Vicky Pattison is living it up in Jamaica – in her swimsuit. The 35-year-old Geordie Shore star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit in one of her latest vacation photos, taken at Sandals in Montego Bay. “Get me in the sun,” she captioned the Instagram Story image. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Vicky Pattison stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Tried WW

London,,United,Kingdom,-,October,01,,2018:,Screenshot,Of,TheShutterstock

Vicky has struggled with her weight over the years. “I was recently told that my previous lifestyle was not actually healthy for me and was shocked to learn it was having an impact on my fertility. For me, joining WW is not just about being a certain size, but it’s about being healthy and giving my body a fighting chance so I can hopefully have kids one day,” she told Hello about her decision to sign up.

2. She Found “Balance”

Vicky recently opened up about her body image struggles over the years, sharing photos of herself at every size. "I used to be cruel to the girl in the first photo... I let her eat what she wanted but I constantly berated her."Called her names and made her feel worthless. Just because of a number on a scale,” she wrote. "I was cruel to the girl in the second photo aswell but in an entirely different way. I would count how many blueberries I put on my porridge, restrict my calories and weaponise exercise. That girl was a nervous wreck." She explained that no matter the size she was left "unhappy," and struggled with "anxiety" and "disordered eating" during these periods. She explained that she finally found balance, and is in a much better place now. "Life is for living and happiness for me is found in balance- in making sure I walk the dogs but also in having some Doritos! In [sic] doing the Pilates class but also in having the glass of wine..."

3. Here Is What She Eats in a Day

The Sun's "Who Cares Wins" Awards 2022Karwai Tang/WireImage

Vicky detailed her diet to Daily Star Online:

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with button mushrooms, spinach, avocado and sometimes a bit go feta or chorizo. Green smoothie or green tea.

Lunch: Protein shake or protein bar or a big superfoods salad, with chicken, sweet potato, goji berries, pine nuts. “Really swing your dick about with this. Salads should be exciting and colourful. Otherwise I’ll have a wrap or a chunky soup,” she said.

Afternoon snack: Tea.

Dinner: A “good portion of protein” like chicken or salmon. Sweet potatoes or butternut squash, brown rice or cous cous and loads of green vegetables. “Loads of green tea and water throughout the day and occasionally I’ll enjoy a good gin and tonic or a glass of white wine,” she added. “And by occasionally I mean in large amounts at the weekend.”

4. She Does Zero Gravity Pilates

Celebrity Sightings In London - April 06, 2023Ricky Vigil M / Justin E Palmer/GC Images

Vicky’s go-to workout is zero gravity pilates. “After being on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, I really looked at the way I trained. All of the things I'd been doing beforehand were weightlifting and more of the functional stuff. For a while, I wasn't really able to do that because I was quite badly injured,” she explained to Closer. “I looked at alternative ways that were less intense on the joints and when I found zero gravity pilates, I completely fell in love with it. You look at the people who do it, like Chloe Lewis, Rochelle Humes and Lisa Snowdon, and their bodies are just lean and long and lush. So, yeah, I'm definitely on that hype at the moment.”

5. She Drinks Juice

Vicky PattisonVicky Pattison/Instagram

“I love waking up in the morning and having a juice, it's a great way to start off your day,” she said about how she gets all her nutrients in. “I feel like I've managed to get loads of fruits and veggies into my diet in a very small space of time. I'm all for protein shakes and juices. Plus, if you whack spinach into a protein shake, you don't really feel like you're drinking it. I'm all for sneaking fruits and veggies into my body any way that I can."

Vicky Pattison, star of Geordie Shore, Ex on the Beach and Judge Geordie, has never not been outspoken. Sharing pictures of her weight loss today, she doesn’t disappoint, using them as chance to stick up for women everywhere, and show the reality of what losing pounds looks like. How does she stay so fit and so strong, and what was her message? Read on to see 5 ways Vicky Pattison stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. This is How She Lost the Weight

“So I've recently lost abit of weight- it's not quite the overnight miracle everyone on social media seems to think it is- it's been happening gradually over the last year through an amalgamation of things & much to everyone's disappointment I'm sure- there's no great big secret to how I did it. I got my contraceptive out my arm after 15years which had a huge impact on my body & also I got the worlds most energetic Pup- who we love DEARLY but needs to be walked between 2-3 hours daily 😂 So there you have it, I'm sorry I can't flog you a transformative pill or workout but you're all lush as you are anyway so please stop being so hard on yourselves ♥️,” she captioned the photos.

2. She is an Advocate for Women

ITV Palooza 2019 - Red Carpet ArrivalsKarwai Tang/WireImage

“Although most people have been really kind about my new bod- there have been quite a lot of nasty comments with people even going as far to say they only liked me before when I was, in their words, an advocate for curvy women,” she wrote. “Listen, I am an advocate for WOMEN full stop. Whatever your shape, whatever your size- & the only reason I started doing my 'Instas versus reality' in the 1st place was to show everyone that we are all capable of taking a good picture for the gram- & we shouldn't be comparing our beautiful bodies to anyone else's- especially not someone else's carefully curated Social media ones.”

3. She Says There’s a Difference Between Posed vs. More Relaxed

National Television Awards 2020 - VIP ArrivalsDave Benett/Getty Images

“If I want to stretch up, put my hands behind my head & suck my tummy in- The end result is going to be this first pic. However if I relax, allow gravity to do its thing & stop trying so hard.. my body moves (Spoiler alert, all bodies move & I quite like my squishy tummy- it's where my pizza lives 😂) the end result is more like this second one,” she explained of the photos. “These posts were only ever meant to encourage all of us to stop beating ourselves up or comparing our bodies to the super posed & unrealistic ones on social. It's ok to want posed pics or more relaxed ones- to let it all hang out or want to go balls to the wall.”

4. She Says It’s Not OK to Tear Women Down

Sex & the City Apartment Pop-Up LaunchMike Marsland/Getty Images

“The only thing that isn't ok is telling another woman how YOU think she should look. Instead of tearing other women down, we should be building each other up... We're all beautiful in our own unique way & trust me, we're all capable of getting a sick pic for Insta 😂” she concluded.

5. She Sets Goals, and You Can, Too

Vicky Pattison attends the launch of Puttshack, Bank inPhil Lewis/Getty Images

“I write out my goals for the week as well as how I plan to achieve them,” Pattison has said. “Eating healthier sounds like a good idea. But what does it really mean? Aim for specific goals instead, such as eliminating soda, eating five servings of vegetables a day or limiting your daily sugar intake to 30 grams of added sugar,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Losing 10 pounds a week sounds great. But it's an impossible goal that likely will leave you discouraged — and more likely to give up on your efforts. Choosing realistic goals that you can meet will reinforce your efforts and keep you moving forward. Losing one pound per week is a realistic and sustainable goal.”

British TV star Vicky Pattison cannot wait for the cold weather to arrive, but she still loves her swimsuits. Pattison, 35, posted a photo of herself wearing a bandana and brown bikini, part of a series of pictures celebrating September. “September... You were amazing 😍🥹Beyond grateful for the amazing experiences, lessons and special moments that I shared with my beautiful loved ones.. Just feel really lucky I suppose 🥹😍I can't wait to see what October brings... I'd really like it to be cozy nights in front of the tv, Milo snuggles, shepherds pie, mavie cuddles, laughs with my friends, date nights with erc and work that set my soul on fire... 🔥,” she captioned the post. 1. She Has a Life Coach

Rylan Book LaunchMike Marsland/Getty Images

Pattison employs the services of a life coach, something she highly recommends. “I've got a life coach, if you're in a position to get someone like that, I really would advise it,” she tells Closer UK. “He's transformed my life and he helps me to make sense of everything. Talking through your day and the things you're going through with someone who's neutral on the situation really helps.”

2. She Walks Everyday

London Celebrity Sightings - June 16, 2022Ricky Vigil M/GC Images

Pattison tries to get her exercise out in the fresh air whenever possible. “My life coach always tells me to get out into nature with the trees and to get some fresh air,” she says. “I never really put much weight on it until I got my dog, Milo, and just getting out for an hour every day taking him on his walk makes me feel much happier, healthier and more balanced. I advocate fresh air for everybody.” The experts agree: Working out outside brings a unique set of benefits. “Light tends to elevate people's mood, and unless you live in a glass house or are using a light box to treat seasonal affective disorder, there's usually more light available outside than in,” says Harvard Health. “Physical activity has been shown to relax and cheer people up, so if being outside replaces inactive pursuits with active ones, it might also mean more smiles and laughter.”

3. She Loves Spinach Smoothies

Spinach,SmoothieShutterstock

Pattison is a big fan of healthy, delicious smoothies, especially with spinach. “Spinach has long been regarded as a plant which can restore energy, increase vitality and improve the quality of the blood,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “There are good reasons for this, such as the fact that spinach is rich in iron. This mineral plays a central role in the function of red blood cells which help transport oxygen around the body, supports energy production and DNA synthesis. However, high levels of a compound called oxalic acid, naturally found in spinach, appears to inhibit the absorption of minerals like iron; that said, lightly cooking or wilting appears to minimize these effects.”

4. She Is In Tune With Her Body

Pattison tends to eat less on days she doesn’t work out. "I know a lot of people advocate carb cycling but for me I keep things quite simple - on days I don't train I just eat slightly fewer calories,” she says. “It's not something I do proactively, but it's more just a case of when I'm not training I'm just not as hungry. However, this is entirely subjective and I always try and listen to what my body wants."

5. She Avoids Sugar

Pattison believes in having a balanced diet—but she avoids foods that make her feel bad. "I try not to exclude any major food groups as a way to guarantee that I want something is to say I can't have it,” she says. “Saying that, I do avoid refined sugars and simple carbs like white bread as there's just no need for them and they make me feel rubbish and lethargic. The only exemption to this is alcohol - and I'll never give that up entirely. Life is for living!”

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
