Zhang Weili in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Confidence Comes From Action"

The MMA athlete shows off her strong body.

Zhang Weili is on the run in her workout gear. In a new social media post the MMA athlete shows off her strong body in a two-piece exercise set while running outside with a group of people. “Confidence comes from action,” she captioned the Instagram video. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Early to Rise and Exercise

Zhang wakes up early. “I get up at six in the morning, before having my breakfast at seven. Then I go outside for fitness training at eight. Around nine o’clock, I arrive at the training site, where I start practicing for the next two hours. I train for three and a half hours before noon,” she told CGTN Sports Scene, per Essentially Sports.

Martial Arts

Zhang’s main form of fitness is martial arts. She trains for Jiu-Jitsu in the afternoon, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Around 5 pm she pivots to wrestling. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function and psychological health in addition to weight loss and physical fitness.

Pilates

Zhang also does pilates workouts in the evening to stretch her muscles deep inside her body. According to research, Pilates exercises are designed to increase muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, and to improve posture and balance. Experts maintain that it is a great workout for leaning out.

Stretching

Zhang understands the importance of stretching. “Start all over again. Change yourself little by little. Make a little progress every day,” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Running

Weili is a runner — on the treadmill like in this video – and also outdoors. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Jessica Arevalo is a bodybuilder and fitness influencer. She shares a lot of workout videos on her Instagram. In December, she shared an upper body workout on her page. In it, she is seen using dumbbells, landmines, and strength training machines. Arevalo captioned the post, “RENT IS DUE EVERYDAY!😤I don’t know who needs to hear this but GET UP! GET GOING! WE DON’T GET TIME BACK! DO YOUR BEST TODAY HOWEVER THAT MAY LOOK! I BELIEVE IN YA’LL!💪🏼” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jessica Arevalo stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She’s Consistent

As you can see from the caption of her post, Arevalo is consistent with working out. The Mayo Clinic recommends this. “Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help you keep off lost weight. When you take part in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. Regular trips to the gym are great, but don't worry if you can't find a large chunk of time to exercise every day. Any amount of activity is better than none. To gain the benefits of exercise, just get more active throughout your day. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator or rev up your household chores. Consistency is key.”

2. She Strength Trains

Arevalo likes to strength train. She shared this video of herself doing a lot of strength training exercises on Instagram. In it, Arevalo does machine chest presses, military shoulder presses, and bicep curls, among other exercises. She captioned the post, “You have to understand that the journey in life will never get easier, we only get stronger. You make a choice to man up and move forward or make excuses and go backwards. It’s up to you!”

3. She Works Her Upper Body

Arevalo shares a lot of upper body workouts on Instagram, including this video. She captioned the post, “FULL UPPER BODY WORKOUT POWERED BY| @essinutrition. OUTFIT DETAILS| @jessicaarevalocollection. NOW TAKING NEW CLIENTS START YOUR JOURNEY WITH ME TODAY! LINK IN BIO TO SIGN UP!💪🏼 Full upper body workout!👇🏼 Incline Chest Press. Neutral Grip Pulldowns. Landmine Press. Close Grip Seated Row. Lateral Raise Machine. EZ Bar Curls. Skull Crushers. Every exercise I do 4 sets (including 1 warm up set) 8-10 reps & 60 second rests in between! If you try this workout let me know how you like it!”

4. She’s Motivated

Arevalo shares what motivates her with Simply Shredded. “Growing up, I had nothing and experienced a lot of hardships and learned at a young age to work hard in whatever I did. I couldn’t give up because I didn’t have anything to fall back on. My motivation comes from how far I have come; I have overcome depression, alcohol addiction, anxiety, panic attacks and every kind of abuse you can think of. The fact that I fought my way out of the impossible lets me know that anything is possible. Now that I can inspire women all over the world is very motivating for me.”

5. She Does Lunges

Arevalo likes to do lunges to stay in shape. She talked about this with Simply Shredded. “I love lunges because they are the best for keeping those glutes in shape!” ACE Fitness states that lunges have a lot of benefits. “Lunges work the biggest muscles in your lower body — mainly the quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and the adductor magnus (the muscle in your inner thigh). Other muscles that come into play are the hamstrings, gluteus medius, calves, and core stabilizers, says Susane Pata, content strategist for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and NASM-certified personal trainer based in Miami.”

She works on her strength, focusing on weightlifting. “Another weightlifting session in @hankuktkd This time we were able to see in action@adrianasandia_ @luanamartonkiss @vivianamartonkissand@_laurdguezz in a training focused on speed of execution. 4. She puts in the work

She really brings it during her workouts and training, putting in the necessary work. On a video of her training, she said “Let's go!!!🔥 focused on the next objectives🔝😤🤪,” on Instagram (translated). According to the Mayo Clinic, “your body fat percentage will increase over time if you don't do anything to replace the lean muscle you lose over time. Strength training can help you preserve and enhance your muscle mass at any age.”

5. She eats healthy

In this video on Instagram, Luana shows that she makes healthy choices involving plenty of greens, protein, and healthy carbs throughout her daily routine, in between her training and workouts. When it comes to the benefits of healthy eating, the CDC shares some of the positive outcomes. “Among the benefits are stronger bones, enhanced immunity, and lower risk of some diseases.”

Kairi Sane captioned her gym photo series, “#workout 🔥” as she hits it hard in the gym. The Japanese professional wrestler and actress has made her name known for her performances in the WWE. As a professional wrestler, working out is obviously a huge part of her life, and her career. What exactly does she do to stay so fit and healthy, maintaining her level as a fierce competitor and a member of Damage CTRL? Here are some of Kairi’s go to habits.

1. She fights through the nerves

She works through those nervous feelings and pushes herself. “Yes, I was nervous,” she said while talking to Muscle & Fitness Hers about her MYC win, the NXT Championship match, leaving Japan to pursue the WWE, and more, specifically referring to the finals against Shayna Baszler. “I would say half nervous, half excited. But I would also say many of the athletes I encountered were also very strong. At the end, I was proud of myself to be one of the finalists, and then I had to believe in myself, and I did my best,” she said.

2. She’s confident

She’s confident in her decisions with the WWE. “It’s been about six years since I started this, and more recently I had an opportunity to go overseas,” she said. “I observed that even with the language barriers, people, the audience, they are happy to watch me perform and then they cry for me sometimes. That made me feel, “Well going overseas is great!” I actually enjoy it very much. Also, WWE is an organization that has a lot of athletes I respect. I had been always watching WWE tournaments when I lived in Japan.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, “self-image change occurs over a lifetime. A healthy self-image starts with learning to accept and love ourselves.”

3. She has a past with sailing

She has done other activities in the past to stay fit, including sailing. “When I was a university student, I won a sailing competition and participated in the World Championships as a representative of Japan. That's why I was given the nickname "Pirate Princess."⛵️The photo shows the sea in Bulgaria,” she said on Instagram, captioned on a blurry photo of her sailing.

4. She does burpees

She shares workouts on Instagram of her doing strength training, conditioning, and plenty of burpees. According to the Cleveland Clinic, “burpees are brutally efficient as a workout tool, meshing cardio and strength training into an extremely high-intensity package. In seven simple movements, the exercise works your body from top to bottom.”

5. She trains and trusts the coaches

She trusts her team and that their decisions and guidance will lead to her improving. “I went to the WWE performance center to train there, and there’s the ring training and the gym training separately,” she said. “The coaches there are wonderful. I respect them so much and I completely trust them. They even give advice on what I eat and my diet, so I believe that the training I’m getting here is even better than what I was getting in Japan.”

Ivanka Trump is breaking a sweat – in her exercise gear. In a new social media post the former First Daughter shows off her long, strong, and lean body in a two-piece workout set. She also discusses her workout routine, revealing that she recently made some major changes to it. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are all the details about her workout and how she has altered her routine. “Hi Everyone! I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my workout routine since I reposted a video with my trainer, so I thought I’d share a bit about my fitness journey,” she writes.

1. From Cardio, Yoga, and Pilates to Weightlifting and Resistance Training

“Like many women, I used to focus primarily on cardio, yoga, and Pilates. Since moving to Miami, I have shifted my focus to weightlifting and resistance training, and it has been transformative in helping me build muscle and shift my body composition in ways I hadn’t imagined,” she says.

2. Here Are the “Cornerstone” Exercises of Her Workout

I believe in a strength training approach built on foundational, time-tested and simple movements—Squats, Deadlifts, Hinges, Pushes, and Pulls. These are the cornerstones of my workout, emphasizing functional strength for life.

3. She Prioritizes Form, Then Adds Weight

“Prioritizing form is essential; only then do I add weight. This ensures a safe and steady progression while maintaining the integrity of each movement. I incorporate mobility work within my sessions to enhance range of motion,” she continues.

4. She Also Amped Up Her Protein Intake

High,Protein,Lettering,On,A,Pink,Plate.,Nutritional,Concept.Shutterstock

“Weightlifting has enhanced not just my strength but my overall athleticism and resilience. I now dedicate 3-4 days/ week to strength training—2 sessions solo and 2 with either @sandybrockmanfitness or @coach_hm. Also new for me but critical to my progress has been increasing my protein intake dramatically. I now consume between 30-50 grams of protein a meal. It works… I’ve never been stronger!” she says.

5. She Still Does Yoga and Other Activities

“I still enjoy a weekly yoga session and love spending time outdoors with my kids and friends playing sports—whether it’s surfing, padel tennis, swimming in the ocean, wake surfing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, hiking, walking or golf. I also incorporate a couple of short (10 min), high-intensity interval training sessions (such as sprints) each week to keep my cardiovascular fitness sharp and dynamic,” Ivanka continues.

6. Her “Balanced Approach” Has “Yielded Great Results”

“This balanced approach has infused new energy into my fitness routine and yielded great results. That’s said, this is all highly personal in that what works is what you will actually do consistently. Thank you for your interest and questions ~ I hope this was helpful,” she concludes in her post.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
