Nikki Bella in Workout Gear Shows Off Exercise Routine
Nikki Bella is revealing a few of the ways she has upped her workout game – in her exercise clothes. In a new social media post the Total Bellas star shows off her amazing body in a two-piece workout outfit, flaunting her flat abs. "Had a Hella Good week," she wrote in the caption, revealing her current routine. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
She Upped Her Water Intake
Nikki also revealed that she has made hydration more of a priority. "I up my water intake this week why you see my Brumate with me every second," she wrote. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
Sauna
"Lastly, really focusing on doing the sauna thing more seriously. The more I research the more I realize how important it is for our health longevity. So sign me up for that!" she added. Should you take a dry sauna? While some claim the health benefits of saunas are plentiful, including detoxification, increased metabolism, weight loss, increased blood circulation, pain reduction, antiaging, skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular function, improved immune function, improved sleep, stress management, and relaxation, there isn't a lot of research backing up the claims.
Lots of Workouts
Nikki mixes up her workouts. She does yoga and Pilates, she told Us. "I also love power-walking," she adds. "It's about having a healthy lifestyle." Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Biohacking
Nikki is "really big on biohacking — cold plunging and infrared sauna baths," she told Us. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.
Healthy Diet
"I don't drink soda; I don't eat fried food unless it's french fries every now and then," Nikki told Us. "I make sure to get protein and veggies in." In another interview with the magazine she revealed that she doesn't eat red meat. "And if I want carbs, I usually have them in the morning." She might have the occasional drink, but makes sacrifices for it. "If I want to have a glass of wine at night, then I know there is no dessert. We stay active, so drinking a lot of water and making those modifications and staying active is what keeps us in shape," she told Muscle & Fitness.
She Is Doing More Pure Barre
"This past week I added in more Pure Barre sessions," Nikki reveals in the post. "As I'm getting stronger the definition isn't happening as quickly as it use to so nothing like Pure Barre to really help get that tone on! Also yes I was that girl that forgot her shoes at the gym 🙈 Wasn't going to sacrifice a workout so made it work in my faux fur sandals… I mean lol," she wrote.
