Nicole Scherzinger is dancing – with weights! In a new social media post the Pussycat Dolls singer flaunts her amazing body in exercise clothes while showing off her dance moves during a seriously intense sweat session. “Feelin 💅🏽 but what was I thinking adding weights to a dance 😅🫠,” she captioned the post. “Y’all got to try this !!” she added in the comments. At one point, she even breaks into the splits! How can you get in shape like the singer? Here are her best diet, fitness, and lifestyle tips.

1. Burn Fat by Intermittent Fasting

“I’m not on the grind as much with my workouts, so I’m intermittent fasting,” Nicole tells Women’s Health about her fat-bruning hack. Intermittent fasting works by “prolonging the period when your body has burned through the calories consumed during your last meal and begins burning fat,” explains Johns Hopkins Medicine. However, she still enjoys breakfast foods for lunch. “I love eggs and gluten-free bread with a side of smoked salmon or some ham.” Sometimes she will add a side of sliced cherry tomatoes or avocado. “They’re just my favorite,” she says. Salads are another go-to.

2. Drink Tea

Tea, which may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease according to studies, is on Nicole’s daily menu. “I wake up and have a cup of tea, usually [VAHDAM’s] Mint Melody Green Tea or their Turmeric Spiced Herbal Tea, and then I usually won’t eat until the afternoon,” she says.

3. Snack Healthy

Nicole keeps her body fueled with healthy snacks like raw almonds, cherry tomatoes, snap peas. Himalayan salt popcorn, and dark chocolate with sea salt or almonds. “If I have some frozen fruit laying around, I’ll make an oat milk smoothie,” she says. “Sometimes I’ll put turmeric powder in it, which is delicious and anti-inflammatory.” She also loves salt and vinegar flavored potato chips and Cheetos. It's “real Cheetos or the fire hot ones,” she says.

4. Do High Intensity Workouts

Nicole prefers intense workouts. “I like to switch it up and try new things, but, most recently, I’ve just been pretty consistent with more HIIT workouts,” she told Women’s Health. She likes to do circuits which involve HIIT exercises, running on the treadmill, HIIT exercises again, and then more cardio. “I feel like I get more results that way,” she explained. She works out three to six times per week.

5. Mix in Cycling, Climbing, Boxing, and Dance Cardio

Nicole keeps her body shocked with different types of exercise. “I love doing everything from SoulCycle spinning and climbing to boxing and dance cardio,” she added to Women’s Health. “It’s really good to always keep your body guessing and to always switch it up.” She also balances out hardcore workouts with long walks. “You can’t grind all the time, you need that balance,” she said.

They can help to diagnose cardiac issues like heart disease and artery blockages. Under normal circumstances, your body may not exhibit symptoms of these heart conditions. However, when put under pressure through a workout, those symptoms will be displayed.”

1. She Werks

"I don’t dance…I WERK,” Nicole captioned an infamous Instagram video of her working out in a bathing suit. She was doing cardio and resistance training. “Healthy adults should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous activity. That doesn't have to be all at one time, though. For example, brisk walking for 30 minutes, five days a week meets the guidelines. Aerobic exercise can even be done in short blocks of time, such as several walk breaks spread throughout the day. Any activity is better than none at all,” reports the Mayo Clinic.

2. Nicole Uses Dumbbells

“A set of dumbbells and a willingness to use them can work wonders,” says Robert Freed, D.O., an orthopedic surgeon at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minnesota, tells the Mayo Clinic. “If you’re willing (and able) to get pumped up, try these basic, but effective, moves for beginners.

  • Bent over row
  • Biceps curl
  • Calf raise
  • Chest press
  • Reverse fly
  • Squat
  • Triceps extension”

3. She Eats Healthy—Most of the Time

Everything in moderation," she said to Women's Health UK. "For breakfast I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch I like maybe some soup or some sushi. For dinner, anything from pasta to rice, and meats and veggies, to sushi. When I'm going to indulge, I love pasta, pizza, I love Mexican with lots of cheese. Pick a few different movements and create a circuit workout by completing as many reps of that one movement as possible in one minute. Then rest for a minute and continue on to the next movement and do the same thing. Repeat this for 15 to 20 minutes,” reports the Cleveland Clinic.

5. She Runs

Imagine exploring some faraway locale, all from the comfort of your living room. Try imagining yourself in this location post-COVID!”

6. She Enjoys Dancing

If you enjoy Zumba, you're also more likely to do it regularly and experience its benefits as an aerobic exercise,” says the Mayo Clinic.

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
