Alysia Montaño is one of the most successful track and field athletes of all time. She has won the 800 meter US championship seven times. In 2014, she notably competed while pregnant with her first child. Montaño shared a video on Instagram a few weeks ago of herself training. She captioned the post, “On deck weekly 5x 3 minutes up hilll at 6:00minute to 6:15 pace with 1 minute rest in between! Some are on target some are too slow some are too fast, but this is the reality of building sometimes you’re on and sometimes your off! Keep going!”

1. She Runs

Running is the main way Montaño stays fit. She talked about what she loves about it to Another Mother Runner. “I love the metaphor that I feel for running: the things you overcome, the freedom to just BE. It doesn’t have to always be this elite pursuit. When people think of me as an elite or an Olympian, they may not realize this makes me happy. I feel healthful, I feel good, I get this nice euphoric feeling, my brain is free. I can be the best version of myself for my family. Movement in life provides a healthful mindset. It’s like a reset button. I love that. It doesn’t have to be about running fast all the time, though it can be that, too. Fitness and running will be part of my life FOR EVER, regardless of my half-marathon time or whether I make an Olympic team, because being able to function and move makes me feel like I’m the very best version of myself.”

2. She Eats Foods From Different Food Groups

Montaño makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She shared her favorite foods in an interview with Runner’s World. Montaño says that for dinner, she makes sure to always incorporate an option from the different food groups. No matter the meal, the portions are the same. Half the plate is veggies, one quarter is protein (usually meat), and the second quarter is a carbohydrate (potato or grain).”

3. She Loves Oatmeal

Montaño tells Runner’s World that oatmeal is one of her favorite things to eat for breakfast. “Oatmeal with a ton of fixings. I mix in four diced strawberries, yogurt, sunflower butter, almonds, cashews, dried cranberries, and half of a sliced banana. My baby and I eat this almost every morning.”

4. She Promotes Voting

Montaño speaks out about causes that are important to her. In this Instagram post, she advocated for voting in the upcoming election. “Election Day is less than 40 days away, and voting is the moment,” she wrote in the caption. “The women who came before us fought for our right to vote, and it’s up to us to make our voices heard. I’m proud to partner with @Argent and @WhenWeAllVote’s #VotingSuitsYou campaign. We’re dressed in pink as a bold expression of our joy and our power—and we’re bringing this energy with us to the polls this year. So, check your voter registration, make a plan—join us in pink!—AND VOTE. Because when we all vote, we create the future all women deserve. Visit argentwork.com/votingsuitsyou to learn more and get involved. Link in bio.”

5. She Rides Bikes

Montaño likes to bike ride to stay in shape. She shared this video of herself on a ride on Instagram. Montaño captioned it, “There she go… Experiencing WILD is my fav. Ok triathletes, duathletes… tell me more about this run off the bike because you all are tough!!!! Todays workout: 5k bike ride, 16x400 @5k date pace, 5K bike ride cool down to 6x 100 meter strides and stretching!”

Marileidy Paulino is playing with her dog – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the track star shows off her strong body in an exercise set. “We start next to my 🐕 Gold 🥇 which is named after all the gold medals that I have obtained in the Olympic cycle ♥️ soon we will have Los Angeles 🐕,” she captioned the Instagram snaps, adding the hashtag “stronger than ever.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Hard Work

Marileidy Paulino.1Marileidy Paulino/Instagram

Marileidy has put a lot of work into her sport. “This is something very big, since I come from a poor, humble family. I have been working hard for a long time, working hard to achieve this goal. The gold medal was my dream, and I had the talent to turn this dream into reality,” she told Olympics shortly after winning the gold medal.

2. Volleyball

Paulino played volleyball when she was a kid, and then her PE teacher encouraged her to try track and field after topping a jumping test. “They told me to switch to athletics, but I didn't want to know about athletics. I told them, ‘No, no and no’. Finally, I did it. At first, it became something that I did it for the money, then it became love,” she revealed in another interview.

3. Running Barefoot

Marileidy Paulino.3Marileidy Paulino/Instagram

“I came to athletics because they started paying me, and I said, 'Well, they're giving me something here.' I had to stay here even if it was hard," she added. “I started running barefoot, then I did it with a sock. Afterwards, I think they gave me some sneakers, then I was able to buy some. Everything was a process. I remember that when they took me to my first coach, the first day I ran away because I couldn't stand the training. I couldn't stand that demand, but then they came looking for me again.”

4. Strength Training

Marileidy lifts weights to keep her body fit for the track. Here is she getting ready for the Paris Olympics doing strength training exercises at the gym. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

5. Inspiring Others

Marileidy Paulino.5Marileidy Paulino/Instagram

“I feel proud of myself, but for me the best thing in the end is that all these good results will make young people practise and play sports, want to do athletics and have a dream,” she said after winning the gold medal in Budapest. “When someone wins, children always see it as motivation for them to take the first step. I love children, I love people who are hungry to dream. When I started going to championships, I remember that some children coming to my house to look for me, and they would be shouting, 'Marileidy, Marileidy'… And when they were told I was not at home as I was out training or competing, they would cry.”

1. She Strength Trains

Montenegro loves to post workout videos on social media, so her followers can see how she stays fit. One type of workout she likes to do is strength training. Montenegro posted this video on Instagram of herself doing different strength exercises, including pushing a cart, doing pull-ups, and lifting a barbell. "You might learn weight training techniques by watching friends or others in the gym, but sometimes what you see isn't safe. Incorrect weight training technique can lead to sprains, strains, fractures and other painful injuries that may hamper your weight training efforts," says the Mayo Clinic. "If you're just getting started, work with a knowledgeable weight training specialist — a physical therapist, athletic trainer or other fitness specialist who's familiar with proper weight training technique. If you've been using weights for a while, consider scheduling time with a trainer to double-check your technique and identify any changes you may need to make."

2. She Teaches Online Workout Classes

During the pandemic, Montenegro obviously had to do most of her workouts at home. She decided to start holding online workout classes on Instagram live with other fitness professionals. She did this video with Alana Vincente, captioning the post, “This marks my 2 week workout!”

3. She Hikes

In addition to posting workout videos on Instagram, Montenegro loves to post videos of herself doing outdoor activities. One particular activity she likes to do is hike. She posted this reel of herself going on a walk through the woods, with the caption, “Content is life.” She also posted this hiking video, with the caption, “Art of outdoors.”

4. She Maps Out Her Wellness

Montenegro has a YouTube channel, where she posted this video of some of her fitness and wellness secrets. The first thing she revealed is that she likes to map out her wellness goals on a whiteboard. The whiteboard has categories like, “Goals,” and “Diets,” and has the qualities she wants to incorporate into that aspect of her life.

5. She Focuses On Losing Fat, Rather Than Weight

While the terms “losing weight” and “losing fat” might sound like the exact same thing, they’re not. In the same YouTube video, Montenegro broke down the differences between the two, and revealed which one is more useful to people in their daily life. “You want to lose fat, not lose weight,” she says.

Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk, a decorated track and field athlete, excels in both the long jump and triple jump. Her impressive achievements include two silver medals at the World Championships, a silver at the World Indoor Championships, and multiple European Championship medals. Recently, Romanchuk gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into her morning routine, featuring her skincare regimen, makeup, and hair care. Beyond her beauty rituals, Romanchuk stays committed to her athletic training. Whether swimming to improve endurance, hiking scenic landscapes with her husband, or hitting the treadmill, she keeps her body in peak condition. Her dedication to both her sport and self-care highlights a balanced approach to maintaining physical and mental well-being as she continues to compete at the highest level.

1. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

As you can see in her Instagram post, Romanchuk makes sure to take care of her skin. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “Always taking care of the body🤍 Especially in the sun and after the pool, it is important to moisturize and protect your skin from harmful factors, that's why my favorite body lotion helps me @trihard.ua. I’m not the first one to tell & show it to you anymore, because it’s truly a find🫶🏼”

2. She Swims

Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk.2Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk/Instagram

In her previous Instagram video, Romanchuk is seen swimming in a pool. Better Health states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is a good all-round activity because it: keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness, helps you maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs, tones muscles and builds strength, provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.”

3. She Hikes

Romanchuk likes to hike to stay fit. She sometimes likes to hike with her husband. Romanchuk shared these highlights of a hike the two of them took on her Instagram. She captioned the post, “Another height in kopiločku city. Bruise 1665m Oh, Ukrainian Carpathians these landscapes are breathtaking and once again conquer my heart ♥️”

4. She Runs

Romanchuk shared some of her favorite workouts in this Instagram video. In it, she is seen on a treadmill and running up the stairs. Running has a lot of health benefits. FloTrack says, “Running and jogging is an aerobic exercise, and you’re working out both your heart and lungs while doing so. This will also lead to a lower resting heart rate, lower bad cholesterol in your blood and lower blood pressure. You don’t need to run an obscene amount of miles every day to get these benefits, either. Those who just run a couple of minutes a day decrease their risk of cardiovascular death by 58 percent. If you have a hard time running, you can still give your heart a workout by jogging or walking.”

5. She Lifts Weights

Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk.5Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk/Instagram

In the previous Instagram video, Romanchuk is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Allyson Felix is one of the most successful track and field athletes in the world. She has won ten Olympic medals and continues to stay active by trying new sports. Felix recently shared her journey of learning tennis on Instagram, captioning her post, “From the track 🏃🏽‍♀️ to the court 🎾⁣ After 20 years on the track, it feels good to try new things.” Beyond the court, Felix focuses on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She eats nutritious food, advocates for maternal health, and prioritizes recovery and self-care. Whether it's active recovery after intense workouts, practicing meditation, or taking care of her skin, Felix embraces a holistic approach to health and wellness. Felix's disciplined mindset continues to inspire as she explores new challenges in life beyond the track.

1. She Eats Healthy

Felix makes sure to eat a healthy diet. “I don’t worry about counting calories, carbs or fasting,” she tells PEOPLE. “I focus on my body’s needs to succeed, which are long-lasting energy, hydration and strong, lean muscles. Nutritious food makes me feel good and perform well. Processed and junk food makes me feel tired and bloated — not a gold medal feeling!”

2. She’s An Advocate

African,Psychologist,Hold,Hands,Of,Girl,Patient,,Close,Up.,TeenageShutterstock

Felix is an advocate for maternal health, specifically for people of color. She talked about this in an interview with Vogue. “As an athlete, staying on top of my health has been a concern of mine for a very long time, but when I gave birth to my daughter, I had a lot of complications and so my eyes were opened to the issues surrounding maternal health. Between that and this study, I’ve learned these things are disproportionately happening in my community. I really wanted to get involved and take part in raising awareness.”

3. She Makes Sure To Recover

Felix shared some of her wellness tips with Vogue. She says that she prioritizes recovery after intense workouts. “Recovery is huge. We’re always saying go harder, no days off. But for me, my approach is that recovery is just as important as the work I'm putting in. I dedicate a day to active recovery, definitely wearing my Saysh sneakers to make sure my feet are able to do their best. It usually looks like a 20 minute, getting in my Normatech boots, and using my foam roller; doing all the little things and then seeing my massage therapist and chiropractor. It’s about making sure that my body can withstand the amount of work that I'm putting it through.”

4. She Meditates

Calm,Serene,Sporty,Young,African,American,Ethnic,Woman,Meditate,SitShutterstock

Felix revealed to Vogue that she likes to practice meditation. “I start my day by putting myself in the right mindset with my gratitude journal and a bit of meditation. I want to set the tone for the work that I'm going to put in and make sure I'm coming from a really positive place. Later, if I'm feeling overwhelmed or like I need to take a step back, I always think about what I can do in those moments to help, whether it’s lean into my support system or make time to meditate or have some self-care. It’s important to stay grounded and really know my purpose. I've definitely been blessed with this gift and I try to stay reminded of that. I think it can be so easy to get caught up in the world and all of the outside things, but constantly coming back to and reconnecting with my purpose, and staying centered is something that is really important to me.”

5. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Felix has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her secrets with Vogue. “I typically use Honest Beauty products. I’m always making sure that I'm cleansing, using a moisturizer with some SPF, like Cetaphil’s combination formula, and doing self-care rituals. Anytime that I can take some time just for myself, I love a bubble bath and just soaking. I love to read in the tub and spend time trying to rejuvenate myself.”

Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
