The Challenge Star Averey Tressler in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Kyland Knows Everything"
Averey Tressler is telling all – in her two-piece workout gear. During a recent podcast The Challenge star discusses the show, showing off her amazingly fit figure in an exercise set in the promo. "Kyland knows everything," she says in the clip, referring to her co-star, Kyland Young. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Hiking
Averey is a hiker. Here she is hiking at Table Rock. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Red Wine
When it comes to wine, Averey prefers red. "Fine like wine 🍷It only took me 32 years to enjoy it," she captioned a recent post of herself holding a glass. "Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy," says the Mayo Clinic. "The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks."
Snowboarding
Averey enjoys winter sports – including snowboarding. Here she is during a "#snowday" and
"#shredding" with her friends on a mountain. According to the University of Rochester, snowboarding, like skiing, is a great cardiovascular workout. "Because they are also weight-bearing exercises, they strengthen your bones as they tone your muscles," they say. "Cardiovascular or aerobic exercises also work to reduce your risk for chronic diseases, and lower blood pressure. They also help you maintain a healthy body weight. Through regular aerobic exercise like skiing and snowboarding, you lower your risk of developing conditions like diabetes and heart disease, having a stroke, and perhaps even getting cancer."
Coffee
Averey loves dogs and coffee."My two favorite things 🤗😍," she captioned a photo of herself holding a cup of coffee with her pooch in the background. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. "It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function," they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
Why This Season of the Show Is the "Hardest" Ever
"This year, we went to Vietnam, and it was probably one of the hardest conditions that I've ever competed in," Averey recently told The U.S. Sun. "Really, very, very humid, very hot, unreal, like, unrelenting," Averey said of the experience. "It was just probably the toughest one, especially since I was competing against 39 other people – the biggest cast we've ever had to compete with." The reality star, who is in Era 3, also admits that she is struggling because she took an almost decade long break from reality TV."I think this one for me, the reason why this season was most challenging for myself is there was such a big amount of people, and I have been out of the reality TV scene for about eight years," Averey explained."There's a lot of people that have been doing this for 10 seasons."
