The influencer celebrated her quarter-century birthday in the islands this week, sharing lots of bathing suit photos in the process. “i love turks. i love my people. i don’t love 25 seriously,” she captioned one of the posts. 1. Play Tennis
Tana loves playing tennis. Why is it such a great workout? Like other racquet sports, it blends together cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and hand-eye coordination, explains ACE Fitness. "While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding," they say.
2. Indulge in Self-Care
Tana prioritizes self-care. One of her go-to practices is taking a daily bath. Soaking in the the tub is surprisingly good for you, linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that baths may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
3. Take a Walk
Tana also gets her steps in by taking regular walks. Why should you add a brisk walk to your daily routine? One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace
4. Drink Coffee
Tana enjoys a daily cup of coffee. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
5. Drink Red Wine
Tana’s drink of choice? Red wine. “Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy,” says the Mayo Clinic. “The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks.”
