Joanna Jedrzejczyk, a former UFC icon and Muay Thai champion, is renowned for her unmatched skills and dedication to fitness. With five gold medals in Muay Thai World Championships and a historic reign as UFC strawweight champion, Jedrzejczyk remains a fitness inspiration even in retirement. Recently, she shared a snapshot of her "last day in Las Vegas" on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into her active lifestyle. Whether she’s hiking in breathtaking locations, hitting the gym, or maintaining her strength with focused workouts, Jedrzejczyk’s commitment to staying in shape reflects the discipline that made her a champion.

She Hikes

Jedrzejczyk likes to go hiking to keep herself in shape. She shared this highlight reel on Instagram of herself enjoying a hiking trip in Zion. Jedrzejczyk captioned the post,“Breathtaking Zion National Park checked off of my bucket list ✅Would you visit the Narrows at Zion?” Harvard Health says that hiking has a lot of benefits. “A number of small studies hint that spending time in green space — nature preserves, woodlands, and even urban parks — may ease people's stress levels. Giving the growing consensus that stress contributes to high blood pressure and heart disease risk, anything you can do to mitigate stress is likely helpful. In that realm, the benefits of hiking remain anecdotal, but outdoor enthusiasts tend to agree.”

She Lifts Weights

Jedrzejczyk shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is strength train. Jedrzejczyk shared this video of herself doing a bunch of exercises with weights. ACE Fitness states that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Does Squats

Jedrzejczyk posted this video on Instagram of herself in the gym. One exercise she is seen doing in it is squats. She captioned it, “The form is but for now for the cake (as my brother-in-law @krzysiekostry says)😉 the most important thing is to start and then everything will go according to its course 🏋🏻 ♀️retirement , two surgeries and looking for excuses. NO MORE 🙅🏻 ♀️ One Day or Day One?! You decide!🙋🏻 ♀️”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that Jedrzejczyk is seen doing in the previous Instagram video is lunges. The Mayo Clinic states that lunges have a lot of health benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Uses A Stationary Bike

Jedrzejczyk is also seen using a stationary bike in the previous Instagram video. Penn State PRO Wellness reports that this has a lot of health benefits. “Working out at a high intensity helps to burn calories and build strength, which, in turn, can lead to fat loss. A 2010 study (Trusted Source) found that indoor cycling, combined with a low-calorie diet, was effective in reducing body weight and body fat in the study’s participants. It was also effective in lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The participants cycled for 45 minutes three times per week, and they consumed 1,200 calories per day for 12 weeks.”
