Simone Biles is one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. She has competed in the 2016 and 2021 Olympics. She will compete in Paris this summer. Biles recently shared a set of photos on Instagram with her fellow Team USA gymnasts. They all wore their team uniforms. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Simone Biles stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Eats Healthy

Biles shared some of her wellness secrets with Bustle. She says that she is sure to eat healthy. “I put a lot of focus on fueling my body, so I eat a lot of boiled eggs, toast, granola bars, and fruit throughout the day. For lunch, I’ll eat more proteins, like chicken or salmon. And then the same for dinner, but I’ll add grains, rice, potatoes, veggies — stuff like that. I make a good lemon pepper salmon with rice and veggies. And if I make salad, I have to have feta on top.”

2. She Does Conditioning

Biles tells Bustle that she does a lot of conditioning to keep herself in shape, especially when she’s training. “I’m in the gym for six to seven hours a day. We just came off the World Championships, so I’ve been training for that. On a typical day, I’ll do lots of conditioning to get ready for competitions. My workouts are all based on gymnastics conditioning, so it’s a little bit different from a typical gym routine. We’ll do bodyweight exercises, rope climbing, casts, and other exercises that mimic the moves used in gymnastics.”

3. She Does Pilates

When Biles isn’t gymnastic training, her workouts change. She tells Bustle that she and her husband likes to do Pilates in this time. “I’ve tried Pilates about three times with my husband because he swears by it, but he also has a little bit more time to do it in the off-season than I do. We did intense Pilates, which was very difficult, but I did enjoy it.”

4. She Recovers

Biles makes sure to recover from gymnastics. She shared her process with Bustle. “My husband and I got a cold tub for our backyard. I haven’t done a cold plunge yet, but once he gets back to Houston, we’re going to get it set up. I also get a lot of bodywork done, like massages, acupuncture needles, KT Tape — all that good stuff. And I like to soak in a hot tub.”

5. She Uses A Facial Essence

Woman,Applying,Hydrating,Facial,Serum,With,Dropper,While,Smiling,AgainstShutterstock

Biles shared some of her favorite skincare products with People. In it, she revealed that she uses a facial essence from Pitera. "This Pitera essence is seriously like a miracle water for my skin: it hydrates, moisturizes, evens out my skin tone and leaves my skin glowing. I love that it's super powerful, yet really lightweight. When I heard the legendary story – that it was discovered in a Sake brewery in Japan where all the elderly brewers had soft hands with no wrinkles – I knew I needed to try it, and now I love it."

Simone Biles is modeling workout gear. In a new social media post, the gymnast shows off her amazing body while modeling her favorite Athleta pieces. She shared the Instagram video during her luxurious getaway to Hawaii with husband Jonathan Owens. How does the athlete maintain her amazing body? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits, including her approach to mental and physical health.

1. Mental Health

Los,Angeles,-,Nov,15:,Simone,Biles,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

“I’ve always been in therapy [and] I’ve always been an advocate for medicine,” Biles told Vanity Fair. “If you need an inhaler, take it. If you have anxiety, take it. I’m no stranger to medicine.” Years ago Biles was prescribed Lexapro for anxiety, and she continues to take the medication today.

2. Protein-Packed Meals

San,Jose,,Ca,-,December,14,,2019:,Special,K,RedShutterstock

Simone fills her plate with lean protein and lots of fiber. For breakfast she has Kellogg's Red Berries or egg whites. Lunch, “is either chicken or fish so I get the protein,” she told Women’s Health. Next up, a “quick snack” before another workout. “Pre-workout I love drinking Core Power; it's a recovery drink. And then a banana and peanut butter because bananas have potassium, which helps with muscle cramps.” “And then,” for dinner, “I like having a good fish, like salmon, and rice and carrots.”

3. Cross Training Workouts

Female,Swimmer,At,The,Swimming,Pool.underwater,Photo.Shutterstock

“We swam twice a week—almost a mile! I swore I was going to drown, it was so hard, and then we would run. And the year before that we would bike 10 miles outside once a week. If we didn't bike, we would run a mile before practice, and as soon as we finished the mile we'd have to go inside and do a beam routine. My legs were absolute jello. But it got easier because the cross-training helped. This year we haven't done [cross-training] because we're just calming it down,” she told Women’s Health about what her exercise session consists of.

4. Strength Training

Simone also spends hours in the gym daily. “I like doing legs because those exercises come pretty easily to me. I have good, powerful legs, so I can do conditioning and they won't be too sore. But stomach conditioning, I don't like it at all! It's my least favorite. I like laughing better for an ab workout than actually doing abs!” she told Women’s Health.

5. Stretching

Simone understands the importance of stretching. “We have a routine that includes running and then a stretch for every part of our body. So we'll stretch before practice, but especially afterwards, because then you're tense and you need to stretch those muscles down. It's very important to keep your body flexible so that you don't get injured,” she told Women’s Health. “My favorite stretch is splits because not a lot of people can do them. And over-splits is when you put your leg up on a mat so it's higher—and it just looks cooler!” “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Fitness influencer Whitney Simmons is sharing her go-to back and biceps workout with fans and social media followers. Simmons, 31, shared pictures and video of herself wearing leggings and a sports bra, using dumbbells and a cable crossover machine. “🔥LETS PULL IT 🥵 back + biceps coming at you straight from @thealiveapp 💦” she captioned the post. “Yesss, let's get it, girl! This workout lineup is fire 🔥,” commented Alexia Clark. Here’s how the trainer stays fit and focused.

1. Weight Training

Simmons says weight training changed her life—but beginners need a plan. “When I started going to the gym, it was such an intimidating place to be, especially for a beginner," she told Life & Style. “Go into the gym with a plan, and start with something that’s dumbbells only… and take those dumbbells to a place in the gym where you feel more comfortable, and you can start weight training at home as well. Buying a pair of dumbbells and doing a dumbbell-only workout at home or in a safe spot in the gym, whether that’s a classroom or just a corner, is an amazing way to get into it and is less intimidating.”

2. Mental and Physical Happiness

Simmons is proud of her success, which is the result of years of hard work and sacrifice. “I have been sincerely shocked by the impact that I have made on women across the world,” she told Forbes. “We’ve built this amazing community that is full of inspiration chasing after the same goal of finding physical and mental happiness.”

3. Living With Psoriasis

Simmons has psoriasis, which she no longer tries to cover up. “The more severe it got, the more I wanted to cover it,” she told Women’s Health. “I have so many women in my DMs who say, ‘I used to cover every inch of my body at the gym, and now I just don’t care. I am going to wear the shorts.’”

4. Gymshark Line

Simmons has a line with Gymshark, inspired by her own approach to style. “My favorite thing to do is just pop on leggings with a pair of white sneakers,” she told Life & Style. “I love my white sneakers, it’s an unhealthy obsession. I love investing in staple pieces that I can have in my closet for several seasons because they don’t ever go out of style. So I wanted to create a range that was going to be a lot of staples, always going to be something that you can go to for several years to come.”

5. Back and Biceps Workout

Here is that back and biceps workout from Simmons in full:

1️⃣ 3x10 single arm bent over row

2️⃣ 3x8 incline bicep curls

3️⃣ 3x10 cable straight arm pulldown

superset 4️⃣ 10 cable hammer curls

5️⃣ 3x10 lat pulldown

1. She Has Learned to Put Herself First

Biles memorably put her mind/body connection before her work, bowing out of certain competitions to focus on her mental health. “I feel like I learned the most about myself during Tokyo,” Biles told USA TODAY Sports. “How courageous, how brave I am. Because I always like to fake bravery. But I really think that solidified me being brave, speaking up for myself and just putting myself first.” She added: “A lot of things that I would have never experienced or believed in as much … if that experience didn't happen.”

2. She Does Not Track Her Eating

When it comes to dieting or calorie counting: "I do not track anything," she tells Women's Health. "I eat what I feel good with and try not to overeat or stuff myself because I'm always at the gym." She added: "For gymnasts, in particular, [tracking] can lead to health problems and eating issues, so I just eat what I know I can and should."

3. She Eats Oatmeal

"I wake up so early before practice, which is at seven, so sometimes I'll grab a quick bite and sometimes I won't," she told Women’s Health. If she does, she’ll sometimes grab an oatmeal. “Oatmeal contains soluble fiber, which reduces your low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the ‘bad’ cholesterol. Soluble fiber is also found in such foods as kidney beans, Brussels sprouts, apples and pears,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Soluble fiber can reduce the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. Five to 10 grams or more of soluble fiber a day decreases your LDL cholesterol. One serving of a breakfast cereal with oatmeal or oat bran provides 3 to 4 grams of fiber. If you add fruit, such as a banana or berries, you'll get even more fiber.”

4. She’s Often at the Gym

“Regular exercise can help you control your weight, reduce your risk of heart disease and certain cancers, and strengthen your bones and muscles. But if you haven't exercised for some time and you have health concerns, you may want to talk to your doctor before starting a new fitness routine,” says the Mayo Clinic. “When you're designing your personal fitness program, consider your fitness goals. Think about your fitness likes and dislikes, and note your personal barriers to fitness. Then consider practical strategies for keeping your fitness program on track.”

5. She Does Endurance Training

“Endurance exercise is one of the four types of exercise along with strength, balance and flexibility,” says the American Heart Association. “They don’t all need to be done every day, but variety helps keep the body fit and healthy, and makes exercise interesting.…Also called aerobic exercise, endurance exercise includes activities that increase your breathing and heart rate such as walking, jogging, swimming, biking and jumping rope.”

Tiana Musarra.3Tiana Musarra/Instagram

Gymless reports that this exercise has a lot of benefits. “Hip thrusts are a controlled and powerful movement, mainly focusing on the glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and core. This exercise is vital for developing a stronger posterior chain, contributing to improved athletic performance, alleviating lower back pain, and enhancing overall physique. In the previous Instagram video, the first thing Musarra is seen doing is using a stair climber. A workout on a stair climber is engaging all the major muscle groups in the glutes, thighs and hamstrings which need a lot of energy to perform. They strengthen the core because you need to keep upright as you perform the exercise. Using stair climbers regularly can cut your risk of death from heart disease. A study showed that when 12 sedentary women were asked to climb a 200-step staircase, progressing from once a day to six times a day, over 2 months they reduced their cholesterol levels and increased their fitness and so cut their risk of heart disease by 33%.”

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
