The gymnast wore a blue swimsuit on Instagram.

Suni Lee made her debut in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit this year. To celebrate the 4th of July, the magazine shared some of their models wearing red, white, and blue swimsuits on Instagram. They included a photo of Suni wearing a light blue one-piece, looking amazing. SI Swim captioned the post, “Serving red, white, and bold in all the right ways.” How did Suni Lee get ready for her photoshoot? Read on to learn 5 of her secrets.

1

She Goes To Therapy

In addition to taking care of her physical health, Suni has to take care of her mental health to be successful in gymnastics. She shared her secrets with Byrdie. “I go to therapy, and I will visualize journal a lot to let out all of my feelings. It can be harder to talk to people, because not a lot of people understand all of the things that we go through as athletes.”

2

She Loves Face Masks

Suni shared some of her skincare secrets with Byrdie. She says that she loves using face masks. “I’ve been super into my skincare routine right now, and I’ve been loving Korean skincare. I love doing face masks—they are good for your skin and keep it healthy. I always have to make sure to do a mask.”

3

She Double Cleanses

Suni tells WhoWhatWear that one of her skincare secrets is double cleansing. “I’ve actually gone with a ‘less is more’ approach lately. I typically do a double cleanse—first with [the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm] and then [SkinMedica’s AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser] followed by a few serums [vitamin C serum during the day and The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum at night] and a good moisturizer to lock it all in.”

4

She Takes Care Of Her Hair

Suni has amazing locks, and she’s making sure to take care of them. “I’m definitely on my hair health journey right now,” she told WhoWhatWear. “I colored my hair a lot in the last couple years and have been making a huge effort to prioritize getting it strong and healthy again. I really love doing a good hair mask, not washing my hair as often, and trying to lessen my use of heat tools. I think using the cool-shot feature on my Dyson Airwrap has really helped maintain the health of my hair while styling.”

5

She Loves Granola Bars

On days when she’s training, Suni loves eating granola bars for breakfast. She tells POPSugar that Clif bars are a favorite of herse. “I always keep a couple in my car or in my backpack, because I bring my backpack to the gym. And if I ever need something to refuel me, I will always just have a bite or two, and then I’m all better. The reason I love Clif bars [is] because they’re so lightweight — they don’t fill me up like that.”
