Lucy Mecklenburgh is wishing she was drinking cocktails in her swimsuit. In one of her most recent social media posts the influencer shows off her amazing body in her bathing suit while having cocktails with some friends. “Why am I not doing this today,” she asks her Instagram followers. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lucy Mecklenburgh stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Loves HIIT Workouts.

"I love short bursts of energy as it gets the pain over quickly. I hate doing things like running, I just find it really dull,” she told Women's Fitness, adding that that full-body HIIT is her, "favorite and least favorite because it's horrendous but it's amazing."

2. She Also Does Elongating Workouts

Since she became a mom, Lucy has changed her fitness focus. “I used to be a huge fan of HIIT but, since having my son Roman two years ago, I have changed my style of training,” she told Women’s Fitness. “I still love HIIT, but as a busy mum-of-two I have found it very useful to focus more on exercises that stretch my body and make me feel stronger. I am a huge fan of barre and Pilates.”

3. She Walks

Lucy also walks. “As any new mum and ones looking after toddlers will know, it can be exhausting. So, keeping fit helps with everything from fighting off the baby blues to encouraging you to get dressed and go out. Walking with a buggy or getting a change of scenery and some fresh air really helps you feel better about everything,” she told the publication.

4. She Spins

Side,View,Of,Young,Sporty,Female,In,Activewear,Spinning,OnShutterstock

Lucy told Women’s Health that she cycles. “I’m doing intense cycling training for the first time ever and it has come as a shock to my body. I’ve learned how important it is to fuel my workouts – I can’t finish a three-hour ride unless I have eaten properly,” she said.

5. She Avoids Processed Food

“I’m strict with my diet in the week, but relax when I’m out socializing. Though if I have an event coming up I’ll limit sugary cocktails and desserts. It helps me stay lean and stops my skin from breaking out,” Lucy told Women’s Health about her approach to diet. “I’ve gone from eating lots of processed food to none at all, so preparation is important. I make my breakfast and lunch the night before and always have a bottle of water, a banana and some almonds in my bag for snacks.”

Redknapp even made a documentary about it. It was called The Truth About Size Zero, and talked about the singer’s struggles with her weight, and the dangers of losing too much weight. “Everything he said shocked me. It’s a shame. If every woman in the country, or every woman in the world, that wants to lose weight and become really skinny, if they could all just have half an hour sat down with a doctor telling them exactly what's going to happen to them, I think you’d get very few of them that would carry on with it," she told Sassy Bella.

Perrie Edwards is heating up the internet with her latest swimsuit snaps. In a recent social media post the Little Mix singer flaunts her amazing body in a bathing suit while posing by the pool. In addition to lots of fire emojis she received tons of compliments. “Divine,” commented bandmate Leigh Anne Pinnock. “Hottie,” added another follower. How does the 30-year-old mom maintain her amazing body? Celebwell rounded up her top health habits.

1. She Didn’t Exercise When She Was Young

When Edwards was 22, she confessed that working out wasn’t part of her life. “I don't really exercise. When we get time off, I like to relax,” she told Dare. “During my time off, I love to get pampered. I also love to relax and watch TV. I'm all about the chilling.”

2. She Squats

When she did find time to exercise, she had a few favorite moves. “I do love squats, abs and arm exercises,” she told Dare.

3. She Later Hired a Trainer

Perrie started training with dancer Danielle Peazer after welcoming her fire child, Axel. "I reached out to my girl @DaniellePeazer (very last minute [eye roll emoji]) before my holiday and she put me through my paces and I'm so thankful,” she captioned a post in 2020.

4. Now She Works Out “Almost Daily”

Danielle told The Sun that when she trained Perrie the two hit the gym "almost daily” for 45 minutes to an hour. She does each exercise for around 40 to 45 seconds, rests, then repeats them.

5. She Planks

Peazer added to New Magazine that Edwards does a lot of planks. "I had her doing a plank for two minutes, which is a very long time for anyone," she said.

6. She Struggles with Criticism

"I think, do you know what, I'm going to be honest and say, the times I actually pick myself apart and feel miserable is when I get papped in a bikini,” she told Glamour. "Or papped in a way that one, I'm not aware that I'm being papped. And two, it makes me feel dirty. People will say to me, "Oh, you look great!" I'm like, "Are you kidding me? Do I look like that?" Then I'll cry. Like, I'll actually cry. I'll say, ‘I'm hideous, I'm this and this.’ It really gets to me and I have to remind myself to let it go. It's a few bad pictures, who cares? But it takes a lot to get to that point. It's easier said than done – it's really horrible."

1. She Drinks Coffee

“While past studies hinted that coffee might have a dark side, newer research suggests that it may actually have health benefits. Why the reversal? It's hard to look at just one aspect of diet and connect it to a health condition because so many other factors that could play a role. For example, early research on coffee didn't always take into account that heavy coffee drinkers also tended to use tobacco and be sedentary,” says the Mayo Clinic. “When newer studies adjusted for such factors, they found a possible association between coffee and decreased mortality. Coffee may offer some protection against:

  • Parkinson's disease
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Liver disease, including liver cancer
  • Heart attack and stroke”

2. She Tries Not to Lose Too Much Weight, After an Obsession With Exercise

“When you have good people around you, mammy as well, she noticed, she said ‘you’ve got too thin' or whatever and I was like ‘yeah, yeah, yeah I know, I’m trying to sort it out,’” she told the MailOnline. She added: “I’m not working out as much as I was, I ended up losing too much weight.” And: “I’m not doing it as much, once, twice a week max, and to be honest I’m just really good with my diet at the moment. It’s all about balance.” And: “I eased off the exercise and upped my calories and stuff. It’s good to have people around you that are not afraid to say these things to you. It’s so important. I’m feeling so much better.”

3. She is Not Afraid of a Few Grey Hairs

Pride Of Britain Awards 2021 - Red Carpet ArrivalsGareth Cattermole/Getty Images

“I put on Instagram a picture of my grey hairs and honestly the amount of messages I got from younger girls, girls in their early 20s saying ‘oh my God, thank you so much for this, I've never shown anyone my grey hair, I keep it a secret but now I feel like I'm going to embrace it and not be afraid,'” she told MailOnline. “My hair went grey when I was 18. I'm so used to it now, 18 feels like a long time ago. I don't know why it happened, maybe I'm old on the inside! I just said to mammy "why has this happened? Why do I get the bad genes?" She said to me ‘well it's not from me because I didn't have grey hair at 18!’”

4. She Learned How to Take a Break

After a particularly stressful shoot, “It was Michael Barrymore who gave me the advice” to just chill out and not be go, go, go. “I was training for Dancing On Ice and he is a really, really lovely man. He knew by me that I was going through a bit of a time of it….I remember him saying to me, ‘You need to take a break because if these brands and everyone really do want you then they will wait for you.’ So I took his advice and it’s the best thing I ever did. And I would give the same advice to all the new Love Islanders….I didn’t take all the jobs and I didn’t just think of all the cash,” she told the Independent.

5. She Once Showed Off Her “Food Baby”

1. She Takes Breaks From Dieting

Lucy goes through phases of dieting and then takes a break. "I think I got in such a rut of being like, 'I need to be really healthy and eat really good' and now I'm just like, 'If I eat a burger, I eat a burger', I'm okay with it," she said during an interview with ITV. "Skip the bulky Kaiser roll. Instead, give your burger a whole-grain foundation to benefit from the added fiber. Keep carbs low by opting for smaller mini pitas or sandwich thins. Or, go against the grain and simply wrap your burger in a lettuce leaf," says the Cleveland Clinic.

2. She Does Lots of Different Workouts

Lucy mixes up her workouts. In addition to snow sports, she loves taking random classes. “LOVED my first pole fitness class at @kellyameliafitness today!” she captioned this photo from one of her workouts.

3. She Does Yoga

Lucy also loves to strike a yoga pose. "Me and my lil sushi roll are practicing some serious self love this weekend! And we're kicking that off with a bit of yoga in the kitchen," she captioned this photo.

Lucy sometimes struggles with body confidence. And when she does, she takes action. “I’m not happy with my body at the moment,” she told The Mirror. “So I’m going to the gym and doing something about it, rather than talking about it. I started with a personal trainer last week, and I’m going to do the plan and actually commit to it.”

5. She Gets Insecure

Pride Of Britain Awards 2019 - Red Carpet ArrivalsKarwai Tang/WireImage

Lucy, like everyone, struggles with insecurities. “I get insecure about things. I think body confidence is one of those things that concerns everybody. No one is ever completely happy with how they look,” she told The Sun. "When you value yourself and have good self-esteem, you feel secure and worthwhile. You have generally positive relationships with others and feel confident about your abilities. You're also open to learning and feedback, which can help you acquire and master new skills," says the Mayo Clinic. "With healthy self-esteem you're:

  • Assertive in expressing your needs and opinions
  • Confident in your ability to make decisions
  • Able to form secure and honest relationships — and less likely to stay in unhealthy ones
  • Realistic in your expectations and less likely to be overcritical of yourself and others
  • More resilient and better able to weather stress and setbacks."

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
