Kira Kosarin is going rock climbing in her workout gear. In a new social media post The Thundermans star shows off her incredibly fit figure during an active day in nature. “Turns out the birthplace of american rock climbing is, in fact, a fun place to climb 🧗‍♀️✌️,” she captioned the Instagram post. Another she captioned "Hot REI Girl Summer." How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.


1. Strength Training

Kira hits the gym for strength training sessions. “Operation summer is a go!!! 🫡☀️ (soaking up as much goodness as possible here at home before we move to Vancouver in two months to start filming the new show :’))” she captioned a post that included a gym pic. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

2. Snorkeling

Kira enjoys snorkeling when she is on vacation. “So grateful to have gotten to witness this beautiful little beast today. we gotta keep our oceans and reefs clean and safe so these gorgeous, complex underwater worlds can continue to exist,” she captioned an underwater snap.

3. Yoga

Yoga is part of Kira’s “daily routine,” she revealed in a post. “When I’m not making music, I’m doing yoga, and this week I’m doing both in the sand 🥰✨,” she wrote. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

4. Hiking

In addition to rock climbing, you can find Kira hiking. “Hot rei girl summer 🧗‍♀️,” she captioned a post. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

5. Pilates

In one post, Kira revealed that is a fan of Pilates, adding that she “loves that workouts relieve so much stress.” Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Lee suggests lying down with face, palms, and toes facing down. “Keeping your legs and back straight, extend your arms straight to push the body up and then lower it back down again.” The next exercise on the circuit is 15 overhead tricep extensions. Hold a dumbbell in both hands with feet shoulder width apart. “Slowly use both hands to lift the dumbbell over your head until both arms are fully extended,” she instructs. 1. She Swims

“One of the most significant advantages of swimming is its ability to provide a low-impact, high-reward workout. Unlike many other forms of exercise, swimming is gentle on the joints, making it an ideal activity for people of all ages and fitness levels,” says YMCA of Greater Whittier. “Swimming is a powerful cardiovascular exercise. It enhances heart health by improving circulation, lowering blood pressure, and increasing lung capacity. Regular swimming sessions can lead to better heart health and a reduced risk of heart-related diseases. The rhythmic nature of swimming also promotes better breathing techniques, which is beneficial for those with respiratory issues.”

2. She Skateboards

“Skateboarding is an excellent form of cardio that can help lower your risk of heart disease. While running might burn more calories per hour, skateboarding is a lower-impact activity, which can be less stressful on your joints,” says Beyond the Board. “Skateboarding can be a great way to burn calories and manage weight. Combined with a healthy diet and other physical activities, regular skateboarding can help you achieve your weight loss goals”

3. She Walks

“The faster, farther and more frequently you walk, the greater the benefits. For example, you may start out as an average walker, and then work your way up to walking faster and walking a mile in a shorter amount of time than an average walker, similar to power walkers. This can be a great way to get aerobic activity, improve your heart health and increase your endurance while burning calories,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Gets Some Sun

“Sunlight is a powerful antidote for depression. In winter, many people suffer from seasonal affective disorder, a type of depression made worse by short, dark winter days. Recommended cures? Sunlight or phototherapy (exposure to light that mimics the sun). When I’m working with patients suffering from depression, I often recommend spending some time outdoors as part of their treatment plan,” says MCHC Health Centers.

5. These are Her Goals as an Artist

“Learning how to be a better storyteller, how to really create an escape. I'm already thinking about the next album. With each one, I want it to bring people into a world, an complete escape. I want it to feel magical. I want to improve my voice and tour again when that's allowed. I finally felt I got my footing and was ready to go. In 2019, I took a little break but then this all happened! So if my next tour happens in 2021, it will be 3 years since I last toured! I also want to be more comfortable with who I am and be more open, I definitely struggle with that. I get self-conscious, so I am working really hard to be comfortable in my own skin and not being afraid to say how I feel,” she told Flaunt.

Hannah-Kim loved all the martial arts training for her role in Cobra Kai. “I have so much respect for martial arts,” she told EUPHORIA. Magazine. “The technique and body conditioning it takes to participate in any martial art is extremely demanding and requires so much discipline. We do karate and taekwondo on set, but I learned a tiny bit of wushu on the side and LOVED that.”

Hannah-Kim is a huge fan of Netflix smash hit Squid Game and says she would love to be part of it. “I would compete in a real-life Squid Game for the chance to die in the series,” she told Deadline. “God, I don’t think I’ve ever been so stressed watching a show. It was brilliant. Just brilliant. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Director Hwang Dong-hyuk cooks up for season 2.”

3. Learning Stunts

Hannah-Kim loves learning how to do stunts on set. “We have a stunt gym on set where our amazing stunt coordinators Don Lee, Ken Barefield, and Tony Chung train us for our action sequences,” she told EUPHORIA. Magazine. “It’s truly my favorite place to hang out on set, and I’m always just so eager to learn as much as possible and improve my skills. I’m really flexible so I have to work on control and strength so I can be precise on camera.”

4. First Female Sensei

Hannah-Kim is proud to be the first female sensei in the Karate Kid universe. “To be honest, I didn’t stop to think about what the wider significance of being the first female sensei was until after I had wrapped,” she told Deadline. “It’s an immense honor and I thought a lot about young girls who might be inspired by Kim’s fierceness or even just young Asian girls simply seeing their faces in mine.”

5. Years Of Work To Be An Overnight Success

Hannah-Kim emphasizes how much work goes into trying to make it as an actor. “Being an ‘overnight success’ is such a charming concept and so wholly untrue in my case. I have endless respect and solidarity with actors who are out there self-taping and auditioning into what feels like oblivion because I have been in those trenches for years,” she told Deadline. “The rejection is painful and personal in a way that’s difficult to explain to someone with a conventional desk job. With acting, it’s your whole being on the line— your voice, your face, your essence, your body… so it really hurts to digest a ‘no’. You have to be vulnerable enough to try and then resilient in defeat .…it’s so masochistic and then of course, when you’re hired you feel like you’re flying.”

According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. She Lifts Weights

Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”
