January Jones is a former model, and is best known for her roles on Mad Men and The Last Man On Earth. She shared a stunning new photo on Instagram this week. In it, Jones posed in a black swimsuit. Her impressive figure was on display. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways January Jones stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Does At-Home Facials

Jones opened up about her skincare secrets in an interview with Into The Gloss. She says that she likes to give herself facials. “I think I started really caring about my skin when I was modeling, just because we have to wear so much makeup. I don't get facials professionally done, either—I like to do them at home. I find something very calming and therapeutic about treatments at home. I love the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask—I use it with the Black Rose Oil or the Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate.”

2. She Uses Night and Day Creams

Jones tells Into The Gloss that she uses both day and night cream on her skin. “My night cream, which I've used for a long time, is Sisley Supremÿa. It's the perfect amount of moisture, and it's anti-aging, too. I feel like my skin hasn't changed since I started using it. I'm afraid to stop using it, in case my face melts like a candle. [Laughs] My day cream is Sisley, too—All Day All Year.”

3. She Exfoliates

Jones is all about exfoliating her skin. “I've gotten really good about exfoliating, too,” she told Into The Gloss. “I like Dermalogica's Gentle Cream Exfoliant. You look so shiny and new after you use it! The Juara Invigorating Coffee Scrub is also really nice. It's ground coffee and oil, and it's a body scrub, but I use it on my face. It wakes you up and gives you a nice glow.”

4. She Takes Vitamins

Jones makes sure to take vitamins. She shared some of her favorites with Into The Gloss. “I am very good about taking my vitamins. [Laughs] I think my dad instilled that in me. I take vitamin C, vitamin B, turmeric, and I take probiotics and enzymes. I make sure my son takes his vitamin C and allergy serum in the morning, too. And I do take Biotin—I'm not sure if it does anything or not, but I started taking it for my nails because I had to wear acrylics for nine years for Mad Men.”

5. She Doesn’t Deprive Herself

Jones opened up about her diet in an interview with Shape. She says that she doesn’t like to deprive herself and eats healthy. “I don’t deprive myself of anything. If I want something—steak, a bagel—I’ll eat it. There’s no diet or strict set of rules. Last winter, I started drinking celery juice every day, and I’ve seen amazing results in my energy, digestion, and skin and how I sleep. I have that in the morning, then I take my vitamins and drink coffee. I don’t get hungry until around 10 a.m., but since I usually do Lagree at 9:30, I’ll make myself eat a banana beforehand so I don’t get too shaky. Then I have a MacroBar afterward and eat lunch around 11:30—usually salad, soup, or a sandwich.”

January Jones, star of Mad Men, The Politician and Spinning Out, is ready for some vitamin D, if not the suntan. “Gonna be another pasty girl summer 🌞,” the 44-year-old captioned a brand new swimsuit photo on her social media. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways January Jones stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Moderates Her Diet Without Restrictions

"I don't deprive myself of anything. If I want something—steak, a bagel—I'll eat it. There's no diet or strict set of rules," she once told Shape. ”Aim for a combined seven - nine servings of fruits and vegetables each day provides a variety of antioxidants, b-vitamins, dietary fiber and a host of additional plant chemicals known to help prevent disease,” says the Cleveland Clinic. “Eat a variety of orange carrots and oranges, red peppers, tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, and peaches, purple plums, green celery, lettuce, and kiwis and yellow peppers and bananas. Choosing a rainbow of colors helps ensure a diverse intake of nutrients.”

2. She Uses Face Masks

CTAOP's Night Out 2021Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images

Speaking of skin, Jones uses hydrating face masks. "These are my current favorite masks for exfoliating and moisture," she once explained in an Instagram caption. "These change all the time depending on what my skin is needing, (factoring in weather, travel and stress)." “When it comes to skin care I tell all my patients that your priority should be cleansing, daily sunscreen and daily moisturizing,” Shilpi Khetarpal, MD told the Cleveland Clinic. “But a face mask can be complimentary to a good skin care routine.”

3. Here’s Her Workout

6th Annual InStyle Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

“Lagree is quite difficult, but I’ve found that it’s the only thing that really makes me feel stronger, and I’m loving it. The music is good and there’s always a different routine, so it doesn’t get boring. There are 10 of us in the class, and I like having women on both sides of me to push me. When I did the private Pilates lessons a couple of years ago, I just saw myself getting lazy with it because there wasn’t that drive for competition. For me, that’s what’s motivating. If there’s someone strong next to me, I definitely want to up my game. I find myself looking forward to it more than I’ve ever looked forward to a workout,” she told Shape.

4. She Likes Bubble Baths

Ted Danson Hosts Oceana's 14th Annual SeaChange Summer PartyRodin Eckenroth/Getty Images

“Many people benefit from practices such as deep breathing, tai chi, yoga, meditation, mindfulness or being in nature. Set aside time for yourself,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Get a massage, soak in a bubble bath, dance, listen to music, watch a comedy — whatever helps you relax. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will help you manage stress. Eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and get enough sleep. Make a conscious effort to spend less time in front of a screen — television, tablet, computer and phone — and more time relaxing.”

5. She Drinks Celery Juice

Children's Hospital Los Angeles Make March Matter Fundraising CampaignJerod Harris/Getty Images

“Juicing extracts the juice from fresh fruits or vegetables. The liquid contains most of the vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals (phytonutrients) found in the fruit. However, whole fruits and vegetables also have healthy fiber, which is lost during most juicing,” says the Mayo Clinic.

January Jones, from Mad Men, The Politician and Spinning Out, is recovering from knee surgery. She just shared an update on Instagram. In a recent post, Jones wrote, “Progress report: feelin good and limber again! Just a couple holes in my knee, stitches out later today.” Jones wore a black and white stripe crop top and a white bathing suit bottom. How does she stay so fit? 1. She’s Comfortable With Herself

Jones may be a public figure, but she doesn’t care about what the public thinks of her. She tells Shape, “I feel comfortable in my skin. Public opinion doesn’t matter to me. Yesterday I went to a birthday party with my son, and I wore humongous red sweatpants because I had my period. My sister said, ‘Are you actually wearing those out?’ I thought about it for a moment, but I still wore them. Who cares? They’re my period pants!”

2. She Loves Pilates

Jones tells Shape that she likes to do workouts that help her back, core, and posture. And there is one exercise that helps her a lot. She tells Shape, “I took regular private Pilates lessons. Then a friend told me about Lagree Pilates. I’ve been doing it two to four times a week for the past year now, and I’ve gained weight because I’ve put on muscle.”

3. She Does Workouts She Likes

Jones says to Shape that the reason she sticks with Lagree Pilates is that she likes it. “Lagree is quite difficult, but I’ve found that it’s the only thing that really makes me feel stronger, and I’m loving it. The music is good and there’s always a different routine, so it doesn’t get boring. There are 10 of us in the class, and I like having women on both sides of me to push me.”

The Mad Men star attracted a number of comments, from “Wow” to “Wooow” to “Happy 4th, Queen” and “There’s the summer backyard beauty we’ve been waiting for.” “Progress report: feelin good and limber again! 2. Here’s Her Take on Working Out

January tries “the Lagree Method, also known as the Megaformer Workout, is a low-impact, high-intensity method that tightens and tones in as little as 20-minutes a session.” “Lagree is quite difficult, but I’ve found that it’s the only thing that really makes me feel stronger, and I’m loving it. The music is good and there’s always a different routine, so it doesn’t get boring. There are 10 of us in the class, and I like having women on both sides of me to push me. 3. She Loves Skin Care

“I love rituals. My skin-care regimen is my favorite thing to do. In the morning I exfoliate, then I apply a serum and a cream. At night I have different serums and products that I use, and they’re all lined up in order. My skin-care routine is my only way to have a little control over my life,” she told Shape.

4. She Takes These Supplements

CTAOP's Night Out 2021Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images

“I'll tell you what I take. I take lithospheric vitamin C, I take a probiotic, an enzyme, turmeric, DHA and milk thistle for your liver. And I take Vitamin B-12 biotin, chlorophyll, vitamin D-3 with K2. It's a serum. It depends. And then if I'm sick, I take a whole other amount of things like oregano and all that stuff,” she told Violet Grey.

5. She Eats Salmon

January, who’s a mom, will sometimes have a healthy dinner of salmon. “Fish are the best food source of omega-3 fatty acids. Some plants also contain omega-3 fatty acids,” says the Cleveland Clinic. “Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids can improve your cardiovascular health. Most of this research involves EPA + DHA, but ALA can also help improve your health. Benefits of including omega-3 fatty acids in your diet include:

  • Reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
  • Reduced risk of death if you have cardiovascular disease.
  • Reduced risk of sudden cardiac death caused by an abnormal heart rhythm.”

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
