It’s not a surprise that some of the biggest names in the entertainment world are also some of the richest. After decades of success, these five superstars are literal billionaires with careers in music, acting, presenting, writing, directing, and so much more. Not only are they wealthy, but every person on the list is also a philanthropist. Here is the reported net worth of the biggest stars on the planet—and how they made their fortunes.

1. George Lucas

With a net worth of $5.5 billion and a career spanning decades, George Lucas is one of Hollywood’s top earners. He founded Lucasfilm in 1971 and sold it to Disney for 4 billion, having already made a fortune from the movies and merchandising. “I took over control of the merchandising not because I thought it was going to make me rich, but because I wanted to control it. I wanted to make a stand for social, safety and quality reasons,” Lucas says. “I didn’t want someone using the name Star Wars on a piece of junk.”

2. Steven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg’s net worth is a cool $3.7 billion, which he has amassed over decades of writing, producing, and directing some of Hollywood’s most popular and enduring films. “There's a whole other subset of individuals who want to tell their stories, and they're telling them right now on their iPhones, and they're telling them right now on social media and on Twitter and on Instagram and on TikTok,” Spielberg says about the next generation of filmmakers. “I have my eye out for them all the time because that is ... those are the individuals that should know what goes into preparing a script.”

3. Oprah Winfrey

With a net worth of $2.6 billion, Oprah Winfrey has done it all—acting, presenting, producing, writing, being a top executive… The list is seemingly endless. Her best advice for fans? To practice self-care. "The best way I know for sure to stay in steady makeover mode is to take care of yourself," she says. "To feed yourself with love and loving thoughts. To eat food that's delicious to you and to your body. To engage in loving practices, like giving yourself the gift of stillness at least five minutes a day. To surround yourself with people who bring you light, and to banish all forms of negative energy."

4. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has an empire worth $1.8 billion—not bad for someone who was once known as just Paris Hilton’s best friend. "My message was to anyone who wants to be successful in building a business or brand having come from that very specific space — reality show or social media fame — is to work hard,” she says. “It’s not easy. You don’t just post something on social media and overnight you become a success."

5. Rihanna

Rihanna is worth an impressive $1.7 billion, making her the wealthiest female musician on the planet. Aside from her impressive musical career, she is also the founder of the mega-successful beauty brand Fenty Beauty. “I never thought I’d make this much money, so a number is not going to stop me from working,” she says. “I’m working out of what I love to do, what I’m passionate about.”

"I've got myself in a lot of trouble by not saying no. This last year I kind of stopped working out. I think my body just needed a break. And so I did that, and focused more on feeling good as opposed to beating myself up. I have learned to delegate. It still looks awesome, but did I pick out the buttons? No, I didn't. So that, to me, is self care."

From childhoods marred by poverty to reaching unimaginable heights of success, these ten celebrities have defied the odds and turned their lives around. Viola Davis, an EGOT winner, once resorted to extreme measures like stealing and scavenging for food. Country music icon Dolly Parton grew up in a one-bedroom cabin in Tennessee. Selena Gomez and her mother faced constant financial struggles, even running out of gas frequently. Rapper Cardi B's upbringing in the Bronx and her stint as a stripper shaped her journey. Kelly Clarkson experienced the harsh realities of living paycheck to paycheck. These stories of resilience and triumph serve as a reminder that dreams can indeed become a reality, no matter the circumstances.

1. Viola Davis

EGOT winner Viola Davis opened up about her background in a speech at the 2014 Variety Power of Women event. "Although my childhood was filled with many happy memories, it was also spent in abject poverty. I was one of the 17 million kids in this country who didn't know where their next meal was coming from. And I did everything to get food. I've stolen for food. I jumped in huge garbage bins with maggots for food. I had befriended people in the neighborhood who I knew had mothers who cooked three meals a day for food, and I sacrificed a childhood for food and grew up in immense shame."

2. Dolly Parton

The country music icon is currently worth over $600 million. However, Dolly Parton wasn’t always well-off. Parton notably grew up poor, even talking about her background in her song, “Coat of Many Colors.” She grew up in a one-bedroom cabin in Tennessee with farmer parents.

4. Cardi B

Rapper Cardi B grew up in the Bronx, and is open about her struggle to make ends meet. Cardi notably worked as a stripper, before starring on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop. 5. Kelly Clarkson

Before winning the first season of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson grew up poor in Texas. She opened up about her background, and how it’s impacted her, in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. “We lived prepay check to prepay check. I was like, whatever I'm gonna do, I just don't wanna have to worry [like] that. I always used to hate when people would be like, 'Money doesn't buy everything,' when you are little and poor. Rich people say that, not poor people. I don't know one poor person that's going, 'Money doesn't buy happiness.' It pays you to get out of eviction notices."

6. Daniel Oyelowo

BRITAIN-ENTERTAINMENT-BFI-FILM-FESTIVALDaniel Leal/Getty Images

The actor and his family moved to Los Angeles for his career. Unfortunately, they had to live through the 2008 recession. Oyelowo opened up about this in an interview with The Times. “It got pretty dark for a moment. I’ll never forget, my wife and I got down to our last $3. We couldn’t go to the hole in the wall because we were at rock bottom. And the reason I know it was $3 is because I remember standing in our house and giving her $2 and, almost symbolically, keeping the extra dollar in my wallet. And just feeling like, ‘What did we do coming here? What were we thinking?’" But Oyelowo didn’t give up, and booked his breakout role in The Butler.

7. Eminem

Eminem’s backstory would be explained in the film, 8 Mile, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself.

8. Jim Carey

When Carey was young, his father lost his job, and he had to drop out of high school and work to help support his family. Carey previously worked as a janitor and security guard in his teens. "My dad was cool, man. That's the one thing about therapy, they kinda focus you on what did your parents do, what did they not do. Yeah sure, in certain ways, they made me grow up fast. But the list of what they did for me was so enormous."

9. Justin Bieber

Los,Angeles,,Usa.,July,23,,2019:,Leonardo,Dicaprio,At,TheShutterstock

Lopez famously texted Leonardo DiCaprio during her Carpool Karaoke segment. The actor talked about his new movie, Killers Of The Flower Moon to Deadline. “We did a lot of work to try to help Marty do what he does best, which is to tell a very human story,” says DiCaprio. “To get to the dark side of the human condition but also understand the complexities. Here you had the wealthiest nation, the richest per capita people in the world. You had this melting pot in Oklahoma where freed slaves had created their own economy, and the Osage emerged as this wealthy culture. But you also had during that period the rise of the KKK and white supremacy and this clash of cultures. For some of these white settlers, it was like a gold rush to take advantage of people of color.”

4. Ryan Seacrest

Los,Angeles,-,Dec,06:,Ryan,Seacrest,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Lopez was a judge on American Idol, hosted by Ryan Seacrest. He shared his diet secrets with People. "I'm like con-vegan, I call it conveniently vegan. So I do cheat and eat things every once a while, but I try and mostly stay plant-based and fish-based occasionally."

Lopez gets along with her husband’s ex, actress Jennifer Garner. The two are seen doing activities with their kids together. Garner works with trainer, Beth Nicely, to help her stay in shape. "On a typical day we'll do a solid warm-up and then we'll get the blood flowing and the heart rate up a bit with some cardio dances," Nicely told Shape. "We might do two to four dances and then I'll usually take her through a plyometric box series."

7. Cameron Diaz

Your body just shifts, and you gotta go with it.”

10. Harry Connick Jr.

Los,Angeles,-,Aug,2:,Harry,Connick,Jr,At,TheShutterstock

Lopez’s fellow American Idol judge, Harry Connick Jr., shared his diet and workout secrets with The Telegraph. “I work out for 30 minutes every day at home in Connecticut; sometimes I do kettlebells. I don’t like to eat before noon – I’m an intermittent faster, otherwise I really go to extremes. I can eat a whole pizza or eight doughnuts, it’s like I don’t have an off switch. In 2019, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) opened up about working as an actress and the pressure she deals with in an interview with ELLE. “The pressure is real," she said. "But at the same time, even you saying that – you, the most extraordinary, perfect human being on the planet, inside and out – is reassuring, because it shows that it’s a mental state most women find themselves in, rather than actually being something that’s important. I feel like when I’m on set working with people I love, with my head in the work, all those things fall away. I stop caring about any of that shit."

2. Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy III) shared some of her skincare and wellness secrets with Byrdie. She says that she gets creative with things. “Growing up in the Dominican Republic, I learned to be very organic with my beauty routine,” Saldana said. “Cooking products are not just for cooking; you can actually use them for beauty, for wellness. If you live in the islands, you get a coconut, and you use every part of that coconut. You drink the water, you make food with the meat, you can squeeze it and make coconut milk, and that milk you can put on your skin, on your hair. And then you can make coconut oil and coconut butter. I grew up using the environment to its full potential. And that just made me feel really, what’s the word, grounded. Because I was using everything around me in so many different ways, not just conventionally.”

3. Chris Pratt

Lots of push-ups, lots of sit ups. There’s lots of lifting weights. During COVID, you could get lots of frustration so I kind of got [producer] Jeremy [Latcham] to hook me up with a punching bag by my trailer. That helped a lot with the stressful days. I had a blast training.”

Jennifer Lawrence (No Hard Feelings) worked with Kurt Foreman to prep for her role in Red Sparrow. Anthony Ramos (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) does a lot of core workouts to stay in shape. He shared some of his favorites in a video for Men’s Health. In it, he is seen doing exercises like bear plank to planks, bear planks to a push-up, back extensions with rotations, and skin the cat exercises. The Mayo Clinic states that having a strong core is important. “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

Chanel Coco Brown isn’t just sharing workout tips—she’s living them. The professional influencer, known for her vibrant wellness content on Instagram, recently posted an inspiring message to her followers as the year wrapped up. Dressed in sleek two-piece workout gear, Brown encouraged everyone to keep pushing their fitness goals, reminding us, “The year isn’t over yet, making each day count 🔒.” With a mix of motivational wisdom and seriously strong routines, Brown shows how discipline and dedication fuel her fitness journey. From Pilates to pulldowns, here’s how she stays in peak shape.

She Disciplined

When it comes to fitness, Brown is disciplined. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “I’M TALKING TO YOU 🗣️ it’s Monday, let’s go! This is what I do when I don’t want to go to the gym 👉🏽 I put my shoes on, get in the car, turn up to the gym, still I don’t want to workout and that’s okay, it’s okay to not want to do something but what we’re still going to do is show up. We’re going to show up because that is how we’re going to build self-discipline, that is how we’re going to build a habit, a habit that will take you from where you are to where you want to be. It’s okay to not want to do something, you can crawl back to your home comforts, but nothing grows from comfort zones and we can’t always let our thoughts or mood dictate our actions. Get uncomfortable, learn to be okay with uncomfortable. Complain throughout the whole workout if you want to, take it slower, have a mediocre session if that suits you, because it’s not about this single session it’s about the bigger picture - you showed up, even when you could have made 100 excuses, you showed up because you’re levelling up. Self-discipline baby.”

She Does Pilates

Brown likes to do Pilates to keep herself in shape. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself at a class. The Cleveland Clinic states that Pilates has a lot of benefits. “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

She Does Treadmill Exercises

Brown shared some of her favorite exercises in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing in it is walking on a treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that these exercises have a lot of benefits. “Treadmill working is an aerobic/ cardio exercise. Studies demonstrate that aerobic exercise can minimize the risk of heart diseases. Moreover, they can strengthen your heart muscles. This helps to lower blood pressure and allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently. Most doctors recommend aerobic exercise to people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.

Cardiovascular exercises control cholesterol levels in the blood, preventing artery blockage. They increase high-density lipoprotein and reduce low-density lipoprotein in the blood.”

She Does Squats

Brown is also seen doing squats in the previous Instagram video. Allina Health reports that they have a lot of health benefits. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

She Does Pulls-Downs

Brown shared this video on Instagram of herself doing back exercises, including pulldowns. This exercise is very beneficial. Piedmont states, “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability.”

Bianca Bustamante is revving up her engine in 2025 – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. In her new post she added that she is meal prepping. “I’m soooo all in that im even learning how to cook & meal prep better than ever before,” she writes.

Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

Brenda Perlaza is flaunting her fantastic figure in a tiny bikini. In a new social media post the influencer, who calls herself La Barbie Negra, looks flawless as she poses on the beach in a neon yellow swimsuit. “#viral,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Wow Wow,” one of her followers commented, while several others added fire emojis. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Jogging

Brenda enjoys jogging. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Walking Her Dog

She also takes her dog on long walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Dancing

You can also find Brenda dancing to burn calories. Dancing is an excellent workout for many reasons. It builds strength and promotes flexibility, helps you lose weight, and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues

Swimming

Brenda spends a lot of time in her swimsuit so it isn’t surprising she loves to swim. According to the CDC, swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, multiple studies support the mental health benefits of swimming.

Hydration

Finally, Brenda hydrates, especially after a long workout or sun exposure. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
