Maya Gabeira, an accomplished surfer, recently shared a glimpse into her health routine on Instagram. Along with a video of her active lifestyle, she emphasized the importance of consistent self-care, writing, “If you only take care of yourself on Sundays you are failing yourself. Nothing beats health and love for one self … with that you can love and heal the 🌎.” From surfing to swimming and everything in between, Gabeira shows how her dedication to wellness fuels both her personal and professional life.

1. She Surfs

Surfing is the main way Gabeira stays fit. Surfing England states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Surfing requires a lot of focus, which can help to clear your mind and get into a flow state. When you’re out in the water, most of the time you’re not thinking about work or other stressors in your life. Instead, you’re focused on catching the next wave and enjoying the moment.”

2. She Swims

Gabeira shared this video on Instagram of herself doing different exercises. She is seen going for a dip in the pool in it. Swimming has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic states, “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

3. She Does Jumping Jacks

Maya Gabeira.2Maya Gabeira/Instagram

Gabeira is seen doing jumping jacks in the previous Instagram video. Gymless states that the exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Jumping jacks is an effective total-body workout that can be practiced nearly everywhere. It works on your heart, lungs, and muscles simultaneously. The primary muscles worked are the glutes, hip flexors, and quadriceps. The secondary muscles worked are the abs, calves, hamstrings, and shoulders (anterior deltoids and posterior deltoids).”

4. She Runs On A Treadmill

Maya Gabeira.4Maya Gabeira/Instagram

Gabeira is also seen running on a treadmill in her Instagram video. Healthy Talbot states that treadmill exercise can be very beneficial. “Treadmill working is an aerobic/ cardio exercise. Studies demonstrate that aerobic exercise can minimize the risk of heart diseases. Moreover, they can strengthen your heart muscles. This helps to lower blood pressure and allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently. Most doctors recommend aerobic exercise to people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.”

5. She Does Russian Twists

Gabeira is also seen doing Russian twists with a weight in her Instagram post. Gymless states that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “Russian Twists are a great exercise that develops all parts of your core, especially the obliques, it also targets the shoulders and hips. This exercise involves rotating your torso from side-to-side while maintaining a sit up position with your feet off the ground. This rotational movement often occurs in sports, which makes it a popular exercise amongst athletes. It is speculated that this was developed during the Cold War by the former Soviet Union as a training exercise for the Russian Soldiers.”

She loves to surf

Tatiana truly enjoys what she does. “After 2 weeks of not surfing a pool session is worth gold! i love surfing 🏄🏼♀☺✨☺️ thank you @rockstarenergy @brunozanin_ 🖤🎥: @boavistavillage,” she said on Instagram (translated to english). According to Better Health, “surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength from the paddling, [and] leg and core strength [because] once you’re standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up.”

She indulges

Tatiana splurges on her favorite treats now and then, but what’s her favorite one to grab? “Ice cream, for sure. I’m a huge fan of ice cream,” she said in an interview with Free Surf Magazine. According to Northwestern Medicine, “for those on a highly restrictive, low-calorie diet, psychologists and nutritionists often believe that cheat meals allow individuals to eat better throughout the week. This planned splurge in calories often allows people to forgo other unplanned and often binge-inducing meals – meals that take much longer to bounce back from and could throw you off the wagon altogether.”

She loves the water

Even when she’s not catching a wave surfing, she loves spending time in or near the water. “I love snorkeling, and I love going on my dad’s boat. They go fishing — I’m not a big fisherwoman but I love being on the boat with my dad and brother. It makes everyone bond and it’s a fun time,” she said in an interview with Free Surf Magazine.

She does cardio

She conditions to avoid injuries of any kind, especially injuries that keep her away from surfing and the water. “For me the most important part of conditioning is being able to prevent injuries and be really ready for whatever is going to come your way. For me, that’s a lot of cardio and long surf sessions,” she said in an interview with Free Surf Magazine.

She supports women

She’s proud to be part of women’s surfing. “I think women deserve every inch and centimeter of the recognition that they’re getting now because of the fact that we’ve pushed ourselves beyond the limits of how women’s surfing has been. We’ve advanced it to a different level and I think it’s motivated both men and women alike. Women have made an amazing statement and women’s surfing will only get better from here. It’s really fun to be a part of this level of surfing right now,” she said in an interview with Free Surf Magazine.

Coco Ho, a professional surfer and winner of several prestigious titles, including the World Qualifying Championship and ASP Pro Junior Champion in 2011, embodies the balance of strength, technique, and wellness. As the younger version of Anne Marie in Blue Crush, Ho’s surfing prowess and commitment to health have continued to inspire fans worldwide. Recently, she shared vacation highlights on Instagram featuring her surfing, biking, and dining out, captioned “J’adore Hossegor.” Here’s how Coco stays fit, focused, and ready to ride the waves.

1. She Does A Jiu Jitsu-Esque Workout

Coco HoCoco Ho/Instagram

.

Ho shared one of her favorite workouts in an interview with ESPN. “I don't do as much stuff in the gym or with a personal trainer anymore. My favorite training over the last two years is a jiujitsu workout called Ginastica Natural -- ‘natural gymnastics.’ It's all bodywork, and it's all about hip mobility and glutes and being more adaptive to falling or landing weird -- perfect for surfers.”

2. She Does Breathwork

Ho tells ESPN that a big part of her wellness routine and surfing process is breathwork. “A huge part of Ginastica Natural is breathing. It's one of the biggest things I've learned through this new training. It's all about focusing on the control of your exhale instead of the inhale -- because you will always naturally inhale. After a wave, it helps with my paddles back out. When you're in the proper breath, your paddling will be in good form. The breath controls so much of the mind, so if your breath is at ease, your mind is at ease. It's become natural for me now.”

3. She Does Functional Training

Ho shared some of her wellness secrets with Thorne. “I try to start each day with some functional movements,” she says. “Which are perfect because they are a nice stretch and a good way to turn on your muscles for the day. Most of my workouts are considered functional training, usually nothing more than 30-pound kettle bells and a lot of focus on core strength, speed, agility, and flexibility.”

4. She Eats Healthy

Ho makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She talked about her secrets for doing so in her Thorne interview. “Because we travel so much, options per country always change. If I’m surfing right away when I wake up, then breakfast is usually pretty light – I love fruit and it’s usually always available in the tropical places I’m in. I don’t eat much red meat – simply by choice so I try to make sure I get the nutrients I might lack from avoiding certain foods.”

5. She Takes Supplements

Ho revealed to Thorne that she takes a lot of supplements. “I’ve learned what supplements help my energy and focus, my hydration levels, and my muscle replenishment. Truly the full package. When taking supplements, it’s so easy to not know everything you’re ingesting, and Thorne is the highest quality – for everything. I love knowing that. Their quality and wide range of products definitely helped my decision on trusting Thorne.”

Professional surfer Brianna Cope took a break from the waves to hit the ground running with friends. Cope, 33, shared pictures of herself wearing black shorts and a matching sports bra, flashing the peace sign at the camera. “The worlds funnest race ever😂✨❤️ this race has a mix of whatever you want to do! Run a 5k, half, full marathon or an ultra. You make the rules 🤪 I did a half marathon mixed in with sauna sessions, talking with friends and making new ones! what a special event @jesseitzler @devonlevesque 🫶🏼,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the athlete takes care of her health and happiness, inside and out.

1. Super Surfer

Cope was born with a birth defect on her left hand, which made her childhood difficult—but she now feels it gives her an edge with surfing. “I think I'm faster at paddling because I don't have fingers so I don't have any drag,” she told Olympics.com. “I'm really fast. It's my superpower for sure.”

2. KT Tape and Spotify

Cope swears by KT Tape and Spotify for workouts. “This has been a huge essential for running!” she told Wellworthy. “This tape has been essential for my running routine, providing crucial support and stability to my muscles and joints while also promoting better blood flow… From working out in the gym to a drive to go check the waves….Spotify is always on repeat.”

3. Go-To Supplements

Cope takes supplements as part of her wellness regimen. “I’m always on the go so making sure I get enough protein throughout the day is so important for me,” she told Wellworthy. “Making my morning oat milk cappuccino is one of the first things I do each day. It’s a must. I’ve been using LivOn supplements for 6 years. Right now my go to is Magnesium before bed, and B Complex and Vitamin C in the morning.”

4. Resistance Training

Cope does strength training sessions at the gym, using weights and a medicine ball to get fit and strong. One Instagram post shows the surfer wearing two-piece workout gear as she goes through a whole strength routine. “In my fitness era,” she captioned the post.

5. Strength Through Adversity

Cope’s experience growing up with a birth defect has only made her stronger. "Growing up, it's always so hard to be labeled as different,” she told Olympics.com. “When I was a kid, I thought everyone was different and I was the one with the normal hand. Being born with a birth defect and having kids pick on you, it really is so tough. I was always so shy, so embarrassed. But that taught me though, to overcome. I bring it back to competing because I have the drive and the tenacity from being bullied and from being pushed down so much that I'm able to overcome. I feel like it translates into my surfing and how I am as a person."

French Olympic surfer Johanne Defay is happiest in nature, so it’s no wonder she does even her yoga workouts outside. Defay, 30, shared a video reel of herself wearing shorts and a black hoodie, going through a number of yoga poses against a beautiful sunset. “Flow 🎶🧜‍♀️🙏🏽🧡 #yogis,” she captioned the post. “Love your flow!” a fan commented. Here’s what Defay’s diet, wellness, and training regimen looks like.

1. Smoothie Bowls

Defay is a big foodie. “I love food and breakfast!” she told Women Fitness. “I love smoothie bowls topped with any kind of cool stuff! toast with any nut butter with banana hemp seed and honey, or homemade banana bread, and sometimes croissants or buns. I like to do healthy pancakes too, but I get lazy sometimes… And I will always have my coffee.”

2. Family Matters

Defay relies on her family for strength and support. “My family, my mom and dad are never far away, and today there is also my husband, he accompanies me for every competition,” she told MK Sport. “We know each other so well, it's become routine, it's never been complicated.”

3. Husband and Coach

Defay’s husband Simon Paillard is also her coach. “We started working together on mental preparation, and later it became my only referee: for mental and physical preparation,” she told MK Sport. “It helped me a lot to gain self-confidence, we move forward together, and we learn together. It's a strength to have him by my side and if he can't be there, my mother or my father take over. Their advice is valuable, their support and love, indispensable.”

4. Surfers Are Athletes

Defay wants to dispel the myth that surfing is easy. “That surfing is [spending] all the time under palm trees in a bikini,” she told Women Fitness. “Sometimes, I have to wake up at 4.45 a.m. and I have to put my wetsuit on that is still a bit wet, and go surf in [cold] water when it is still dark. That it is just a lifestyle, I think now competitive surfers are real athletes. That it could be a dangerous sport, it really depends on the conditions. And that surfer girls are not supermodels but athletes.”

Workout Regimen

Defay loves working out outdoors, and says nature makes her feel alive. “I work out everyday, I need it to feel good and not be grumpy!” she told Women Fitness. “I have two types of routines: home/training routine where I will be surfing, but even more training in the gym, run, hike and trail running, road bike or mountain bike, skate, do yoga, meditate, swim, and walk. Then I have my routine when I compete where I will wake up between 4.45 and 6.45 and go surf before the contest starts to see how are the conditions of the day. And depending on the contest, I will compete, or rest, or surf again, or do yoga/training.”

In her latest Instagram post, Sharvari showcased her grit with a hardcore beach workout, flipping a massive tire in the sand. Adding a playful pun to her caption, she wrote, “Never tyre’d of a good beach workout.”
So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Sharvari is seen doing a strength training exercise. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. Sharvari captioned the post, “BEAST MODE on for Vedaa! ⚠️☠️🥊 Took up boxing to become Vedaa... Now I am ready to pack a punch or be strong enough to take a brutal beating 💪#Vedaa coming to a theatre near you on August 15th.”

She Runs

Sharvari likes to run to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself running on the beach. She captioned the post, “Decided to seas the day!” Better Health says that running is very beneficial. “Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can: help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness, burn plenty of kilojoules, help maintain a healthy weight.”

Natasa Stankovic in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Wednesday Challenge"

Stankovic shares her go-to workout moves, from squats to lunges, cardio, Pilates, and strength training.

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
