Kyly Clarke is fighting for her figure in her two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post the Australian model-slash-influencer shows off her amazing figure and flat abs in workout gear during a martial arts session. “Breaking up the Art Coverage to remember these self care moments of strength and agility.. #muaythai Life Balance,” she captioned the Instagram clip. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top diet and fitness tips
1. Exercise Daily
Kyly hits the gym daily. “I do work out every day,” she told Body + Soul. “It’s like anything in life: when you want an amazing result, you have to do amazing things to get there.”
2. Strength Train
Kyly is all about strength training. She does a 30- to 60-minute weights session with her trainer in the morning. She is always trying to lift heavier weights. “When you’re trying to really sculpt your body – and let’s be real, we’re talking about getting to the millimetre now, not the centimetre – that’s when you need an expert in that area to help you,” she told Body+Soul.
3. Do HIIT Workouts Once a Week
Kyly is also a fan of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) aiming for at least one session each week. She does moves like box jumps, kettle-bell swings, leg raises and sled-push sprints. “This helps burn calories, keeps the body looking lean and improves overall muscle functionality,” her trainer told Body + Soul. There is lots of research backing up the benefits of HIIT workouts, including body fat reduction, improved cardiovascular function, and mental health. It is also time effective.
4. Eat Lean Protein, Veggies, and Fish
Clarke tries to eat clean. Her diet consists of egg-white omelets filled with vegetables and an abundance of fish. She says that “being fit and healthy will help you mentally as well. We have really good, nutritious foods.” She also told Mamamia that she loves cooking healthy meals. "My go-to lunch is tuna, avocado and beetroot lettuce cups," she said. "I love them. Quick and easy and healthy. Add some chilli flakes, salt and pepper for taste." For dinner, she opts for protein-rich meals "I love making honey and soy lean breast chicken in a salad full of goodness like chickpeas, quinoa, corn, tomato, onion, feta and pine nuts," she says.
5. Take Barre Classes
Kyly is a fan of barre workouts. “Barre exercises offer so many benefits," she said in a workout video for Nine. "(Not just to look good in a swimsuit), but to also strengthen and lengthen those muscles and achieve a longer, leaner, and toned body." “Barre helps strengthen and tone your muscles without increasing bulk, and it improves your posture. It also increases cardiovascular endurance and metabolism, which helps to quickly burn calories. Regular barre workouts can increase your bone density, which can help prevent conditions like osteoporosis,” explains Barre studio Physique 57.
6. Do 20 to 30 Minutes of Cardio Daily
When Clarke wakes up at 5.45am she starts the day with 30 minutes of cardio before her daughter Kelsey Lee wakes up, she told Body + Soul. "I always do cardio whether it's 20, 30 minutes or an hour, just depends on the day and what I'm focusing on," she added to News AU.
7. Try a Fighting Form of Fitness
In her latest post Kyly gets her kicks in during a Muay Thai session. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function and psychological health in addition to weight loss and physical fitness.
