Sussanne Khan in Bathing Suit Enjoys "Endless Memories"

Here’s how she stays healthy and energized.

Indian interior designer Sussanne Khan is enjoying the sun, sea, and beautiful beaches in Los Cabos, Mexico with boyfriend Arslan Goni. The ex-wife of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan shared pictures and videos of her romantic getaway, including snaps of her posing on a boat in a black bikini and white sarong. "Sunshine, laughter, and endless memories with my favorite people 🧸🌴💚🇲🇽📸👯‍♀️ #LosCabos thank you Life," she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Khan stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1

Multitasking and Discipline

Khan fits her exercise sessions in around her daily schedule, no matter how busy life gets. "I wake up at 6.45am. I'm here when my boys Hrehaan and Hridaan have their breakfast and leave for school around 7.50am," she says. "Till about 8.45am, I catch up on the news, or whatever needs my attention at home. Then about 9.00am, I head to the gym. I finish my workout, and then I'm at work. Everything is planned; it's discipline all the way. It's so easy for one to understand how much time there's in a day if you plan well. It's discipline that will set you free — I believe that. There are a lot of notions that multitasking will drain you, but it only energizes me!"

Family Workouts

Khan and Roshan are happily co-parenting their sons, and worked out as a family even during the pandemic lockdowns. "Around 6pm each day, we have our innovative workout sessions, all planned skilfully by the best trainer on the planet—Hrithik!" Khan says. "Some days we focus on core training, other days on functional training or cardio. We earnestly follow the sets he gives us and the burst of endorphins post these sessions has helped us greatly to not just stay healthy, but happy as well."

Therapeutic Chores

Khan finds working with her hands to be therapeutic and soothing. "Doing household chores is very therapeutic, whether it is kneading your own dough, chopping vegetables, baking or experimenting with new recipes and cooking up your own concoctions," she says. "Everyday activities force us to acknowledge and appreciate what we have—from laying the dining table for lunch and dinner, to washing your own clothes, gardening on your terrace or sketching, drawing and painting."

What's In Her Fridge?

There are certain foods Khan always keeps on hand for herself and for entertaining. "Cheese, honey, yogurt, cold foods, and black coffee," she says. "French red wine, chocolates, food, things to snack on – as if it is games night."  Yogurt is especially beneficial as a healthy snack. "Yogurt is a nutrient-dense food that is a good source of dairy protein, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B-12, conjugated linoleic acid, and other key fatty acids," says the National Institutes of Health. "In addition, it contains beneficial bacterial cultures, making it a potential source of probiotics."

Career Woman

Khan says she will never give up the mental health benefits of having a rewarding career she loves. "Yes, whether it's me being a homemaker, a mother, or a lover to a special someone; I think my work zone is equal to all of that," she says. "And as a worker, I wouldn't even call myself a person who heads an organization. I see my team as my family. I call them my gladiators because we are so connected. I don't think I could ever not work because it's my work that lights me up!"
