Nia Sioux is a multi-talented performer and advocate, best known for her rise to fame on the popular reality show Dance Moms. Her charm and talent captured the hearts of viewers, and she has continued to inspire her fans as she transitions into adulthood. Recently, Nia shared a video on Instagram showcasing her stunning new manicure, captioning it, “New nails! What do we think? I think they’re my favorite set yet💅🏽😍” But there's more to Nia than just beauty—she's also dedicated to staying fit and healthy. Curious about how she maintains her enviable physique? Here are 5 ways Nia Sioux stays in shape, complete with photos that show just how effective her routines are.

1. She Dances

Sioux continued her dance career into her college years. According to Better Health, dance has a lot of benefits. “Dancing can be a way to stay fit for people of all ages, shapes and sizes. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits including: improved condition of your heart and lungs, increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness, increased aerobic fitness, improved muscle tone and strength.”

2. She Speaks Out

Sioux isn’t afraid to raise her voice about causes that are important to her. In February, she met with Vice-President and Democrat nominee, Kamala Harris, to discuss reproductive rights. Sioux shared this post on Instagram of her experience. She captioned it, “Last week I had the honor of attending a roundtable discussion with VP Harris about the fight for Reproductive Rights. It’s hard to believe that my generation has to fight for our reproductive rights in this day and age when our mothers and grandmothers had that right protected. Reproductive freedom should not be political, it’s healthcare. Women should be trusted to make their own decisions about their own bodies. Abortion bans are doing more harm than good and women around this country aren’t getting the services they need to sometimes survive. Our votes are so powerful. Let’s use our power to vote for candidates who will support and protect our reproductive rights!”

3. She Promotes Mental Health

Sioux also promotes taking care of your mental health. She recently made a documentary about this with Seize The Awkward. Sioux shared this video on Instagram of her experience, captioning it, “Such an honor making my directorial debut working with @seizetheawkward on their ‘Capture the Convo’ campaign. I am beyond grateful to share these much needed conversations centered around mental health. Shoutout to my phenomenal female crew and my amazing friends for making this a success. I can’t wait for you all to watch these episodes.”

4. She Hikes

Sioux spends a lot of time outside. One thing she likes to do is go for hikes. Sioux shared these photos on Instagram of herself hiking in Western Cape, South Africa. She captioned the post, “Me 🤝 nature. Hiking at the Featherbed Nature Reserve has been one of the highlights of my trip to South Africa.”

5. She Goes To The Beach

Sioux likes to go to the beach. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself at a beach in Bora Bora. Back In Action states that going to the beach has a lot of benefits. “There are reasons why people pay money to order videos, CDs, and apps that let you enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Hearing the calming crash of the waves and the breeze moving across the water promotes feelings of peace. While at the beach, you hear consistent sounds that create a type of white noise. Even the sound of seagulls flying overhead can be quite therapeutic. This helps you to relax your thoughts while you experience a close bond with nature.”
