Laura Woods is working out with her fiancé – in her exercise gear. In a new social media post the TNT sports host shows off her baby bump in a two-piece exercise set during a workout with her baby daddy, personal trainer Adam Collard. “I may be biased but I think I’ve got a favourite client,” he captioned the Instagram video, which Woods also shared via her Instagram Stories. How does the host approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top tips for staying in shape.

1. Strength Train

Laura Woods.1Laura Woods/Instagram

In her recent Instagram Stories, Laura does a strength training workout. Exercises include RDLs and bird dogs. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

2. Stay Active on Vacation

Laura Woods.2Laura Woods/Instagram

Laura doesn’t use her vacations as an excuse to slack on exercise. During a recent trip to Cornwall, she hopped on a standup paddleboard. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and also a great form of cardio. The water sport can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140 pound male and 436 for a female the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

3. Get Your Steps In

Laura Woods.3 ScreenshotLaura Woods/Instagram

Laura makes sure to get her steps in. On the same trip she went for a “beach walk.” If you want to lose weight, science recommends 10,000 steps per day. A 2018 study published in the journal Obesity found a link between walking 10,000 steps a day and weight loss and weight management. Other studies published by the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) in JAMA Neurology and in JAMA Internal Medicine also linked walking 10,000 steps a day to less dementia and less cardiovascular disease overall, with less heart disease, less heart failure and fewer strokes.

4. Surf

Laura Woods.4Laura Woods/Instagram

Laura is a surfer girl, another outdoor activity that boasts health benefits. According to the Australian government’s Better Health, it improves cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. “Once you’re standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up,” they say.

5. Do Yoga

Laura Woods.5Laura Woods/Instagram

Laura enjoys yoga. “Ending a week of sun, sea & yoga with a good old fashioned photo shoot,” she captioned a photo from a trip to Ibiza. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

6. Cycling

In her recent workout clips, Laura cycles on an air bike. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Megan Olivi is a professional reporter. She is known for her coverage of the MMA and The San Diego Padres. Olivi recently shared a carousel post of her favorite 2024 memories on Instagram. In them, she is seen spending time with her loved ones and her dog. Olivi captioned the post, “A few favorite 2024 moments .. too lazy to make a reel 😂 .. more posts to come.”

She Gained Experience In Her Field

Olivi talked about her career and what advice she gives to others in an interview with The Province. “I always tell people that I feel like experience is the biggest thing,” she said. “When people are trying to decide what they want to do, I always tell everyone, ‘Just go where you can intern and that way you know if you like it or not.’ I would have went into the world of politics thinking this is what I want to do forever, probably hating my life and making nothing, but who has the time for that?”

She Works Hard

Olivi makes sure to work hard. She talked about taking a job at Heavy.com and going all in on it to The Province. “I told my family – they were hysterical and then they were supportive – and I was just like, ‘Okay, I’m going to do this’ and I dove in headfirst. If I ever do something, I give it everything and so I was going to give it my everything and it became a real passion, both professionally and personally.”

She Doesn't Put Up With Mistreatment

Olivi encouraged people to not put up with mistreatment, even if it’s at work in her Province interview. “As long as you’re not showing up to work drunk or hungover or with a serious drug problem – if you love horror movies and that’s not okay, that’s not okay. It’s like, ‘Why do you care if I’m drinking or not? Why do you care what I’m doing on my free time? I’m not asking you what you were doing.’ My free time consists of me doing yoga and hanging out with my dog, that’s about it. If that bothers you, we have an issue. And if they tell you that you look ugly with a ponytail, tell them to go **** themselves because that’s not okay.”

She Wants To Make People Comfortable

Olivi shared how she approaches interviews with The Province. “Because I work for the UFC, they know I’m not going to stir the pot with them,” she explained. “I’m not going to bring up things that are going to catch them off guard; that’s not my deal. My deal is we’ve got this incredible platform and everyone on our roster has got a story to tell, so let me give you a safe space so that people that see you in the Octagon know what you’re like when it’s been two months since your fight and you’re just chilling with your family. That’s really important to me.”

She Hikes

Megan Olivi is seen hiking with family.

Olivi is seen on a hike with friends in her Instagram post. Hiking has a lot of benefits. Piedmont states, “Hiking is a weight-bearing exercise that builds muscle mass and helps prevent osteoporosis. Hiking can help you manage your weight. It is a joint-friendly form of exercise that can keep arthritis sufferers more limber and mobile.”

British sports presenter Anna Woolhousе is looking back on a beautiful sun-soaked vacation, complete with swimming pools, blue skies, and bikinis. Woolhousе, 39, shared pictures from her trip, including one of her posing in a lilac swimsuit that showed off her incredibly toned and strong physique to perfection. “Little bit of June 💛,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Woolhousе stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. Long Walks

Woolhousе loves going on long walks with her beloved Dachshund Chip, both at home in London and in the Norfolk, UK, countryside. Walking a dog is not only a great way to stay active and healthy, it has many social benefits. “Honestly, I can’t imagine not having Chip now,” she says. “I think in London if you go for a walk on your own, no one will say ‘hello’ to you, but if you go to the park with your dog people will stop and talk because you’ll find yourself asking questions about their dog, they ask about yours and the dogs play together. My life’s better for having him in it, 100%.”

2. She’s a Boxer

Boxing,Gloves,On,Light,BackgroundShutterstock

Woolhousе loves boxing classes, and thinks more women should do it. “I love boxing training, it’s definitely my favorite session,” she says. “It’s the only training where I don’t think about anything else other than the task at hand. I’m so focused on what punch or combination I’m throwing that my mind can’t wander or allow for distractions. I try and get down to Darren Barker’s boxing gym 12 x 3 in Paddington whenever I can. It’s mentally and physically so different from any other training I’ve done. I have the utmost respect for anyone who steps into the ring be it professional, amateur or for fun.”

3. Strength Training

Woolhousе enjoys the many benefits of strength training and HIIT workouts. “I train the way I think everyone should train, incorporating strength sessions along with HIIT and boxing into my regime,” she says. “I’ve only really taken strength training seriously over the last couple of years since my gym Evolve in Fulham educated me on the importance of it. I honestly love it, I’m totally behind this strong not skinny movement going on right now. I think a lot of women are afraid to lift weights for fear of getting bulky, but that’s simply not the case. All it does is make you strong, mentally and physically and the same can be said for my boxing training.”

4. TRX Training

Woolhousе does TRX (total resistance exercises) sessions with a personal trainer. “I’m a huge fan of TRX training/ There are so many ways you can incorporate it into your workout. It’s such an easy portable piece of kit, you can literally take it anywhere – my TRX is usually found flung around a tree in a park,” she says. “My trainer also likes mixing things up and often brings new equipment to work out with, such as bungee sprints, which are basically a giant piece of elastic tied around your waist which another person holds on to you while you run as fast as you can. It’s a lung buster.”

5. Pilates and Golf

Woolhousе also enjoys yoga, Pilates, and golf. “I try and do a Pilates or yoga session at least once a week as I find it helps stretch muscles that are often pounded in my other sessions,” she says. “I mainly do reformer pilates mixed up with HIIT, the combo is awesome. I wish I could say I was better than I am at golf, but I definitely have a long way to go until I can say I’m any good. Some days I feel like I’m hitting the ball well and making progress, others it’s disastrous! I’ve started having lessons as I want to improve.”

Anna Woolhouse is looking abfab in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the Sky Sports presenter showcases her washboard abs in a one-shoulder two-piece. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. “Absolutely gorgeous,” added another. How does the 39-year-old maintain her impressively fit physique? She works out – a lot. Here are her five favorite workouts.

1. Weight Training

“I personally find if I do a lot of weight training I can build muscle fairly quickly, which is not ideal for me. So I try and stick to bodyweight workouts rather than heavy lifting,” Anna told Best Fit. “My trainer also likes mixing things up and often brings new equipment to work out with, such as bungee sprints, which are basically a giant piece of elastic tied around your waist which another person holds on to you while you run as fast as you can. It’s a lung buster. Slam balls are also great for the shoulders and arms, they are great for cardio endurance and help improve hand-eye coordination, not to mention acting as a nice little stress buster, which is an added bonus.”

2. She Does Pilates and Yoga

“I try and do a pilates or yoga session at least once a week as I find it helps stretch muscles that are often pounded in my other sessions. I mainly do reformer pilates mixed up with HIIT, the combo is awesome,” Anna added.

3. She Boxes

Anna also likes to fight. “Boxing is one of my favorite sports at the moment, I love it!” she told the publication. Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.

4. She Does TRX Training

“I’m also a huge fan of TRX training,” Anna added. “There are so many ways you can incorporate it into your workout. It’s such an easy portable piece of kit, you can literally take it anywhere – my TRX is usually found flung around a tree in a park.”

5. She Golfs

You can find Anna swinging a golf club. “I wish I could say I was better than I am at golf, but I definitely have a long way to go until I can say I’m any good. Some days I feel like I’m hitting the ball well and making progress, others it’s disastrous!” she said.

Lexi Thompson, a professional golfer and recent Solheim Cup winner, is taking her passion for fitness to a new level with the launch of her fitness app. In August, Thompson shared the exciting news on Instagram, captioning, "The time is finally here! So excited to share the Lexi Fitness app with you 👊🏼." Beyond her golf career, Thompson stays fit by incorporating workouts like weight training, stationary biking, and lunges into her routine, and she's eager to help others achieve their fitness goals through her app.

1. She Golfs

Golf is the main way Thompson stays fit. She shared this post on Instagram of her experience at the Solheim Cup. Thompson captioned it, “So proud of this team! Such great golf played by both sides, this week is always a special week for womens golf and truly shows the talent and passion we all have! Thank YOU to the Solheim family for making this incredible event possible, the volunteers, and the FANS for the cheers out there and all making this possible . Some of my most memorable moments in my career are from the @thesolheimcup and I’m so grateful I was part of this team representing my country for my 7th time under my captain Stacey Lewis, a player I’ve always looked up to. Blessed to have the cup back in our hands! 🇺🇸❤️”

2. She Loves Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwiches

Thompson revealed in an interview with Golf Digest that she likes to eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches while playing golf, and explained why. “I noticed my hands were shaking during rounds, so I called Tiger and he asked what I eat on-course. He said to add these peanut-butter-and-banana sandwiches on wheat bread. I eat half of one every three holes to keep my energy constant.”

3. She Uses A Stationary Bike

Thompson likes to use a stationary bike to stay fit. In this Instagram post, she is seen on her Peloton. Using a stationary bike has a lot of benefits. Penn State PRO Wellness states that the workout has a lot of benefits. “Depending on the intensity of your workout and your body weight, you can burn more than 600 calories an hour with a stationary bike workout. This makes indoor cycling an excellent workout option for burning calories quickly.”

4. She Uses Weights

Thompson shares a lot of her workouts on Instagram. She likes to use weights to stay in shape. Thompson shared these videos of herself using weights. She captioned them, “Make the most of today.” ACE Fitness reports that using weights has a lot of benefits. “Using maximal loads for compound (multi-joint) movements like the deadlift, squat-to-shoulder press, bent-over row or chest press can improve intermuscular coordination, which is the ability of many muscles to work together to generate and control high levels of force through multiple joints.”

5. She Does Lunges

Lunges are another workout that Thompson enjoys doing. In the previous Instagram post, she is seen doing side and front lunges. ACE Fitness reports that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “They’re a form of unilateral training, which means you’re working only one limb or side of the body at a time. And unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

Tess Daly is a very successful TV host. She’s best known for being one of the hosts of Strictly Come Dancing since 2004. Daly also hosted Children In Need from 2008 to 2019. She’s been enjoying the summer weather, and a recent Instagram post proves it. In it, Daly is seen outside going for a walk. She captioned the post, “Sunny afternoons means outdoor lunchtime workouts ☀️✨(and big sunglasses, always).” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Tess Daly stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Works With A Trainer

Daly works with personal trainer, Sam Shaw, to keep herself in shape. ACE Fitness reports that having a personal trainer can help someone do the proper exercise routine. “When it comes to fitness, everyone is different. Your unique body mechanics, experience, goals, fitness level, likes and dislikes can guide your trainer in creating a plan that is specific to your needs. With a program that fits, you are more likely to maintain the habit and see results.”

2. She Eats A Protein Option Each Meal

Shaw also opened up about Daly’s diet in his Women’s Health interview. He says that Daly has one source of protein with each of her meals. “We focus on a slightly higher protein-based diet,” Shaw explains. “Aiming to have some form of protein with each meal, whether that’s a veggie, vegan, fish or white meat option.”

3. She Works The Surrounding Muscles Around Her Back

Shaw shared some of Daly’s workout secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. He says that he makes sure to strengthen the areas surrounding Daly’s weaker lower back. “We work together to focus on keeping Tess’s core, back and glutes as strong as possible since she has a slightly weak lower back, so it’s really important to keep all the surrounding muscles intact as support.”

4. She’s Dedicated

Daly is dedicated to her fitness. Shaw talked about her attitude in an interview with Hello! Magazine. “Tess has built amazing habits with regard to her fitness and nutrition,” he said. “Training has become part of her life now, she always turns up for her sessions on time and ready for whatever I’m going to challenge her with. She’s great at taking on a challenge. When I introduce something new to vary the session - Tess always gives it her all and embraces the task, which isn’t always easy!"

5. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Shaw tells Women’s Health that he has Daly do a variety of workouts. “I like to change up exercises, for example, doing body weight movements, dumbbell weights and variations of skipping or boxing. This keeps it fun and interesting and helps the time fly by, at the same time as getting good progression in training (a.k.a. progressive overload) and building a strong physique.”

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.
