Actress April Bowlby has made a name for herself with memorable roles in Two & A Half Men, Drop Dead Diva, and Doom Patrol. In July, she delighted her fans with a playful Instagram post featuring a chic pink top and bottoms, Mary Jane shoes, white socks, and a ball balanced on her face. “Parisian socks circa 1999,” she captioned the photo, highlighting her fun-loving personality. Off-screen, Bowlby is equally inspiring, embracing a healthy lifestyle filled with nutritious meals and mindful habits. Here’s a closer look at how she stays fit and fabulous.

1. She Loves Eggs

Bowlby shared one of her favorite healthy meals in an interview with SELF. She says that she loves making eggs for breakfast. "This is my breakfast: Two poached eggs, turkey bacon, and a half avocado. The yolks in a poached egg are alkalizing.” The American Heart Association states that eggs have a lot of benefits. “At just 78 calories each, eggs are an efficient, rich source of protein and vitamins. A large egg contains about 6 grams of protein. Eggs also are a good source of other nutrients, including vitamin D (which aids bone health and the immune system) and choline (which helps metabolism and liver function, as well as fetal brain development).”

2. She Loves Avocado

A,Picture,Of,Fresh,AvocadosShutterstock

Bowlby tells SELF that she loves avocado. “Avocados are a great source of fat and vitamin E; great for your skin. It's super light and not too heavy.” The Cleveland Clinic states that avocados have a lot more benefits. “Avocados are a good source of fiber, which is a type of carbohydrate that your body can’t break down. You need both soluble and insoluble fiber — and lucky for you, avocados have both.”

3. She Loves Yogurt

White,Greek,Yogurt,Texture.,Wave,Of,Yogurt,With,Blueberry.,IceShutterstock

Bowlby tells SELF that she also loves eating yogurt. “Sometimes I like a little sweet as well, so I have a cup of plain yogurt with blueberries. Aaaand the best part is you can make it into a clever little face to represent your morning mood." Yogurt has a lot of benefits. The Mayo Clinic states, “Yogurt is high in calcium, protein, selenium, B-12 and other nutrients. Many yogurts also contain probiotics — the beneficial bacteria that live in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Healthy bacteria in the gut are critical to digestion. Research also shows that these tiny microbes play an important role in regulating the immune system, the inflammatory response and many other bodily functions.”

4. She Loves Blueberries

As she mentioned in the previous blurb, Bowlby loves blueberries. The Cleveland Clinic states that this fruit has a lot of benefits. “A cup of blueberries provides the following recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals: Vitamin C: 24%. Vitamin K: 36%. Manganese: 25%. Dietary fiber: 14%. Vitamin C is known for boosting your immune system and fortifying other body functions, while vitamin K helps your blood clot properly. Manganese, meanwhile, can also help with blood clotting, while promoting bone and muscle strength.”

5. She Cooks

Bowlby likes to cook a lot of her meals, as you can see from her SELF interview. Harvard Health states that cooking has a lot of benefits. “We already know that the more people cook at home, the healthier their diet, the fewer calories they consume, and the less likely they are to be obese or develop type 2 diabetes. A growing body of scientific evidence supports teaching patients how to cook meals at home as an effective medical intervention for improving diet quality, weight loss, and diabetes prevention.”

Two and a Half Men star Aly Michalka is soaking up the October sunshine in Austin, Texas, spending time with her loved ones. Michalka, 34, shared some beautiful pictures of herself posing by the water in a swimsuit, looking relaxed and serene. “Barton Springs dip with the band on a day off,” she captioned the post. “The best day!!!!” commented a friend. Michalka and her sister Amy have been on TV since their Disney days—here’s how she lives her best life.

1. Family Pilates

Michalka loves to do Pilates with her sister Amy. “It’s great for strength, for core,” she says. “I love that there’s no way to bulk with Pilates. That’s impossible because you’re using your own body strength. It feels great on your joints. My body always feels so good afterwards. And warmed up. I don’t know. We’ve been doing it now for the past almost five years and we’re regular Pilates goers.”

2. World Tour

Michalka went on tour with her sister for their EP Sanctuary, which was high-intensity. “Our show is kind of a workout; it is very physical,” she says. “We are sweating and moving around on stage so that’s a form of an hour-and-a-half workout throughout the night. We’ll just shut down and it’s actually better almost for the course of the entire tour. We were always tempted to go out and hang with the band, see a movie, go bowling, do a million things. Sometimes, you might be in a city where there’s really fun stuff to do, but your body is telling you, you just need to sleep and rest.”

3. Makeup Style

Michalka and her sister prefer a more low key makeup look these days. “I think our motto is definitely ‘less is more’ now,” she says. “I don’t think it was when we started. I think it was definitely more of a trend to wear heavier makeup in the early 2000s, in general. I kind of love that being natural has become something that is now really embraced by so many women.”

4. Diet On the Road

Los,Angeles,-,Mar,09:,Aly,Michalka,Arrives,For,ëmulaníShutterstock

Michalka tries to make sensible food choices when she’s on the road. “We try to keep the greens up,” she says. “Trying to keep the greens in your diet, that’s been actually like the hardest struggle. It’s not always the easiest, but when we’re in a city and there’s the option to have a pizza, you’re like, ‘Well, maybe I won’t do that, and I’ll get something instead that’s actually going to nourish me.’”

5. Enough With the Eyebrows

Michalka has no intention of following eyebrow trends. “Oh my gosh, that weird eyebrow trend, [feather brows], where people are parting their brows in the middle is so crazy,” she says. “It’s absolutely insane. That and the overly defined eyebrow. People have become so obsessed with eyebrows, and I’m super against a heavy, defined eyebrow. I love when it looks natural and you can kind of see your hair follicles — not where it’s completely filled in.”

1. Alison Brie

Beverly,Hills,,Ca.,March,13,,2023:,Alison,Brie,At,TheShutterstock

To get in shape for GLOW, Alison Brie worked with trainer Jason Walsh. He shared what it was like working with the actress with SELF. “She was deadlifting I think over 165 pounds for reps. She could have been doing more but that’s the last number I can remember off the top of my head. She can crank out 11 full-body hanging pull-ups. She was doing over 300 pounds on hip thrusts, and hundreds of pounds on the sled. She would do push-ups with 50 pounds of chains on her back.”

2. Sofia Vergara

Sofia,Vergara,At,The,Los,Angeles,Premiere,Of,'once,UponShutterstock

Sofia Vergara’s trainer, Jennifer Yates, shared the actress’ fitness secrets with Marie Claire. "Typically, if we have a good filming schedule where she has availability, we'll work out between 5-7 days, which is a lot. But she takes a lot of time off when she's busy. It's fine to give yourself a break—your body comes back stronger. You have to let your body rest, even if you're working out a few days during the week. That's why we rotate with Sofia. We have days in between when she rests. If you exhaust the muscles, you're more prone to getting injured."

3. Jennifer Aniston

LOS ANGELES - JUN 10: Jennifer Aniston arrives for the Netflix 'Murder Mystery' Premiere on June 10, 2019 in Westwood, CAShutterstock

Jennifer Aniston opened up about how she improved her wellbeing to InStyle. “My level of anxiety has gone down by eliminating the unnecessary sort of fat in life that I had thought was necessary. Also realizing that you can't please everybody. And what good does that do if you're just little bits of yourself? Let's try to be the full all of who we are so we can come to the table. The way the media presents us folk in this business is like we're always trotting around the world, on beaches having fun. But there are a lot of other, less obvious things that go into it.”

4. Aubrey Plaza

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,February,18,,2023:,Aubrey,Plaza,At,TheShutterstock

Aubrey Plaza shared her skincare secrets in an interview with The Cut. “It’s pretty simple, especially now that Peet Rivko exists. It’s cleanser, moisturizer, oil. Done. If I feel like I’m super hormonal or I’m having breakouts — a lot of times, because I’m an actor, I have so much makeup on my face and people are putting makeup on my face all day, and sometimes it irritates my skin — I’ll have to throw in an acne product or something like that to help me out a bit.”

5. Kaley Cuoco

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,12:,Kaley,Cuoco,Arrives,For,HboísShutterstock

Kaley Cuoco works with trainer Ryan Sorensen to help her stay in shape. Sorensen talked about Cuoco’s workouts with Shape. "Her training regimen consisted of high-intensity circuit full-body training, like cardio, strength training, and lots of core twice a week. Hot yoga once a week, and a couple of days a week she would ride (cycling), which is a beast of a workout."

6. Courteney Cox

Los,Angeles,-,Jun,7:,Courteney,Cox,At,The,AmericanShutterstock

Courteney Cox shared some of her skincare secrets with GetTheGloss. “I don’t think I even thought about a moisturiser or washing my face until I was in my 30s. Now I have such a regimen especially with cleaning my skin - I use a hot towel to deep cleanse always. I would also say don’t over-pluck your eyebrows otherwise you may not have any left when you are older.”

7. Mindy Kaling

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,February,25,,2023:,Mindy,Kaling,At,TheShutterstock

Mindy Kaling shared some of her wellness secrets with TODAY. She says that walking is one of her favorite ways to stay in shape. “Sometimes I’ll be like, ‘Well, I have four different times today where I have 10 minutes so let’s just walk instead of sitting down and checking Instagram,'" she said. “So instead of it being like one chunk of exercise in the beginning of the day or none at all, I’m now just deciding that I’m going to be a more active person all the time.”

8. Ellie Kemper

Shutterstock

Ellie Kemper is all about finding time to relax. She tells Women’s Day that she likes to do this in the morning. "It usually involves just sipping coffee and breathing," she says. "Which sounds a little corny, but it is just breathing in, breathing out. It’s just having a moment of not reading anything, not going on my phone, letting my brain empty for a minute. That recharges me."

9. Cobie Smulders

Los,Angeles,,Ca,-,April,13,,2015:,Cobie,Smulders,AtShutterstock

Cobie Smulders likes to do Pilates to help her stay in shape. She told StyleCaster, “I’m a big Pilates girl. And I’ve recently gotten back into dance. There’s this type of dance called PlyoJam. I like to do any exercise that has really loud music. I was Spinning for a while, but I’ve gotten back into this dance class and Pilates.”

10. Julie Bowen

Los,Angeles,-,Nov,13:,Julie,Bowen,Arrives,For,Baby2babyShutterstock

Julie Bowen likes to go outside. Specifically, she likes to run. She tells Women’s Day, "I just want to feel good, and I want my brain to feel good, and that means going outside. You don't need any equipment. You don't need anything other than this desire to take care of yourself."

11. Amy Poehler

Amy,Poehler,At,The,Los,Angeles,Premiere,Of,'the,House'Shutterstock

In an interview with The Guardian, Amy Poehler opened up about her career. She says that vulnerability is something that helps her. “I think if you’re doing your job right, you should be feeling unsure and vulnerable because it means you’re pushing yourself to try new things. Doesn’t vulnerability find its way into everything? I’ll answer the opposite, which is I certainly don’t feel invulnerable in any way at all.”

12. Mary Louise Parker

Mary-louise,Parker,At,The,Los,Angeles,Premiere,Of,"savages",HeldShutterstock

Mary Louise Parker shared some of her skincare secrets with The Bare Magazine. “I think a hefty percentage of good skin is keeping it as clean as possible,” she says. “I once heard Stevie Nicks say that no matter what else happened at night, even if she was stumbling down drunk, she made sure to clean her face. I have, more than once, forcibly pushed a friend staying the night into the bathroom to clean their face. I remember being at the Hotel Costes with my friend Nikk,i and its 4 AM, and we just got in and suddenly I became the complexion police. Now my daughter is the same way, and she’s like me in that she loves makeup but doesn’t wear a lot of it. I like Nars and Kevyn Aucoin. The Clairsonic helps a lot. I also like that Nuface device. I just started using it and I think it works. I like Skinceuticals products and Retrouve. Sunscreen I wear when it rains. I wear it every day. My mom never went in the sun. She and my sister are completely natural and to me, the most beautiful women on earth, along with my daughter of course!”

13. Jenna Fischer

Shutterstock

Jenna Fischer tells Good Housekeeping that she’s a big fan of yoga. "When I do yoga regularly, I feel so good," says Fischer. "It's my mind, body, and spirit cleanse. After a long weekend of play dates and sporting events and kid birthday parties, I can't tell you how much I crave my Monday morning yoga class.”

14. Mayim Bialik

Mayim,Bialik,At,The,Entertainment,Weekly,Pre-sag,Party,,Chateau,Marmont,Shutterstock

Mayim Bialik opened up about her struggles with body image and an eating disorder on her podcast. "I'm trying to release the pressure of being 15 pounds lighter, which is what I, quote, 'should be,' by Hollywood standards," Bialik said. "I'm trying to release the pressure of caring that I'm wearing the clothes that make me look like those other women, even though I'm not those other women."

15. Melissa Rauch

Shutterstock

In addition to being an actress, Melissa Rauch is also a chef, and has her own cookbook on healthy eating. She shared some of her favorite healthy foods in an interview with Parade. “Lots of whole grains, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Something that’s not in the book that I make a ton is stir-fries with tofu. That’s also quick and easy. It's tofu-based, but not necessarily tofu. Have you heard of Shirataki noodles? House Foods also makes them. They’re so great and kids think that they are eating spaghetti. It’s also got protein and is healthy for them. I love that.”

16. Terry Crews

Terry,Crews,Attends,26th,Annual,Movieguide,Awards,At,Universal,Hilton,Shutterstock

Terry Crews revealed his typical diet in an interview with Men’s Health. “When I wake up, the first thing I do is have a glass of water...and I put amino acid powder inside—I like to call it stardust. I drink that all morning and afternoon. And, then I’m off to the races.”

17. Rob Lowe

Rob,Lowe,Attends,The,Paley,Center,For,Media's,2019,PaleyfestShutterstock

Rob Lowe is open about his use of the Atkins program to help him eat healthy. "This is the way I've been eating anyway for 20 years,” he told E! Online. “Even before I started my relationship with Atkins. I've been eating the Atkins way anyway because we know that watching your carbs and watching your sugar is how most people should be eating."

18. Neil Patrick Harris

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,25:,Neil,Patrick,Harris,At,TheShutterstock

Neil Patrick Harris likes to use the Tonal home gym to help him stay fit. He explained why to AskMen.com. "It's essentially a big flatscreen TV turned on its side, it has two arms that can adjust to different lengths and heights, and then it uses electromagnetism to increase and decrease the weight. It's very challenging yet very intuitive.”

19. John Krasinski

Hollywood,,Ca.,-,May,3:,John,Krasinski,Arrives,At,TheShutterstock

To prep for his role in 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, John Krasinski made sure to get in shape. He shared the process in an interview with Men’s Health. "I gotta be honest: It was brutal at times. We did tons of metabolic work, dragging sleds and all this stuff I've seen NFL players do."

20. Joel McHale

Los,Angeles,-,Jun,2:,Joel,Mchale,At,The,4thShutterstock

Joel McHale uses the 4-Hour Body Diet to help him eat healthy. He explained this in an interview with Men’s Journal. “It's a slow carb diet, so you can eat things like beans and lentils—which are carbohydrates, but they’re not the same as wheat or potatoes—and all the protein and vegetables you can. There’s also a Slow Carb App. The theory is your body goes into, not a starvation mode, but ‘Oh, we’re not getting a bunch of sugar any more,’ so we’re going to treat it accordingly. Then, once a week, you go nuts. You have a huge cheat day and that shocks your body into going ‘Oh, we’re gonna keep the metabolism going fast because this is how you eat, and we’ve gotta get all this stuff out of here.’ Then when you go right back to the slow carbs, your body is still keeping your metabolism going fast.”

I loved making people laugh from the time that I was very little. I did pursue opportunities in theater when I was in school and when I was pretty young. There was community theatre to do. I would always jump on and do that. I was in an after school theater company that did musical theater for children. Those were my high school years, I would go from school to rehearsal and we’d put shows on at the weekend. Then I went off to the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco the summer that I turned 17. I had an incredible teacher there, Anna Deavere Smith, who is an extraordinary actress and playwright and it was such a gift to me that I landed in her classroom at such a young age.”

9. Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields was one of many guest stars in the season 2 episode, “The One After The Superbowl.” She played Erika, a fan of Joey’s who thinks he is actually his Days of Our Lives character. In an interview with InStyle, Shields revealed that she got into meditation during the pandemic, and talked about the impact it's had on her. “I'd never focused on the spiritual element of exercise or the idea of honoring your body and soul. Those were just words before; they didn't feel realistic. Working out has never been Zen for me. None of the exercising I've done in the past has stemmed from me loving it, or from it giving me any peace of mind. When I was younger, it was all ego-based: If you want to be in this campaign, you have to stay fit. If you want to be in this Broadway show, you have to be this fit; you have to dance this much every day. Everything was a goal.”

10. Elle MacPherson

Melbourne,,Australia,-,November,3:,Elle,Macpherson,Arrives,At,DerbyShutterstock

Model Elle MacPherson had a recurring role as Janine, Joey’s new roommate and love interest. She shared some of her diet secrets in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I have three meals a day and two snacks, mid-morning and afternoon. I have a bit to eat with my son at 6:30am after my drinks. I might have a poached egg sometimes, or half an avocado or some muesli that I make in the dehydrator with nuts and seeds and a little bit of coconut and cinnamon, and I’ll mix that with some fresh hemp or almond milk that I make myself.”

11. Christine Taylor

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,February,18,,2023:,Ben,Stiller,And,Christine TaylorShutterstock

Christine Taylor played Ross’ girlfriend, Bonnie, at the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4. She shared how she and her husband, fellow actor Ben Stiller, are getting their kids to eat healthy with Organic Spa Magazine. “Learning by example is one of my goals for them,” she says. “Part of the goal for Ben and I is that the kids see healthy food in our house, the shift has started to happen, and that shift will happen for them, eventually, by themselves. You get a little older and wiser, and it’s nice to connect the dots.”

12. Matt LeBlanc

Beverly,Hills,-,Aug,16:,Matt,Leblanc,Arrives,To,TheShutterstock

Matt LeBlanc played Joey Tribbiani on both Friends and his spinoff Joey. He also played a fictional version of himself on Episodes. LeBlanc opened up about his role on Episodes to IndieWire. “People would ask me, ‘Are you worried people will think that’s what you’re really like?’ And, well, if I do my job right, then hopefully people will think that’s what I’m really like. That’s what an actor’s job is: to make people believe. So I got past that early on because the writing was good, and I didn’t mind being the butt of the joke because the joke was good.”

13. David Schwimmer

Los,Angeles,-,Oct,6:,David,Schwimmer,At,The,RapeShutterstock

David Schwimmer played Ross Geller on Friends. He talked about how he handled fame on the Awards Chatter podcast. "As an actor, the way I was trained, my job was to observe life and to observe other people, so I used to walk around with my head up, really engaged and watching people," he said. "The effect of celebrity was the absolute opposite: It made me want to hide under a baseball cap and not be seen. And I realized after a while that I was no longer watching people; I was trying to hide. So I was trying to figure out: How do I be an actor in this new world, in this new situation? How do I do my job? That was tricky."

14. Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry played the sarcastic Chandler Bing on Friends. Recently, he has been open about his struggles with addiction, even writing a book on it. In the book, he encouraged other people who are struggling to hang in there. “For all of the sufferers out there. You know who you are. It’s still a day-to-day process of getting better. Every day. It doesn’t end because I did this.”

15. Hank Azaria

Hank Azaria played Phoebe’s scientist boyfriend, David on the show. In an interview with Esquire, the actor opened up about his struggles with an eating disorder. “I actually had some anorexia issues as a teenager—body image and weight issues—and got much too skinny by the time I was like 14, 15. It's something I'll always struggle with. I have an obsessive, addictive mind. I don't take for granted being physically fit and healthy. The same way I needed to construct my acting ability, I needed to construct a healthy body. And I'm unwilling to let it go in my old age. Going for a run and working out is like meditation for me. At the end of aerobic exercise, you can't be bummed. It's not possible.”

16. Paul Rudd

London,,United,Kingdom,-,February,16,,2023:,Paul,Rudd,AttendsShutterstock

One of Paul Rudd’s many roles was as Mike Hannagan, Phoebe’s eventual husband on Friends. He shared how he stays in shape to play Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Las Vegas Review Journal. “You can talk about diet and the gym, but the truth is one of the best ways to get in shape and feel great is to pay attention to your sleep,” he says. “I know a lot of people who get to a certain age and only sleep four or five hours a night. They even get up at 5 in the morning to train. If there is a way to get eight hours of sleep in your life then you will feel so much better.”

17. Bonnie Somerville

Los,Angeles,-,Aug,08:,Bonnie,Somerville,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

In addition to her role as Mona on Friends, Bonnie Somerville also starred on Code Black. She shared what it’s like working on the set to Parade. "We rehearse all the time. We come in on our days off and practice. We rehearse before takes. That's pretty challenging because it's not only about the lines and the emotional state and the acting, then it's about the technical stuff. Also the speed of our show is so fast that you need to get it right."

18. Julia Roberts

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,January,06,,2019:,Julia,Roberts,At,TheShutterstock

Julia Roberts guest-starred as Susie Moss, where she played a love interest for her real-life boyfriend at the time, Matthew Perry. Roberts shared her wellness secrets with The Independent. "Accomplishment, clarity, energy, strength, joy... These are all things I give myself through working out, and I can feel it in everything I do.”

19. Freddie Prinze Jr.

Freddie Prinze Jr. had a memorable guest appearance as Ross and Rachel’s male nanny. He is passionate about helping the environment and talked about this to GreenMatters. “I think being more conscious of the impact that certain foods have on the environment, and being able to incorporate those meatless meals into our clean eating habits is definitely a step we’ve made in the right direction.”

20. Christina Applegate

Santa,Monica,,Usa.,January,12,,2020:,Christina,Applegate,At,TheShutterstock

Christina Applegate played Rachel’s sister Amy on Friends. She has MS, and opened up about how she is taking care of herself to Vanity Fair. “I actually don’t want to be around a lot of people because I’m immunocompromised,” she said. “I have my friend who lives here during the week and she helps me take care of Sadie. And then on the weekend I have a caretaker. I also don’t want a lot of stimulation of the nervous system because it can be a little bit too much for me. I like to keep it as quiet and as mellow as possible.”

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
