1. She Loves To Dance
Fudge loves dancing, which is a great way to get some cardio without getting bored. Dance not only has physical benefits but mental, too. “Dance is an antidote to stress, a way to combat negative emotions, an elixir for the body, mind, and brain,” write Julia F. Christensen and Argentine tango dancer Dong-Seon Chang in the 2021 book Dancing Is the Best Medicine.
2. Natural Beauty
Fudge wants to be a role model for girls who go for a more natural look. "I haven’t had anything done, which is a good thing for myself I think, and I want girls to look at me and go, ‘I haven’t had anything done and she hasn’t had anything done’ – you don’t have to have it done,” she says. “Lip fillers and things like that are very popular now, but I just think I’m happy the way I am. I just feel like I’m normal, and that’s what I like – me going in as a normal girl, and I would like other girls to look at me and think ‘she’s just like me’."
3. Pomodoro Pasta
Fudge will never say no to a plate of delicious Pomodoro pasta made with fresh tomatoes and basil. “I think tomatoes are about the most versatile of all the fruits and vegetables,” says registered dietitian Lara Whitson, RD, LD. “They’re also loaded with antioxidants and other nutrients, so there are some real benefits to eating tomatoes.”
4. Eyebrow Success
Fudge has her eyebrows threaded, and says they are the secret to her success. "I was approached. I was at work at the time and it was the most random thing ever,” she says. “I just came in and was almost late actually as there was a blizzard outside, so I was sorting myself out and they approached me and we were talking about eyebrows at the time – I am the eyebrow queen, I love an eyebrow – we were talking about that and I thought they were just customers and I was talking to them like they were. Then it just went from there really. "
5. Living With Anxiety
Fudge is open about her battle with anxiety and depression. "This time last year I was suffering with anxiety and depression behind closed doors,” she says. “This resulted in me having insomnia, extreme mood swings & losing two stone in weight. I couldn't bear to look at myself in the mirror because I didn’t recognise myself both physically and mentally. I completely lost myself and I wasn’t sure who I was as a person anymore… [Today] I feel beautiful, confident and I love my body now more than ever. I never understood mental health until I experienced [the down sides of] it myself and how important it is. I urge everybody to be kind because you never know what someone is going through, everyone has a story."
