Whether Jennifer Lopez is showing off her perfectly toned figure on the red carpet or in an Instagram bikini pic, the actress continuously proves she's age-defying. While she may have one of the most famous bodies and killer curves, the 52-year-old didn't just get those abs by accident. The singer works incredibly hard to stay in shape and CelebWell spoke with experts who break down her diet and fitness regime. Read on to see 5 ways Jennifer Lopez stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. Hydration is Essential

2021 MTV Video Music Awards - BackstageNoam Galai/Getty Images

J. Lo drinks 7 cups of water a day, Us Weekly reports, and Jana Beaudoin, NBC-HWC Certified Health & Nutrition Coach Anti-Aging & Longevity Center of Philadelphia explains, "Drinking water may increase your resting energy expenditure, when you drink cold water your body uses energy to water the water up to body temperature. Research indicates that the resting energy expenditure may last for up to 60 minutes following water consumption.

Drinking water before meals has been shown to reduce the appetite for middle-aged and older individuals, leading to reduced caloric intake. This is also beneficial before reaching for that mid-day snack, many people confuse thirst for hunger, consuming a glass of water may curb snacking and cravings. Additionally, people who consume primarily water as their beverage of choice consume on average 200 less calories than those who sip on caloric beverages. Water also helps remove waste from the body and supports healthy digestion. When the body is dehydrated it can’t remove waste efficiently.

Water is necessary to burn fat. The process of metabolizing fat is called lipolysis, which requires water. Drinking enough water is essential for burning off fat from food/drink and stored fat. Water is essential for a good workout. Hydrate, before, during and after."

2. She Eats Leafy Green Veggies

According to Us Weekly, the 52-year-old includes plenty of leafy greens into her diet like, "kale, broccoli, and spinach." Beaudoin says, "Leafy greens are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as vitamin K, magnesium, B vitamins and calcium. These nutrients are critical for every cell function and help us feel and look younger and more vibrant. They are essential to your anti-aging regimen. Plus they are low in calories. Leafy greens are rich in fiber and water helping you to feel fuller on fewer calories. Eating leafy greens everyday also protects us from disease, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer."

3. No Caffeine

The mother of two told Us Weekly she doesn't drink caffeine because it can "wreck your skin as you get older.” According to Beaudoin, "There certainly are proven health benefits of drinking a cup of coffee, including a faster metabolism, and possibly lowering the risk of Alzheimer's. However, there are also some real benefits of going caffeine free or at least considering a reduction in your daily caffeine intake. You may notice less anxiety, caffeine gives us a burst of energy, but for some it may also spike the cortisol and stimulate the fight or flight response. For those already prone to stress and anxiety, reducing or eliminating caffeine may help. Sleep is the foundation for health, your caffeine habit may be disrupting the quality and quantity of your sleep. If you do consume caffeine, it is best to limit it to before noon. Nutrient absorption could be impacted for some. The tannins in coffee may inhibit absorption of calcium, iron, and B vitamins. This may be especially true for people with high caffeine consumption and an imbalanced diet. Reducing or eliminating caffeine may also help lower your blood pressure and high caffeine intake 3-5 cups a day is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease."

4. Four-Circuit Workout

Global Citizen VAX LIVE: The Concert To Reunite The WorldEmma McIntyre/Getty Images

The Marry Me star does a four-circuit workout, Hello! reports and Antoine Hamelin, a kinesiologist, a trainer with 20+ years of experience and CEO of First Step Fitness Trainings, says, "The 4 circuit workout is one of the best tools there is for women who wish to lose weight and develop a toned body. Working out in circuit means combining different weightlifting exercises, done one after another, with little or no rest in between each set. Here are the 3 reasons why circuits are highly effective:

1) It increases the size and strength of the muscles. A woman's body is at a disadvantage when it comes to weight loss. Women carry less muscle than men on their frame and thus have a slower metabolic rate—meaning they burn less calories when they exercise. This is why it can be hard for women to lose weight when all they do is cardio training. In fact, women will burn on average a mere 250 calories for 30 minutes of jogging. The amount of muscle one carries on their body is like the engine in a car. Little horsepower in an engine requires only a little bit of gas to move the car; little muscle mass on a body burns only a few calories with exercise. Performing 4 circuit workouts like J.Lo's is an amazing way to increase muscle on the whole body. As you increase muscle, your metabolism becomes faster, allowing you to burn more calories each time you workout. Moreover, arranging a workout in circuit fashion usually combines exercises for the legs and the upper body altogether, making it even more efficient.

2) Circuit training combines 3-4 exercises done with little or no rest in between the exercises. This type of workout—because of its rapid pace—burns a lot of calories; sometimes more than cardio training for the same duration. Done correctly and at the right intensity, a 4 circuit workout can be as effective as doing high-intensity sprints for weight loss; without the added stress on the joints. Thus, you can literally kill 2 birds with one stone; increase muscle tone AND burn a great amount of calories in one session. Moreover, arranging your exercises in circuit fashion is time efficient and can cut training time by half.

3) Any weight training workout keeps the metabolism elevated up to 24 hours after you are done. It is no different for circuits. Amazingly, you burn calories during the actual workout, and you keep burning calories while you carry on with your daily activities after. This is the main reason why circuits are the best option for women who wish to tone their body and keep in shape; an increased metabolism for hours on end!"

5. Resistance Bands

25th Annual Critics' Choice Awards - ArrivalsDavid Crotty/Getty Images

Lopez uses resistance bands during her workouts and Hamelin reveals why they're so effective. "A workout done with resistance bands is a great way to build a toned body and to keep weight off. This type of workout offers plenty of amazing options both for at-home training or when traveling. Bands are inexpensive and the resistance on the bands can be adjusted to an extent according to the fitness level of the trainee. Working out with bands provides enough resistance on the exercises to stress the muscles enough into becoming stronger. Therefore, it is a good tool to make any exercise harder and more challenging. For example, doing bodyweight squats only will give a beginner results for a few weeks, but it will soon become so easy that it will not further improve the body. However, by adding bands, you can adjust the resistance, thus making the exercise harder and obtaining better results. Bands provide many exercise options to work both the upper and lower body muscles, making it a great option to create your own circuit training. This type of training burns many calories because of the fast pace at which it is done. Also, working out with bands provides the same metabolic increase that is brought about by free weights workouts and will help burn more calories for hours after the workout; thus making it an awesome tool to lose weight or to keep the weight off."

Jessie Decker James is no stranger to showing off her toned physique and we don’t blame her. The mother of three looks amazing! Scroll through her Instagram feed and you'll see countless stunning photos of the country singer, but you'll also see images of her working hard for her fit figure. "It takes a lot of hard work and discipline," she said in a YouTube video about her diet and workout routine and CelebWell talked to experts who break down her regime. Read on to see 5 ways Jessie Decker James stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Counts Calories

Jessie James Decker Visits "Extra"Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images

"I stay within the 1200-1500 range," she told fans in a YouTube video about how she got back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Jana Beaudoin, NBC-HWC Certified Health & Nutrition Coach Anti-Aging & Longevity Center of Philadelphia says, counting calories is, "The act of accountability. Recording your food intake increases awareness and intention around what you are eating and how much. The added level of awareness guides your decision making around food. Recording food and counting calories also helps to address the issue of eating out of boredom and stress and adds a component of mindfulness to your daily nutritional choices. You need a calorie deficit to lose weight. Knowing your basal metabolic rate, activity level, your current weight and your desired weight will help you determine how many calories you need each day to achieve your weight loss goals. It is important not to become excessive with your calorie deficit as your body will then be forced to pull energy from protein stores which can cause the breakdown of muscle. Using an app to record food choices and calories provides the added benefit of reviewing your daily intake of fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. A diet rich in protein and fiber increases satiety helping you to feel full with less calories. A quick nutritional analysis can give you valuable information that may be impeding weight loss efforts. Generally a balanced diet, portion control, exercise, in addition to stress management and sleep hygiene are essential when it comes to weight management."

2. Hydration

Billboard 2017 Country Power PlayersJason Davis/Getty Images

According to People, the mom of three drinks plenty of water. Robert Dodds, a Certified Personal Trainer, a fitness coach, and founder of nothingbarredfitness.com, a fitness coaching service for busy parents says, "Water intake and hydration levels do not directly influence weight loss. However, a good level of fluid intake can assist with weight loss, providing you have a calorie controlled diet, as it will help you to feel full - especially if water is drunk before and during meals. This is because water takes up space in your stomach and is an appetite suppressant. Sparkling water works especially well as the gas takes up space too. Being well hydrated is important for many factors relating to weight loss, such as muscle function and digestion, but it does not directly drive it. A calorie deficit must always be present. Switching from a drink with calories to drinking water instead may drive weight loss, if this switch leads to a calorie deficit (burning more calories than you take in). Weight loss and health are two separate things that sometimes overlap. Having good habits around hydration and keeping up a good water intake is good for your health, but it won't drive weight loss on its own. Being well hydrated means your blood is less viscous (thick). This means it's easier for your heart to pump, and it also can return to your heart more easily. This will help your blood pressure readings to remain healthy. If your blood is less viscous it is easier for it to reach all areas of your body and deliver nutrients. Daily fluid intake for men should be about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters). For women it is about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters). This doesn't have to be just from water. All fluids count, including tea and coffee."

3. South Beach Diet

Celebrities Visit Build - January 14, 2020Michael Loccisano/Getty Images

E! News reports that Decker helps keeps the weight off by doing the South Beach Diet. Dana Ellis Hunnes PhD, MPH, RD is a senior dietitian at UCLA medical center, assistant professor at UCLA Fielding school of public health, and author with Cambridge university Press, of the new book, RECIPE FOR SURVIVAL (2022) says, "The South Beach Diet (like the Zone or Atkins diet) is a relatively low-carbohydrate (processed carb) diet that is high in protein. In the initial phase of the SBD you're often restricting yourself to 20 grams of carbohydrate per day or less. This lasts around 2 weeks, after that you begin to add back unprocessed carbs such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and then when you're in the maintenance phase, you're eating 28% of calories from carbohydrates. The problem with this is that you risk going into ketosis, and unless you're prescribed a specific ketogenic diet for a specific health condition (seizures), this level of carbohydrate intake, and the subsequent intake of fats and proteins is not particularly healthy. The weight you initially lose from SBD is primarily water weight. You are not only restricting processed carbs, but also carbs that are super healthy for you, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, which are filled with naturally occuring vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water. Our muscles and our brains prefer and honestly, require glucose as their main fuel source, so cutting them out of the diet is not a good idea (again, unless you have prescribed a medical condition and see a dietitian for that). Our bodies, our intestinal tracts, thrive on anti-inflammatory fruits, vegetables, fiber, and healthy nutrients. Proteins from animal foods are inflammatory and actually can harm our intestinal flora (the microbiome/bacteria that are healthy in the gut), and make us less healthy, increasing our risk for certain cancers and heart disease. Instead, I like to recommend people follow a whole foods, plant-based diet for sustained health and fitness goals. It is unprocessed foods with just the right balance of fiber, water, vitamins, minerals, polyphenols (antioxidants) and other plant-based compounds that are anti-inflammatory, and keep our gut health in check and help with weight maintenance and weight loss. It's the processed foods that we all ought to do away with, not carbs, and I really want to dispel those myths. I'm a mom, a dietitian, and an environmentalist. SBD is not environmentally friendly owing to its use of animal products which use a lot of land, water, and produce a lot of greenhouse gas emissions. A whole-food plant-based diet is not only healthy for you, but for the environment. I'm a fitness enthusiast and plant-based consumer and I keep my weight very much in check."

4. Portion Control

54th Academy Of Country Music Awards - ArrivalsEthan Miller/Getty Images

The TV personality is very careful about how much she eats and so portion control is key to staying within her 1200-1500 calorie a day diet. Bess Berger, a women's health registered dietitian Nutrition by Bess explains, "When people think of portion control they often think of limiting portions. While this is true, it's so much more. It's really about eating more over time than less. It's providing your body doses of food throughout the day to help moderate the portion of food when you eat. For example, if someone doesn't eat all day and gets to dinner. They'll be starving. They won't be able to have recommended portions. If we have meals and snacks strategically through the day, one can then portion control their food throughout the day. Eating throughout the day instead of large portions lets our body digest and metabolize calories much more efficiently. If we take in too large a portion, and too many calories at one time, there's a high likelihood our body can't deal with all those calories and they get stored as fat. Eating portion controlled food can help avoid this and can help with weight loss."

5. She Runs

Klarna STYLE360 NYFW Hosts Kittenish by Jessie James Decker After Party At ROW NYCThomas Concordia/Getty Images

One way the active mom stays in shape is by running, which she shows off her skills in this Insta pic she posted recently. Tyler Read, NASM certified personal trainer and CEO of Personal Trainer Pioneer says, "Running offers a multi-pronged approach to weight loss and fitness. The most apparent benefits are an active calorie burn during physical activity. You also get to enjoy the after burn, where you will continue to burn calories at a higher rate for hours after your run. Running builds muscle mass which means a high metabolic rate at rest. All of these will help someone lose weight and stay fit. Stress relief may be a less obvious benefit, but regular exercise like running will decrease the body's cortisol (the stress hormone) levels. High cortisol levels can lower your metabolism, leading to weight gain or difficulties losing weight, sleeping problems, and other quality of life issues. Improving cortisol levels is one of the best and less obvious benefits of running for maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle!"

Celebrities are often responsible for putting diets on the map. From keto and intermittent fasting to Atkins and even juice cleanses, many weight loss eating plans have soared in popularity due to a single star’s endorsement. While many of the diets turn out to be fads, with little scientific evidence endorsing their weight loss benefits, there are a handful which are more effective than the rest. Here are 5 celebrity diets that work, according to an expert, and the photos that prove it.

1. Carrie Underwood: Keeping Track of Macros

carrie underwood CMT 1 scaledErika Goldring/Getty Images

Carrie Underwood is a big fan of counting macros over calories. “I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle,” she explained to Women’s Health about her struggles with trying to stay slim in her younger years, sometimes eating as few as 800 calories per day. “Your body is screaming ‘I need more calories. I need more carbs!’

Lauren Minchen, MPH, RDN, CDN, nutrition consultant for Freshbit, the AI-driven visual diet diary app, endorses this method as an effective weight loss strategy. “Learning about macronutrient groups and the best portions in which to combine them is a diet change that is approachable and effective for just about anyone. We can eat healthy foods, but it is still possible to overeat healthy foods, which can still result in weight gain or simply not meeting the weight goal we are looking for,” she explains. Furthermore, combining proteins, fats, and carbs in appropriate portions can boost satiety and support a healthy body weight. “These macronutrients work together synergistically to fill us up, provide us with energy, and support a healthy metabolic rate. Tracking our food and drink intake in a food tracking app can boost our awareness of the portions and food combinations we are consuming, as well as identify any areas we are frequently overeating.”

2. Penelope Cruz: The Mediterranean Diet

92nd Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals Getty ImagesShutterstock

“Spain is my country and Madrid is my city and I love living there,” Penelope Cruz told The Daily Mirror. “My family and friends are all there so that’s my place. I love Spanish food. My diet is the Mediterranean diet, which is good food. I eat well, but I try to eat healthy.”

The Mediteranean Diet is ranked the top diet in the world by US News and World Reports, and Minchen confirms it lives up to the hype. “This diet is rich in healthy protein, essential fatty acids, fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals—all of which support healthy metabolic function, reduce inflammation that may disrupt metabolic function, and provide satiety after meals,” she explains. “It's also a sustainable diet in that there are no off-limits food groups! Proteins, whole food carbs, and fats are included for a varied and delicious diet that can help you reach a healthy body weight. This diet is suitable for just about anyone, including diabetics and those with heart disease, because of its being rich in essential nutrients and antioxidants.”

3. Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Halle Berry: Low Carb Diets

vanessa hudgens asking for it movie 1 scaledGary Gershoff/Getty Images

A slew of stars—including Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, and Halle Berry—have claimed that low carb diets (including Keto) have helped them slim down fast.

“These diets can be particularly effective for helping manage blood sugar and insulin for those with diabetes and insulin resistance,” Minchen explains. These diets—which include Atkins, keto, South Beach, etc.—typically emphasize fiber, protein, and healthy fats to manage blood sugar and encourage the body to burn its own fat stores for energy. “Those who struggle to manage their blood sugar through portion control and want to lose weight may benefit from trying a lower carb diet. Those with disordered eating should not try these diets.” However, she points out that due to the food (carb) restrictions, these diets may be more harmful than helpful for those with disordered eating and can be hard to follow.

4. Busy Philipps: Allergy/Intolerance-Free Diets (Whole 30)

Poise® Brand And Busy Philipps Launch 'It Takes Poise' CampaignSimon Russell/Getty Images

Actress Busy Philipps recently tried the Whole30 diet, documenting the experience on Instagram, claiming it helped her lose weight, reduced bloating, and also aided with inflammation.

Minchen explains that allergy-intolerance-free diets—including Whole30, gluten-free, dairy-free—may be most beneficial for those with poorly managed inflammation, IBS/gut dysfunction, and excess weight. “Calories and portions are not the only factor in achieving a healthy body weight,” she explains. “Managing inflammation with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, while also avoiding food intolerances and allergies, is essential for optimal metabolism and energy.” She also notes that reducing/eliminating intolerances and allergens can be helpful in reducing overall inflammation if someone is either allergic or sensitive to these foods. “Identifying food intolerances and allergies and then eliminating them can help mediate inflammation, reduce bloating and swelling from those foods, and support healthy weight loss,” she continues. However, anyone with disordered eating may want to be cautious before pursuing these diets, given that they may feel restrictive and trigger more disordered eating thoughts and habits.

5. Beyonce: Plant-Based Diet

beyonce grammys scaledKevin Winter/Getty Images

Beyonce famously whipped herself into shape for Coachella in 2018 with the help of a plant-based diet created by her trainer and nutritionist Marco Borges. Beyonce was so happy with the results, she partnered with him on his 22 Days Nutrition program.

Minchen explains that plant-based diets—which include vegan, vegetarian and pescetarian—are rich in fiber and essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from plant foods and void of processed and fatty meats and dairy foods. “For some, increasing their intake of plant foods means a greater intake of essential nutrients, decreased caloric intake from processed foods, and greater satiety—all of which can support achieving a healthy body weight,” she says. Going plant-based can also expand one's knowledge of healthy plant foods, like lentils, beans, legumes, a variety of whole grains, tubers, root veggies, and other veggies and fruits that they otherwise may not be eating. However, those with anemia, protein deficiencies, allergies to a large number of plant foods, and those with an eating disorder should be cautious before pursuing a plant-based diet and see a dietitian to ensure they are achieving adequate amounts of iron and protein to meet their nutritional needs.

1. Limits Dairy and Wheat

Premiere Of USA Network's "The Sinner" Season 3 - ArrivalsJon Kopaloff/Getty Images

Biel has been known to limit her dairy and wheat intake and told the Los Angeles Times that she's "not all-out anything. Just creating a balance if possible… but honestly I just feel better when I don’t have gluten or wheat or dairy. My digestion is better, I feel better, I have more energy… I just try to eat really healthy." Dr. Seema Bonney, the founder and medical director of the Anti-Aging & Longevity Center of Philadelphia explains, "Dairy in and of itself does not cause weight gain but some types of dairy are less healthy. Milk, plain yogurt and even unsweetened dairy products contain lactose, a natural sugar. Lactose can cause bloating in some people. Also some types of dairy - like cheese and ice cream - are easier to overeat than others which can lead to extra pounds due to those extra calories.

Foods high in gluten also tend to be high in refined sugars, fats, and artificial ingredients which is why many people find that a gluten free diet promotes weight loss and better digestive health. And if you have non celiac gluten sensitivity, you may have problems with weight gain and digestion, causing symptoms like gas, cramping, and bloating. "

2. Eats Whole Foods

Celebrities Visit Broadway - January 21, 2020Bruce Glikas/WireImage

The actress broke down what she ate daily to the LA Times and revealed she eats really healthy. For "dinner, if we’re home, it would be cooking up some salmon, some rice, grilling some vegetables, or going out and having some chicken, something a little heartier for dinner." Reda Elmardi, a Registered Dietician, Certified Nutritionist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Trainer, and owner of thegymgoat.com says, "Whole foods are foods that have not been processed into smaller pieces. They include fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, grains, eggs, dairy products, meat, fish, poultry, and even some types of oils. When you eat these foods, your body gets all the vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein, and other nutrients they contain. This helps you feel full longer, burn calories better, and maintain healthy blood sugar levels."

3. Everything in Moderation

While the mother of two eats very clean, she doesn't cut anything totally out of her diet. She told the LA Times, "of course I have cheat-days and will go out and have, like, cookies and pizza. Elmardi says it's important to:

  1. Balance your diet. The first step to losing weight is to maintain a healthy diet. When we eat too much, our bodies store fat. If we don't consume enough calories, our bodies begin to break down muscle mass. To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you take in. This can be achieved through exercise and proper nutrition.
  2. Exercise regularly. Exercise helps us burn calories and build muscle. Muscle burns more calories at rest than fat, so building lean muscle mass is a great way to boost your metabolism. Try to work out three times per week for 30 minutes each time. You should aim to do cardio exercises like running, biking, swimming, etc., and strength training exercises like pushups, pull-ups, squats, lunges, crunches, planks, and bench presses.
  3. Eat right. Eating well isn't just about what you put into your mouth; it's also about how you prepare food. Eating healthy foods that are high in fiber and low in sugar and salt will make you feel fuller longer and help you avoid overeating. Foods that are rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants will give you energy while helping you build muscles."

4. Cardio

The Sinner star has mentioned in several interviews that she does a lot of cardio and Antoine Hamelin, a kinesiologist, a trainer with 20+ years of experience and CEO of First Step Fitness Trainings explains, "Weight loss and weight gain follow the same premise. If you consume more calories than you expend, you gain weight. The opposite is true as well. Cardio type training helps to create a caloric deficit that -- combined with good dietary practices -- will help lose weight or at least maintain it. Moreover, it is a great tool to keep the heart and lungs healthy."

5. Yoga

Biel has been practicing yoga for years and according to Shape she said, "I think it takes a lot of years to really start to accept who you are. I believe that the philosophy behind yoga and the yoga community is not about what shape you are; it's not about what you look like; it's really about health from the inside out. Yoga has brought me a lot of feelings of power and confidence." Hamelin says, "Yoga is a great tool in your workout routine. It will strengthen deep stabilizing muscles by holding poses, muscles that may be hard to target otherwise. It helps in creating better flexibility, thus providing protection from injuries. Also, some yoga poses require a great deal of muscle strength and can definitely help create greater muscle tone.Yoga is an amazing tool for mental health. It requires great focus on breathing, which in itself allows for deeper diaphragmatic breathing—which has an impact on relaxing both the mind and body—and allows one to concentrate intensely on something else than daily problems and stresses; which in itself is great for mental health.”

In a 2019 Instagram post, she also revealed that her motivations for exercise are also evolving. “There are times I workout for a job or specific athletic goals but usually I workout to maintain my peace. For me, I'm always working out my spirit and exercising my soul. This morning felt like the end of a week of taking Ls, but today I got up and reminded myself that even when I lose, I win because I'm committed to learning and evolving,” she wrote.

Dani Elle Speegle isn’t just strong—she’s unstoppable. The elite CrossFit athlete and social media sensation has built a massive following by sharing her intense training sessions and inspiring fitness moments. Recently, she posted a series of weightlifting photos on Instagram, proving once again why she’s a powerhouse in the gym.

“Just a girl and her barbell,” she captioned the post, letting her strength do the talking. From lifting heavy to outdoor adventures, here’s how Speegle stays in peak condition.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Golfs

Speegle likes to golf to keep herself in shape. She shared a video of herself on the course in this Instagram post. According to Randa aerobic exercise. “Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise. On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

She's Into Jumping Rope

Speegle shared this video on Instagram of herself competing in Crossfit events. In it, she is seen jumping rope. According to The Cleveland Clinic, jumping rope has a lot of benefits. “Benefits of jump rope can help improve your coordination, get your heart rate going and help burn calories — and it’s an easy, affordable way to get some cardio in.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself hiking the Koko Head Summit. Speegle captioned the post, “Woke up and chose pain today. Every 45 min X 3 rounds: Koko head 💀💀💀 Then sat in my car and stared into the abyss while munching on Banan 🥲🥲🥲”

She Does Cold Plunges

Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day. These benefits may be the result of rapid constriction of the blood vessels due to the cold water. The cold can trigger responses in your body, such as decreased metabolic activity, alterations in hormone production and blood flow, and activation of the immune system.”

Golfer Tvesa Malik in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Awesome" Exercises

Discover how Tvesa Malik, SuperSport Ladies Championship winner, stays in peak shape with weightlifting, core work, and golf.

Tvesa Malik isn’t just a pro golfer—she’s a powerhouse athlete dedicated to staying in peak shape. The SuperSport Ladies Championship winner knows that strength and endurance are just as important as skill on the course. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Lunges

Malik is seen shifting into lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

She Does Pull-Ups

An upper body workout that Malik likes to do is pull-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them at the gym. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

She Golfs

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

Camila Guper is more than just a fitness influencer—she’s a motivation powerhouse. With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she inspires her audience with workout routines, wellness tips, and a disciplined approach to staying fit. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her latest gym session, including a stairclimber workout, a snapshot of her Apple Watch tracking her progress, and a post-workout mirror selfie in pink workout gear.

Her message? Consistency is key. “Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions! Every effort is worth it when you know where you want to go,” she captioned the post. From intense stair workouts to leg-sculpting exercises, here’s how Guper stays in top shape.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness says, “Improving metabolic health in terms of lower risks of heart problems and other complications, also by definition improves fitness. You can feel your heart working harder and the fire in your lungs when you ascend stairs. And that’s provoking important changes in your cardiorespiratory system that will make physical activities, like running and walking, feel easier.”

She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! May we always have the discipline to do what is good for us. Amen 💪🏽🙏🏽✨ 40 min stair + shoulder and chest workout today.”

She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs. This type of exercise works only one muscle or group of muscles, which means you can build up that part of your body quickly. If you want your thigh muscles to really stand out in those shorts you just bought, the leg extension machine is for you!”

She Spends Time Outside

Guper likes to spend time outside. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying a day by the pool with her dog. Guper captioned the post, “Good Morning! What book are you reading? 📖💚🐺🌮 I'm loving reading How to become super natural! I'm already sharing saying it's a must-read.”
