1. She Gets Enough Iron In Her Diet
Being a professional athlete, Cook has to eat healthy. She shared her typical diet in this Instagram video. Cook likes to take iron tablets first thing in the morning. Getting enough iron is important. The Cleveland Clinic states, “Iron helps your body to produce hemoglobin, a protein in your red blood cells. Hemoglobin carries oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body. Iron also helps create the protein myoglobin, which provides oxygen to your muscles.”
2. She Loves Oats

Cook is also seen eating oats in her Instagram video. Harvard Health reports that oats have a lot of benefits. “Oats contain several components that have been proposed to exert health benefits. The primary type of soluble fiber in oats is beta-glucan, which has been researched to help slow digestion, increase satiety, and suppress appetite. Beta-glucan can bind with cholesterol-rich bile acids in the intestine and transport them through the digestive tract and eventually out of the body.”
3. She Loves Blueberries

Cook loves blueberries. She is seen enjoying them with her oats and yogurt in her Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management. A 2016 review of animal and human studies concluded that more human studies were warranted, though, on the effect of blueberries on insulin resistance, which can lead to diabetes. A later 2020 study of men living with Type 2 diabetes found that eating blueberries daily lowered certain cardiometabolic health parameters, such as triglycerides.”

Like most cardio exercises, hiking helps reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even some cancers. Hiking is a weight-bearing exercise, which builds muscle mass and helps prevent osteoporosis.”
