Amanda Batula, star of Summer House and co-creator of LoverBoy, is a multi-talented entrepreneur. Between her ventures, Batula also prioritizes her health and well-being. She recently shared an Instagram video with husband Kyle Cooke, where he playfully lifted her from the ground onto his back. “Honestly a lot harder than I thought it would be,” she wrote. From playing with her dogs to spending time on the beach, Amanda embraces a balanced lifestyle. Here’s how she stays healthy, both mentally and physically.
1. She Has Dogs
Batula has two dogs, whom she prominently features on Instagram. She shared this video of herself playing with her pups. Harvard Health states that owning a dog can have some health benefits. “Ongoing research is showing that the health benefits of owning a dog are undeniable. Dog owners have lower blood pressure and healthier cholesterol levels, and a lower risk of heart disease, than non-owners. There are also many psychological benefits to having a pooch around. Dog owners are less prone to bouts of loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Simply petting your dog can make you feel less stressed.”
2. She Takes Care Of Her Mental Health
In the most recent Summer House reunion, Batula opened up about her struggles with depression. She received a lot of praise for her reveal, and shared this post on Instagram thanking people for their support. Batula captioned the post, “Posting to the grid because I am currently SOBBING at all of your beautiful messages and feel others would benefit from seeing them as well. Love you guys.”
3. She Didn’t Weigh Herself

Batula shared some of her weight loss secrets on Instagram. She says that she didn’t focus on weighing herself. “I avoided the scale for a full year because the number that you see doesn’t matter, what mattered to me was how I felt in the clothes that I was wearing and how I physically felt about myself. As long as your favorite pair of jeans fit, that’s the end goal.”
4. She Goes To The Beach
Since Batula spends her summers in the Hamptons, she and her cast members go to the beach a lot. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself and her fellow cast members at the beach. OrthoSouth states that going to the beach has a lot of benefits. “Walking on the beach has proven benefits to your emotional and mental health. A 2019 study found that spending at least two hours in nature per week helps lower levels of cortisol, a primary stress hormone. It also increased overall feelings of well-being. Try a morning stroll to help you feel more awake and alert or an evening walk to relax and unwind.”
5. She Intermittent Fasts
On Instagram, Batula revealed that one of the reasons for her weight loss is intermittent fasting. John Hopkins Medicine states that doing this has a lot of benefits. “Studies discovered that intermittent fasting boosts working memory in animals and verbal memory in adult humans. Intermittent fasting improved blood pressure and resting heart rates as well as other heart-related measurements.”
