1. Do Strength Training
Una does “lots of weights and I try to keep the cardio going alongside strength and conditioning," she revealed during an interview with RTE. "I walk away in my mind feeling healthier and better. It's so good for the endorphins."
2. Exercise Daily

"I try to do something every day. I've really gotten into fitness in the last year. I hate starting the day without exercise now, but I will give myself a Sunday off sometimes,” she told RTE. "I do a lot of road running, usually around 5K.”
3. Take Exercise Classes

Healy's gym visits involve a lot of different types of cardio. "I do gym classes too, like Body Pump, Body Combat and Spin. There's virtual Spin at my gym which is really fun!" she told RTE.
4. Stay Motivated

"You have to keep going really. You can easily get lazy but I find the more you do it, the more you want to do it," she told RTE about the importance of motivation. "I know how happy it makes me feel when I work out so I'd rather have that feeling all day."
5. Indulge Your Sweet Tooth

"I never used to have so much of a sweet tooth, I was always one to say that I don't like chocolate, but now that I've been exercising so much I'll give myself a little treat like a biscuit or a chocolate bar every other day," she confessed to RTE.
6. Eat a Mostly Plant-Based Diet

While not a vegan or a vegetarian, Una doesn't eat a lot of meat in her diet. "I'm a bit of a 'meat and two veg' kind of person, so I'm not on any kind of vegan or vegetarian diet. I still eat meat – but not too much of it," she told RTE. "I'll have days where I eat vegan or veggie."
7. Swim

Una also likes to make a splash. “Earlier this year, I took up cold water swimming. I swim either at the coast or in lakes and have got the bug for it! The first time I did it, I thought, ‘what am I doing? This is horrible. It’s so cold.’ Whereas now it just feels invigorating. When you’re immersed in cold water, your body goes into fight or flight mode and is flooded with cortisol, followed by endorphins,” she told Top Sante.
8. Don’t Let Getting Older Scare You

Una is embracing the aging process. “Turning 40 is not as scary as I thought it would be. Anyone who complains about a birthday should realise how lucky they are to be celebrating another year on this planet, something that so many are deprived of,” she told Top Sante. “I feel like I’m in a really good place in my life – better than I did 10 years ago. I feel happy, content and much more in control and conscious of my fitness and health. The older I get, the more I’ve learned to look after myself. I want to keep myself in the best shape that I can.”
