Vicky Pattison is living it up in Jamaica – in her swimsuit. The 35-year-old Geordie Shore star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit in one of her latest vacation photos, taken at Sandals in Montego Bay. "Get me in the sun," she captioned the Instagram Story image. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Vicky Pattison stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She Tried WW
Vicky has struggled with her weight over the years. "I was recently told that my previous lifestyle was not actually healthy for me and was shocked to learn it was having an impact on my fertility. For me, joining WW is not just about being a certain size, but it's about being healthy and giving my body a fighting chance so I can hopefully have kids one day," she told Hello about her decision to sign up.
She Found "Balance"
Vicky recently opened up about her body image struggles over the years, sharing photos of herself at every size. "I used to be cruel to the girl in the first photo… I let her eat what she wanted but I constantly berated her."Called her names and made her feel worthless. Just because of a number on a scale," she wrote. "I was cruel to the girl in the second photo aswell but in an entirely different way. I would count how many blueberries I put on my porridge, restrict my calories and weaponise exercise. That girl was a nervous wreck." She explained that no matter the size she was left "unhappy," and struggled with "anxiety" and "disordered eating" during these periods. She explained that she finally found balance, and is in a much better place now. "Life is for living and happiness for me is found in balance- in making sure I walk the dogs but also in having some Doritos! In [sic] doing the Pilates class but also in having the glass of wine…"
Here Is What She Eats in a Day
Vicky detailed her diet to Daily Star Online:
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with button mushrooms, spinach, avocado and sometimes a bit go feta or chorizo. Green smoothie or green tea.
Lunch: Protein shake or protein bar or a big superfoods salad, with chicken, sweet potato, goji berries, pine nuts. "Really swing your dick about with this. Salads should be exciting and colourful. Otherwise I'll have a wrap or a chunky soup," she said.
Afternoon snack: Tea.
Dinner: A "good portion of protein" like chicken or salmon. Sweet potatoes or butternut squash, brown rice or cous cous and loads of green vegetables. "Loads of green tea and water throughout the day and occasionally I'll enjoy a good gin and tonic or a glass of white wine," she added. "And by occasionally I mean in large amounts at the weekend."
She Does Zero Gravity Pilates
Vicky's go-to workout is zero gravity pilates. "After being on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, I really looked at the way I trained. All of the things I'd been doing beforehand were weightlifting and more of the functional stuff. For a while, I wasn't really able to do that because I was quite badly injured," she explained to Closer. "I looked at alternative ways that were less intense on the joints and when I found zero gravity pilates, I completely fell in love with it. You look at the people who do it, like Chloe Lewis, Rochelle Humes and Lisa Snowdon, and their bodies are just lean and long and lush. So, yeah, I'm definitely on that hype at the moment."
She Drinks Juice
"I love waking up in the morning and having a juice, it's a great way to start off your day," she said about how she gets all her nutrients in. "I feel like I've managed to get loads of fruits and veggies into my diet in a very small space of time. I'm all for protein shakes and juices. Plus, if you whack spinach into a protein shake, you don't really feel like you're drinking it. I'm all for sneaking fruits and veggies into my body any way that I can."
