Vanessa Bauer started her career as a teen competing in figure skating championships. Since 2018, she has been a professional on the reality series, Dancing On Ice. Bauer won her first season, and is also a four-time runner up. Bauer also posts a lot of travel content on her Instagram. 1. She Does Crunches
Bauer has amazing abs, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shares a bunch of her favorite ab workouts on Instagram and YouTube, and she is a fan of doing different kinds of crunches. Bauer posted this video on Instagram of herself doing core exercises.. In it, she is seen doing tangled leg crunches, straight leg crunches, and starfish crunches.
2. She Eats Healthy
In her Instagram post, Bauer revealed her approach to eating for healthy abs. She says that staying hydrated and eating healthy is important to her. “People ask me what I do to get such defined abs. 🤷🏽♀️ Firstly, abs are made in the kitchen. You can work out 6 hours a day like crazy and still don’t see the definition. 🤦🏽♀️ That happens when you’re not eating right or you don’t drink enough water.!”
3. She Rollerskates
Bauer likes to skate on and off the ice, as she likes to rollerskate. Bauer opened up about why she picked this up in an interview with The Telegraph. “I am not usually a very emotional person, but at the start of lockdown I was crying a lot. Ice rinks everywhere had closed and I usually skate every single day because I am so passionate about it. I headed home to Berlin and I was very depressed for at least the first two weeks or so of the lockdown. But then I got sent my new roller boots that mimic ice-skating even off the ice. They feel so much like ice skating. It was such a cool side hobby to learn during this lockdown.”
4. She Makes Time For Herself
Bauer has a busy schedule, but she is making time for herself. One thing she likes to do is go on solo vacations. Bauer shared this video on Instagram from one of her trips. She captioned it, “It’s exactly why those trips away are so crucial to me. To get clear about what I want, to see my goals from a distance and get perspective on where my current choices are leading me to. Rather than staying away for months at a time (which I used to do to “find myself”) I already know that I have (for now anyway!) I’m so grateful I’ve been able to pursue exactly what I wanted since starting DOI and making sure I’m always on the right track. Depending on what my focus of the year was 📈 I know this isn’t possible for everyone so I feel blessed in many ways I’ve worked hard to get to a stage that allows me to do so and I’ll never stop.”
5. She Swims
Bauer spends a lot of time at the beach. She naturally likes to swim as a way to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself wading in the ocean. Bauer captioned the post, “Recharging, working on myself, making moves with a coconut a day.” Bauer also posted this video of herself going for a dip in the pool.
