"I go in and out of being a really great meditator and someone who does it when they can, but even just one meditation a day or every other day — as much as I can to keep my stress levels down — is really good for me," she said.

3. She Maintains a Nutrient-Dense Diet

Dewan follows a nutrient-dense, vegan, and gluten- and dairy-free diet. She has meals delivered to her home, created by nutritionist Elissa Goodman. "I've really noticed a huge difference," Dewan explained about her new diet. "I do this probiotic drink in the morning, and [my] digestion gets better, [my] bloating goes down... And the difference I feel in my energy and my skin and my mood while eating this way is all the proof I needed. I feel more balanced. I feel less sluggish. Food is medicine."

4. She Follows the 80/20 Rule

Dewan is one of the many stars who abide by the 80/20 rule, eating healthy most of the time. "I never deprive myself," she said. "When I want to eat the nachos or French fries, I make sure I have the ability and space to do that. But I try to eat healthy most of the time."

5. She Uses Crystals

Jenna is also into spirituality. "I loved crystals, and I learned more about the properties of each crystal and the Feng Shui of where to put them in the house, and it just became almost a hobby,” she said. "Rose quartz by the side of your bed brings in the energy of the heart chakra and love and calm and peace. Amethyst, if there's a spot where you like to relax and meditate or even get massages, that's a great stone to have nearby. And there are grounding crystals, like hematite, if you have these days where you feel a little spacey. It's kind of like a talisman. They're also just really beautiful to have in the house."

That’s what I thought. I get this question all the time from women, they’re like, ‘I’ve started my life over and want some advice.’ And so I thought, you know what? I want to share a little bit of my life,” she told People.

“I follow Harley Pasternak. I’ve worked with him for the last, like, eight years or so, and he really works for me because he’s just very sensible. He talks about incorporating protein and the right fibers into your diet. So I just love his eating program because it’s very sustainable. When it comes to her diet, Dewan tells New Beauty that she believes in balance. “I believe in eating 80/20. I do 80 percent as healthy as possible—vegetarian, vegan, lots of vegetables and smoothies—and 20 percent I’m eating Mexican food if I want it. I’ve gotta be able to indulge and have a glass of wine and feel good in that way. That helps me not be so strict and focused in one way.”

Dewan revealed her favorite skincare products to Prevention. She revealed that she takes certain products with her when she travels. "When I'm traveling I use argan oil to help balance my skin tone," she says. “I use this mask on the plane and it makes me look crazy, but it's really good for the skin.”

Dewan makes sure to protect herself from getting sick, especially if it’s the flu. "I really believe in doing everything I can to stay healthy for my family throughout flu season,” she says to Shape. “So flu shots as well as vitamins and supplements are very important. Like every other working mom in the world, taking days off to be sick is really not helpful. I do everything I can to keep my immune system strong and to be there for my family."

"I wouldn't say I am the type of girl who craves Doritos but I definitely love a good cupcake sometimes,” she says. “Or a croissant in the morning. Gymless says that this exercise is very beneficial. “Russian Twists are a great exercise that develops all parts of your core, especially the obliques, it also targets the shoulders and hips. This exercise involves rotating your torso from side-to-side while maintaining a sit up position with your feet off the ground. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”
