Peta Murgatroyd In Workout Gear Says, "Dancing Makes You Happier"

Peta Murgatroyd is a two-time champion of Dancing With The Stars and dance teacher. She's also married to fellow DWTS pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, so naturally the couple love to dance together. They recently shared a video of themselves dancing in their home on Instagram. Peta captioned the post, "‼️REMINDER‼️ Dancing makes you happier 😝" How does she stay so fit? She Dances

Dancing is obviously one of the main ways Peta keeps herself in shape. She and Maks share a lot of dance videos on social media. Peta captioned this video, "We survived the family flu fest—now back to our regularly scheduled dancing!" The couple also posted this video of themselves doing a twist on their traditional Latin ballroom dancing. Peta captioned it, "A little Wednesday Wiggle 💃🏼🕺🏻Have an amazing day everyone ✌🏻"

She Cooks For Her Family

After having her first child, Peta became a lot more conscious about what her family was eating. She decided to start cooking healthy meals for them. "I have fallen in love with cooking for my little family," Peta told People. "I used to loathe it, because I never had to do it and therefore never had the passion for it. Now that I'm a mother and I am concerned with what my child is eating, I am more inclined to cook at home, to ensure I know exactly what's going in his mouth."

She Does Cardio

Peta has to keep herself in shape, since she's not only a Dancing With The Stars pro, but she also does a lot of touring. She tells People that she does a lot of cardio exercises to maintain her endurance. "I figured out that for my body, I need to keep maintaining my strength and endurance. I have to trick my body into doing different types of cardio now so my muscles never get bored because now they're so used to doing the show."

She Does Lunges

After having her first child in 2017, Peta wanted to get in shape for her wedding later that year. She documented her process on Instagram. In this video, Peta is seen doing lunges, with her adorable baby in her arms. She captioned the post, "Mum getting after it in the gym with some special helpers – Shai, @maksimc, and the amazing @timhartwigtrain. Working hard for that wedding body! 💪"

She Strength Trains

Peta also turned to strength training exercises to prepare for her 2017 wedding. She shared this video of herself in the gym on Instagram. In it, she's seen pushing a weighted cart, doing lunges with a kettlebell. Peta captioned the post, "4 weeks ago….Mum back in the gym, getting it with @timhartwigtrain.
