British model Jourdan Dunn is thrilled to announce the launch of her lifestyle newsletter. Dunn, 34, shared highlights of her life recently, including a selfie where she’s posing at a Pilates studio in one-piece workout gear. “I am over the moon to announce my brand new monthly newsletter ‘The Dunn Diaries’❤️ I’ll be sharing exclusive updates and personal stories, alongside the long-awaited return of my cooking and favourite recipes. Plus, I will be featuring my latest fashion and beauty finds, spiritual and wellness tips, current obsessions and so much more! My first entry is out now including my favourite Chicken and Pumpkin soup recipe, how to prepare for the Sagittarius new moon, my skincare journey and more,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the busy trailblazer takes care of her health and wellness.

She's an early Bird

Dunn learned to appreciate being an early riser during the pandemic lockdowns. “I wake up at 5am, and I’ll either do some stretches or jump rope, then I do a guided meditation,” she told Vogue. “I will read and then do some journalling or listen to a podcast, and drink a cup of herbal tea. And then, yeah, it’s basically an hour of silence and stillness. I don’t have to worry about someone calling my name, I can just focus and bring that time and energy onto me. I’ve realized that when I don’t do that, I’m off balance and ungrounded. It’s a ritual I have to do every day.”

Barre Workouts

Dunn enjoys boxing workouts and Pilates. "I love boxing, especially because I get to do it with my brother [the Kobox fitness trainer, Antoine Dunn]. My brother introduced me to boxing at Kobox, which is such a fun environment. I step into the ring, get my sweat on and feel more energised. It's a fun way for your mind and body to let out stress,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I feel there is no point working out if you're not trying to enjoy it. When I'm exercising, I want to be enjoying what I am doing. I used to just go to the gym and use the machines which I liked, but I need other things, like boxing and Pilates, to keep me interested."

Wellness Routine

Dunn loves meditation as part of her wellness routine. “Wellness is a part of my everyday life and I think it’s very important. I like to do practices that keep me grounded, especially as I’m always traveling and around other people. I love to do a grounding meditation, and carry certain stones, like smoky quartz, to help me ground myself. Even just lying on the floor outside, dancing or cooking, and listening to affirmation music are all things that bring me balance.”

Balanced Diet

Dunn tries to follow a balanced diet without too many rules or restrictions. "I genuinely like eating healthily but I do enjoy fried food, especially fried chicken, so it's about finding alternatives that suit me,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “For example, if you are a fiend for rice – and I used to adore rice – try cauliflower rice. Or, instead of doing fried chicken, you can do a baked chicken. It's all about compromise."

Boxing and Pilates

WNBA star Jewell Loyd doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to her workouts. Loyd, 30, shared a video of herself working out in the gym in black sweatpants and a purple shirt, sparring and flexing her biceps. “Back with my guy!!! @foxholecoach #5amclub,” she captioned the high-energy post. Loyd was dubbed the “Gold Mamba” by Kobe Bryant himself—here’s how Loyd is continuing on his work, and what her own training looks like.

1. Meditation and Workouts

Loyd starts the day with meditation and taking her dogs for a one-mile walk. “When it comes to breakfast, I do not hold back,” she told Women’s Health. “I love breakfast, and unless I’m just having a smoothie, I go all out. I love pancakes and waffles, and if it’s game day, I add bacon and eggs. I’ll never skip breakfast. Post-breakfast, I get training. Sometimes I’ll lift weights in the morning, but usually, it’s basketball first to just kind of get my body moving. If I’m starting with lifting, I try to get a nice sweat and get tempos in my lifts, but it doesn’t take me super long to get warm. I always focus most on my shoulders.”

2. PickleBall Star

Loyd has developed an appreciation for pickleball, and even takes part in tournaments. “I start with basketball workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays,” she told Women’s Health. “On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it’s pickleball, and that’s a two-hour workout of technique stuff. Lately, I’ve been playing pickleball every day, getting ready for a tournament. My body’s been adjusting to a different sport, but it’s been fun. I grew up playing tennis, so I’m used to the spinning motions, but there really are different muscles being used compared to basketball.”

3. Gold Mamba Workout

Dubbed “Gold Mamba” by Kobe Bryant himself, Loyd created the Gold Mamba Workout to help aspiring ballers in his honor. "Kobe had a lot of information and, in his latest years after he retired, he did a great job of giving that information to the next generation of athletes, regardless of the sport they were in," Loyd told Business Insider. "For me, understanding that and knowing that I have information, I want to do as much as I can to give that back to the next generation."

4. Sleep Habits

Loyd tries to practice good sleep habits. “I'm fairly consistent, but depending on my workout schedule, my sleep fluctuates a little bit,” she told Women’s Health. “I obviously sleep better when I don't have to wake up for that 5:00 lift. But sometimes even when I don’t have to get up that early my sleep is still off because maybe I played an extra game of pick-up the day before or did something else and didn’t recover enough.”

5. Professional Training For All

Loyd says the 94FEETOFGAMEAPP allows Kobe’s legacy to be passed down and appreciated even by people who couldn’t afford one-on-one training. "This app allows people who really don't have resources or don't have a personal trainer to get professional training and advice — the real stuff and not just stuff from some people who don't know anything about the league," Loyd told Business Insider. "They're getting real access to Phil [Handy]— who's been in the league and has trained everyone from Kobe to Kawhi [Leonard] to Kyrie [Irving] — and real information, which is hard to get sometimes, especially for females. So allowing them to have that all in one place in an app is pretty amazing.”

Michelle Jenneke is a track and field athlete known for doing the hurdles. Jenneke has even competed in the Olympics. She also recently competed in Finland, and shared some highlights from the day on Instagram. Jenneke captioned the post, “Season best of 12.69 tonight at the @kuortanegames 😆 Great night with solid races from the Aussie contingent! Thank you Finland!!!” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Michelle Jenneke stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Jenneke shared some of her favorite workouts with Body & Soul. She says that she does a variety of different things. “It’s a lot of heavy weights there, plus full body exercises and quite a bit of plyometric [exercises]. I start with heavy weights, and then I’ll do some lighter functional circuit, towards the end. All up, that takes an hour and a half to two hours… and sometimes when I finish a session I just lie on the ground.”

2. She Eats A Healthy Breakfast

Sunny,Side,Up,Fried,Eggs,With,Bacon,On,A,PlateShutterstock

`

Jenneke also shared her diet secrets with Body & Soul. She shared her favorite breakfasts for training day. “It really depends on what my training day looks like, but if I’ve got training in the morning (which I often do at the moment) I’ll have cereal generally before I go out and train. Then, I actually love having a Milo after a hard session – it’s got good levels of protein and iron in it – and then I make myself a second breakfast, which could be muesli with yoghurt or bacon and eggs.”

3. She Dances

Jenneke likes to dance before a meet. "The dancing preparation is good," Jenneke said to The New Zealand Herald. "People see me doing a dance on the track and it's part of my enjoyment ... I love being there and I love racing and that's how I express that. If you watch me during my warm up I'm dancing the whole way through it. I've always got music playing and I'm just really getting into it, it's how I pump myself up for the race."

4. She Swims

Jenneke loves to swim to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself snorkeling in the ocean. Jenneke captioned the post, “A little taste of my amazing holiday in the Whitsundays last week 🌴⛵️ @suncoastcharters @hamiltonisland #gopro 🎶 Born To Be Yours - Kygo & Imagine Dragons.”

She Trains Consistently

Jenneke shared her training secrets with Body & Soul. She says that consistency is important. “I do three track sessions a week, and they can be from 2-3 hours each, which can be full on. You do some warm up, a hurdle session, and then a sprint session after that.”

Fitness influencer Chontel Duncan is hitting the ground running in the new year and encouraging her followers to do the same. Duncan, who has five children, shared a picture of herself in tan workout shorts and a white tank top, her hair tied back into a bun. “Kicked off the new year with a bang after months of chillin’ since October! 🚀 Crushed it with 5 epic @hiit_capalaba workouts and a hardcore glute session loaded with heavy weights. 🏋️‍♀️ This week was a mental and physical battle, feeling every rep and muscle ache more intensely. Had a close call on Tuesday – almost lost my breakfast mid-session, which is so not me! Now it’s Sunday, my rest day, and I’m buzzing with energy, feeling on top of the world. Can’t wait to dive into next week’s grind! 🌟,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Duncan lives her best—and fittest—life.

1. Fueling Her Workouts

Chontel.Duncan.1Chontel Duncan/Instagram

Duncan tracks her food and makes sure she is always getting the fuel she needs. “Everyone is different and what works for some, won’t necessarily work for others — it’s all about developing positive habits and finding what suits you, your lifestyle and your body,” she told Sunday Riley. “The perfect size and weight is in which you are living your happiest life. I believe strongly in balance and being realistic with your meal planning [but] if I’m working towards a goal in my training, I like to know that I am doing my absolute best to get there in a healthy way, so I will track my food to ensure I’m fueling my body correctly and providing a foundation for success.”

2. Weight Training Workouts

Duncan’s workouts are heavily centered on high intensity weight training. “Here’s the scoop on my session,” she captioned an Instagram video.

* Dumbbell Squat Cleans

* Kettlebell Swings 💥

* Plate Ground to Overhead Press 🌪️

* Overhead Lunges 🚀

* Echo Bike Sprints (that Left Me Breathless 🚴‍♀️)

* Dumbbell Thrusters

“No pain, no gain? More like, lots of pain, plus some gains! Felt some mild pulling but I pushed through. Kept the weights light, but my spirit was heavyweight.”

3. Balanced Diet

Chontel.DuncanChontel Duncan/Instagram

Duncan is a strong advocate for balance when it comes to diet. “Food is a huge part of my culture [Maori and Dutch] and some of my best memories with family were over meals, so I never jeopardize these opportunities to enjoy time with friends and family,” she told Sunday Riley. Life needs to be lived, so while we chase goals, don’t forget to be present in the moments that count. Consider your body like a car — when you fill it with cheap fuel and don’t look after it properly, it won’t perform at its best and could potentially stop working. Let good, wholesome, nutrient-rich food be your fuel so that you can train at your best. I am always very conscious to listen to my body and provide it with fuel when it needs it, but as much as I can, I work on consuming a full meal three to four times a day.”

4. Self-Care Advocate

Chontel Duncan:InstagramChontel Duncan/Instagram

Duncan is a big advocate for taking time for self-care. “Scheduling time for yourself is so important for your mental health,” she told Best Fit Magazine. “Create boundaries and make sure to set a time each day to switch off from your work or tasks, and focus on relaxation and doing something for yourself. It’s easy to get caught up, but taking a moment to switch off can help to clear your mind and recharge your batteries.

5. Back In the Saddle

Duncan has good advice for moms who want to get back into fitness. “Get organized, the more prepared you are and savvy you become at scheduling the easier it will be to squeeze in a 30 minute workout,” she told Beauty Haven. “How do you stay motivated to workout with such a busy lifestyle? I prioritize my health and I’m disciplined from a lot of hard work over the course of many years. I never rely on motivation, as I believe it’s most certainly all about discipline. Find a gym that has a crèche and does group training, you will find there will be a lot of other parents doing the same, so you will be surrounded by others with similar interests. Plus you’ll only be a stone’s throw away from bub and will make some lovely friends.

Emily Tanner is modeling a new workout collection. In a new social media post the activewear model shows off her amazing body in a few new two-piece exercise sets from Vitality. “Dreamy cloud collection drops today! What’s your favorite color?!” she asks her followers, posing in the Instagram video. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Cold Plunges

Emily is one of the many people obsessed with cold plunging. “Not me setting my phone up confidently knowing I can usually stay in for over a minute… not this time lol. I can plunge if it’s 40 degrees or higher, but anything lower is way too painful. What’s the lowest you can cold plunge and stay in?” she captioned a video. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.

Movement in the Morning

Emily rises and exercise. “Movement in the morning has been the number one game changer in my routine over the last few years providing more mental clarity and an overall mood boost to set my day up for success,” she writes in a post.

Walking and Energy Drinks

Emily gets her steps in with the help of Celsius energy drinks. “Morning strolls with my favorite flavor🍑 @celsiusofficial,” she captioned a post. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Treadmill Workouts

Emily is a big fan of treadmill workouts. “I actually like running now… specifically the @nordictrack @ifit runs and hikes around the world from my living room,” she captioned a post. She adds that the treadmill “has made running so much fun.” She also uses it for hiking. “I am hiking in places around the entire world from Iceland to Hawaii,” she writes on the Instagram video.

Cycling

Emily loves cycling. At 7:30 am she hops on her NordicTrack bike for a cycling session, calling it the “perfect way for me to decompress for the day ahead of me.” The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram
