Danielle Bernstein is making exercise a priority in her workout gear. In a new social media post the WeWoreWhat founder shows off her amazing body in a two-piece set during a session with her trainer. “Getting ready for a crazy week with @rebekahbsantiago,” she captioned the Instagram Story. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. Hydration and Food
How does Danielle practice self-care? “Sticking to a healthy diet and, of course, drinking tons of water are my main ways to practice self-care. I know drinking as much water as possible is important when traveling and flying so much,” she told Forbes. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
2. Pilates
Danielle loves mind-body workouts. “I also try to ‘turn it off’ as much as I can and I’ve also become really into Pilates,” she added. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
3. Meditation
Danielle gets her zen on. "My meditation never takes a back seat. Everything else can go out the window but I never miss my meditation," she told Shape. “When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:
- Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
- Building skills to manage your stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
- Increasing patience and tolerance
- Lowering resting heart rate
- Lowering resting blood pressure
- Improving sleep quality
4. Mediterranean Diet
Bernstein follows the Mediterranean diet. The diet is considered one of the healthiest in the world, consisting of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, seafood, beans, and nuts.
5. Online Workouts

No gym, no problem. "I do Melissa Wood Health and LEK Fit, three to four times a week," she says. "I used to be a gym rat. Now I’m all about ease and working out from home."
