Schmidt shared how she recovers from intense workouts in an interview with FoodSpring. "Since I train almost every day, it is essential for me to recover as quickly as possible. After training, I drink Recovery Aminos: They provide me with quickly available carbohydrates and my muscles with BCAAs after training. They are also super refreshing. For me, replenishing my energy reserves after training is a must. A shake or a banana are always at hand and help me to recharge my batteries immediately. When my muscles are under a lot of strain, I use the Lymphomat."

She Builds Strength

Schmidt talked about her approach to exercising with Women's Health. She says that she focuses on building her strength. "About 30 percent of my training is focused on strength. Explosive and functional full-body exercises are mostly on my schedule. It's super effective, I would recommend such workouts to everyone. I also focus on strengthening and tapping the leg muscles – the classic way is with squats and lunges."

She Eats Healthy

Schmidt also talked about her diet with Women's Health. "I eat intuitively and listen to the signals my body gives me. With exercise, you develop a very strong body awareness over time. I make sure that I eat a balanced diet and reduce my meat consumption. I would never leave the house without snacks. I always have a few protein bars, electrolytes and sometimes Tupperware containers with carrot cake or banana bread in my bag. Preparation is really important here too!"

Schmidt shared what supplements she takes in her FoodSpring interview. "I regularly take Zinc & Magnesium and Daily Vitamins. They provide you with the most important vitamins without you having to think about it too much. This is particularly important because it is very important not to get sick, especially as an athlete. After strength training, I supply my body with proteins in the form of protein shakes. I use L-glutamine to improve my body's regeneration processes. Before hard sessions, I drink Energy Aminos, which supply my muscles with important BCAAs, among other things."
