Ludwika Paleta is heating up Mexico – in her swimsuit. In one of her latest posts, the actress shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit, posing in front of the ocean. “Nothing lasts forever.... nor the good. So, enjoy the moment,” she captioned the seaside Instagram snap taken at NIZUC Resort & Spa. How does the 44-year-old Polish-Mexican actress maintain her fit physique? Here are 5 of her go-to secrets to staying in shape.
1. She Kayaks
Ludwika maintains a very active lifestyle. One of her athletic hobbies is kayaking. “Greetings from the place where I would like to be,” she captioned a recent post. Kayaking is a great workout. Not only is it great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress, but can burn up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.
2. She Snorkles
Ludwika also enjoys snorkeling. “Free afternoon #playa #sea #sea #snorkeling,” she captioned another photo of her herself, masked up. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.
3. She Hikes
Ludwika regularly gets out for a nature hike. During one of her trips, she hiked through the jungle. “Another dream come true ✅ We hiked for an hour to find a family of gorillas that live in the outskirts. In the first video you can see how the silverback male receives us. We got so scared 😱, their reception was something like: I know they are here, watch out for my family, here, I am the boss. It's very touching to be so close to them and be able to see them in the place where they live,” she captioned the post. “Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between,” says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.
4. She Drinks Coffee
Ludwika enjoys the perks of a daily cup of coffee, which, according to the Cleveland Clinic, are plentiful. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
5. She Reads
Another healthy habit of Ludwika’s? Reading. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
