfort zone.”

4. She Knows What Works For Her

In the same Instagram post’s caption, Pecini revealed that she knows what exercises and goals work for her. “The important thing is to remember that you are on the right path for yourself. It won't always be easy, and sometimes you can feel isolated. But this difference, this ‘unfit’, is what makes you evolve and brings you closer to people who share the same purposes. Instead of molding yourself to please those around you, stand firm, for true fulfillment comes when you're true to your own values and goals, regardless of the opinion of others.”

5. She’s Dedicated

Pecini is dedicated to achieving her goals. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Only one goal. For every aspect of life, this is what drives me: focus and determination. Whether it's in the gym, work or a personal journey, keeping my eyes on the goal is what keeps me going, even when obstacles come. No matter how difficult the road is, with one goal in mind, nothing can stop you.”
