Mya Azzopardi is heating up social media in her swimsuit. The swimmer shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit in one of her latest social media posts, eliciting a response from her followers. "Wow!! beautiful bella!!" commented one. "Beautyyyy," added another. "So beautiful," said another. How does she stay so fit? She Swims

Obviously, one of the main ways Mya stays in shape is via swimming. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

She Indulges in Self-Care

Mya indulges in self-care. One of her go-to methods? Soaking in hot water. "Spa day," she captioned a recent post. Soaking in hot water helps preomote better sleep and has even been found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that it may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

She Walks

Mya loves taking walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

She Jet Skiis

Mya also jet skis. "Throwback to warmer days and swimsuit tans," she captioned a post. According to Health Fitness Revolution, the average 150-pound rider will burn a surprising 238 calories during a half-hour ride. The sport is also great for cardiovascular endurance.

She Drinks Coffee

Mya enjoys coffee. "Daily dose of ☕️," she captioned a post. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. "It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function," they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
