Read on to see 5 ways Michelle Salas stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Works Out In The Morning

Salas shared some of her workout secrets in an interview with HOLA! She says that she works out first thing in the morning. "I don't like going to the gym at night, so I get up, go and get rid of it all day. […] Lately I've been trying boxing. It is a super cardio and for the abs it is the best exercise I have ever tried

She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Salas shared some of her favorite workouts with HOLA. She says that she does a variety of things, and her favorite class involves different workouts. "It is a one hour class that you start with a cardio kick start on the bike that is 20 minutes and you do HIIT,which are intervals in which you are normal and out of nowhere you go 1 minute faster and then take 15 seconds to rest. You do that about 6 times and this makes you burn calories very quickly because your heart races so much. The box is great for toning arms and abdomen because all the strength is focused on this part. So when you punch, the force comes from the twist of your abdomen. And the ballet is to tone. What it does is stretch the muscle, giving you a slimmer figure."

She Doesn't Abuse Superfoods

Salas says to HOLA that she doesn't believe in abusing superfoods. "People get carried away with organic things or superfoods and yes, it's healthy, but quinoa has a thousand carbohydrates so don't eat a quinoa salad at night because it's like having a bowl of rice. It's good fiber but it's still carbohydrate. Superfoods are good but with limits. In the morning, a strawberry, almond milk, chia, flaxseed and spirulina smoothie is very good – which is very good because it has a lot of protein. And instead of buying me those protein shakes, I buy powdered egg white, because then they have a lot of sugar or not so good ingredients. If you are going to eat raw almonds eat 6 not the whole pot. The same with avocados, because in the end they are fat."

She Weight Trains

Salas likes to weight train to stay in shape. She shared her favorite workout with HOLA. "One is to take a weight of 5 kilos or less, stand up, carry it with your right hand and go down on that side. You do 50 reps on one side and then the other, ending up holding a plank for 1 minute. Do 3 repetitions of this."

She Eats Healthy

While Salas doesn't abuse superfoods, she also makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of her favorites in this video on her Instagram. In it, Salas is seen taking supplements and making a salad. She captioned the post, "This is how my week starts 🤍 celery juice in fasting with 🍋 and ginger, supplements, coffee with collagen, incense, long walks and a handful of omega in my salads 🙂 Little things that make me happy 🙃 Tell me how your week starts."
