Turkish volleyball star Zehra Güneş captivates fans both on and off the court with her athletic prowess and dedication. A key player for Turkey’s national team, Güneş competed in the 2020 Olympics and continues to inspire with her strength and skill. In October, she shared a set of action shots on Instagram from a recent game, captioned, “Midfield players who forced Libero out and defended 🙂 Liber️🤪.” Beyond volleyball, Güneş focuses on staying healthy with a balanced diet. She loves nutrient-rich foods like eggs, pineapple, and granola, each packed with essential vitamins and proteins. Güneş also finds inspiration through reading, sharing that each book gives her “a message about that moment,” driving her dreams and goals.

1. She Plays Volleyball

Playing volleyball is the main way Güneş stays in shape. USA Volleyball states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Participating in any sport has benefits, but volleyball offers the opportunity for lessons that few other sports can. The volleyball community is a place where everyone is welcome and you can find a lifetime of play and competition. Volleyball brings families together to play and learn and offers the opportunity to create lifelong friendships and bonds. From character-building skills such as leadership, teamwork, respect and communication to the physical benefits of staying healthy and active, here are some of the things you can expect to gain by playing volleyball.”

2. She Knows What She Wants

Güneş opened up about her desires in the caption of this Instagram post. “I believe that every book has a story. They are like a friend in every journey of mine. And every book that I read gives me a message about that moment. It was a short interval where I understood this once again, taught myself something, felt the nature more and returned to myself, drew energy from other lands and was refreshed, realized that there are many things I want to do more and created new dreams. 🌴🌞💚I am very excited to continue with new dreams and new goals from where we left soon🖤 💛”

3. She Loves Eggs

Güneş makes sure to eat healthy. In a photo in this Instagram post, she is seen eating eggs. The American Heart Association states that eggs have a lot of benefits. “At just 78 calories each, eggs are an efficient, rich source of protein and vitamins. A large egg contains about 6 grams of protein. Eggs also are a good source of other nutrients, including vitamin D (which aids bone health and the immune system) and choline (which helps metabolism and liver function, as well as fetal brain development).”

4. She Loves Pineapple

Güneş is also seen eating pineapple in the same photo in the previous Instagram post. The Cleveland Clinic states that pineapple has a lot of benefits. “Pineapple gives you a healthy dose of several B vitamins, including thiamin, niacin, B6 and folate. These nutrients help your body process energy from the food you eat. They’re also critical to forming new red blood cells, which carry oxygen to your organs and tissues.”

5. She Loves Granola

Güneş is also seen eating granola in the same photo in the Instagram post. Originz states that granola has a lot of benefits. “The nutritional value of granola varies depending on the ingredients used, but it is generally a nutrient-dense diet with a decent balance of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. A normal serving of granola has a combination of complex carbohydrates from oats, which provide continuous energy throughout the day, and protein and healthy fats from nuts and seeds, which help you feel full and content. Granola's fibre content also enhances digestive health and aids in weight maintenance by keeping you full for extended periods of time.”
