She Meditates

"I've been able to meditate more and take a time-out before allowing anybody else to affect my energy. Before I talk to anybody, before I look at a text, before I go on Instagram, I center myself in my room and pray and do breathing exercises and create my own space so that I have a foundation to walk on throughout the rest of the day."

She Aims To Workout Multiple Times A Week

In an interview with Vogue, Normani talked about how she balances both working out and her rehearsal time. She says that she aims to workout three times a week. "I told myself, 'I'm gonna work out every single day. And then I'm going to go to rehearsal.' That didn't end up happening because my body was sore after rehearsal, therefore, I couldn't wake up the next morning and work out. But I would try to work out maybe three times a week, which is good for me."

She Manages Her Acne

Normani has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared some of her secrets with Vogue. Normani says that she struggles with acne, and uses products like the iS Clinical cleanser to help. "I really do have combination skin, but have struggled with acne for the last 10 years and it really has been a journey. Between using these medical-grade products that you can get over the counter; I also use Tazorac that my dermatologist put me on and it's a game-changer."

She Loves Yoga

Normani revealed to Women's Health that she has started practicing yoga more. "I'm working out, but I'm also becoming more in tune with my body. Having more awareness about what's going on pushes me to be in the now and to breathe, which is something I desperately needed because I'm always thinking ahead or dwelling on something that could've been better."

She Hikes

Normani tells Women's Health that she likes to go hiking to stay in shape. She even did it during the pandemic. "Doing it with a mask is hard. But [I'm] making it happen. I need to prioritize being more connected to nature. I'm motivated by making sure I'm always working toward something."
