Phoebe Hagan is giving her followers a glimpse into her new routine – in her exercise gear. In a new social media post the IFBB pro shows off her phenomenal figure in a sports bra and shorts. “trying new things is hard but.. that’s the point! The only way you’re going to get better is if you are bad at something over and over and over until it starts to click & you learn to get good at it. So anyone trying something new & I feel you, we all do but keep at it. Also be sure to listen to the new @saymore_pod episode talking about exactly this,” she writes in the Instagram caption. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. Spontaneity
Phoebe encourages taking chances with fitness. “Spontaneity is the best kind of adventure sometimes. I am constantly structured. Diary planning. Scheduling everything that I never just do something off the books. So my therapist told me.. ‘when the time is right, just say yes & do something random’,” she captioned the post.
2. Running and Hiking
In the same post, Phoebe reveals that she ran a 10k and started hiking. “I ended up signing up for a 10k run in November & going on a 3 hour hike over the weekend😅 and yes it was random af but it was just fun, no overthinking & sometimes you just need a bit of unknown fun! So this is your sign to just be unplanned once in a while. Go rouge & do something that isn’t what you usually do, just for the fun of the mystery,” she wrote. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
3. Pilates
Phoebe recently started doing pilates. “Pov: it’s your first time trying reformer 😰 @yourdaily_bali I have to say this was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be (so many faces lol) but made me realise I need to get better core strength & stability! This burn was goooood though & definitely will be doing this more often,” she captioned the clip. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
4. Leg Day Workout
Phoebe recently shared her “sweaty juicy leg day” workout. “At the moment I have one strength day & one high volume day for legs & today was strength day 💀 I can feel myself getting so much stronger recently which is really exciting because I’ve held back on building my legs. Everything was 4 sets & between 8-12 reps, give it a try,” she captioned the post. She does a variety of leg presses and squats using free weights and also machines.
5. Taking a Break
In a recent YouTube video Phoebe reveals that she is taking a break from competition. “I haven’t taken more than six months off stage in the last eight years,” Hagan said. “In the last year, I have fallen out of love with the sport, and I felt like it was more ‘I have to compete’ rather than ‘I actually want to compete.’ Right now, I need to find the love for the sport again.”
