Pilates
Cindy's go-to workout is Pilates. "love my mornings in NY at @alo ," she captioned a post from the Alo studio. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health." It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
Self-Care
In a video for Coveteur, Cindy reveals that Sundays are for self-care. "Today is Sunday, which means I have the day off to be lazy, stay in a robe all day and just really focused on my skincare," she says, revealing that she uses makeup wipes, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer.
Strength Training
Cindy relies on strength training to keep her body sculpted. She shared her routine in a short clip for Ford Models. It includes banded pulsed squats, jump squats, sled pushes, battle ropes, medicine ball slams, and sit ups. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
Snorkeling
Cindy enjoys snorkeling while on vacation. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.
Stretching
Cindy makes sure to do post-workout stretching. She demonstrates her routine in a video. "Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints," says Harvard Health. "Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage."
