She Does Yoga
While Tina maintains that she isn't super into exercise, she does have one go-to form of exercise. She told Telly Chakkar that she practices yoga. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
She Hydrates
Tina prioritizes hydration. "I consume a lot of water and fruits in order to stay healthy and fit," she told the publication. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
She Eats Less Throughout the Day
"I prefer having healthy breakfast and normal lunch and light dinner. Always eat your dinner before 8 pm and have a regular diet," Tina revealed about her approach to eating. Her favorite breakfast? "Egg cooked by my mom is a must on my breakfast table," she said. Lunch, "generally consists of roti and sabji; a typical homemade meal," she added. Dinner is "usually a light meal and I always prefer my 'ghar ka khana'."
She Eats Meat
You won't find Tina following a plant-based diet. "Being a true Bengali I am a hardcore non vegetarian, " she said. "My favorite cuisine is Chinese Dimsums are my all time favorite."
She Drinks Coffee and Tea
Tina enjoys the perks of caffeine. "I prefer having tea and coffee with sugar," she told Telly Chakkar. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. "It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function," they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
