Peyton List is an extremely successful actress. She first became known for playing Emma Ross on the Disney Channel show Jessie. She then reprised the role on the spinoff Bunk’d. List also appeared in the Disney Channel original movie, The Swap. She is currently starring on the series Cobra Kai. List shared some of her martial arts training on her Instagram story. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Peyton List stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Walks Her Dog

List shared some of her favorite workouts in an interview with Forbes. She says that she takes her dog on a long walk each day. "I get up every morning and walk my dog for miles—just to get outside and move.” The Mayo Clinic reports that walking has a lot of benefits. “The faster, farther and more frequently you walk, the greater the benefits. For example, you may start out as an average walker, and then work your way up to walking faster and walking a mile in a shorter amount of time than an average walker, similar to power walkers. This can be a great way to get aerobic activity, improve your heart health and increase your endurance while burning calories.”

2. She Does Virtual Workouts

List tells Forbes that she does a lot of virtual workouts. “I need an outlet for my anxiety so I'd just jump into an online workout class and channel all of my stress and go as hard as I possibly can. I rely heavily on the energy of other people while working out so finding classes on YouTube and taking STRONG Nation's live virtual classes have been motivating me.”

3. She Eats Healthy

List shared some of her diet secrets with Forbes. She says that she is trying to eat better. “My diet changed drastically over lockdown. I started seeking comfort in food and was drinking wine every night with my pasta. On days I'm trying to stay healthy and feel my best, I eat eggs, avocado and protein for breakfast.”

4. She Works Out With Her Brother

Peyton.List.2Peyton List/Instagram

List tells Yahoo Life that she likes to workout with her brother. “Consistency is something I’ve told myself I really need to work on this year because I feel like my body has been really up and down,” she said. “My twin brother, Spencer, we work out a lot together... I’ve had him my whole life as my best friend and my partner, so if he’s doing something, he’s dragging me along and then I’ll do it. I think finding a partner has been important for me. I’m not very independent.”

5. She Does Martial Arts

Peyton.List.1Peyton List/Instagram

As you can see from her recent post, List had to learn martial arts for Cobra Kai. She talked about the impact it has had on her to Yahoo Life. “It has impacted my life and my confidence more than I ever thought it would. I usually have to learn different sports or whatever the character is into, whether it’s an instrument or dance, but this show has played such a huge role in my life. Just from playing the character Tory, I found my confidence as a woman. Walking alone at night can be such a scary thing, or not feeling like you can defend yourself, which I felt throughout my whole life, and just learning some self-defense does give a lot of confidence. I’ve heard of a lot of young girls that are starting karate because of the show because of Sam and Tory, and seeing that just makes me happier than anything because I think everyone should take it up.”

Caity Lotz is ready to go at the gym in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the Mad Men star shows off her fit figure in exercise clothes during an intense workout session. “LFG Feels good to sweat #workoutmotivation @thelabsunset @bodychemist,” she captioned the Instagram video. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Martial Arts

Caity Lotz.2Caity Lotz/Instagram

Lotz was a skilled martial artist prior to The Flash. “The weapons training adds authenticity,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “You [think], ‘Yeah, she could kill a few people.’” Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function and psychological health in addition to weight loss and physical fitness.

2. Muay Thai

Caity Lotz.1Caity Lotz/Instagram

She also told Muscle & Fitness that she likes Muay Thai and also practices “tricking,” a flashy training discipline that blends flips and kicks into a fluid movement. “It’s not street fighting, but it looks great on camera,” Lotz said.

3. Yoga

Yoga is another one of her go-to workouts, Caity told Muscle & Fitness. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

4. Hiking

Caity loves to hike, especially during her pregnancy. Now that I’m (hopefully) past all the nausea and extreme fatigue, I’m loving being pregnant!

5. Strength Training

In her recent video, Caity does a number of strength training exercises on unique equipment. However, you don’t need much equipment to build muscle with strength training. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Pia Mia is getting her sweat on at the gym. In a new social media post the 27-year-old singer shows off her phenomenal figure during an intense workout session at The Dogpound, wearing a sports bra and leggings. Pia is a regular at the celeb hotspot. How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Pia Doesn’t Diet

“'I don't diet. I do what I want and I do what makes me happy. I exercise, but if I want to buy an entire bag of Cheetos, I'm going to, and if I want a green juice, I'll do that too,” Pia told Daily Mail Australia. “I don't like restrictions, it's not the way to live.”

2. Boxing

Celebrity Sightings In Los Angeles - February 14, 2024Bellocqimages/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images via Getty Images

According to Pia, “Floyd Mayweather saw my video and told me to go to his boxing guy in LA so then I got into boxing. I’m such a fan of him, I thought it was so cool,” she told BeautyCrew. She throws punches at the Ten Goose Boxing Gym in Van Nuys, California. “Therapy,” she captioned this video. There are many boxing health benefits, “because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs.”

3. Journaling and Reading

Pia.MiaPia Mia/Instagram

Pia takes down time. Reading and journaling are two of her go-to habits to unwind. “'(Writing in my journal) makes me (feel) more secure in a way,” she told Daily Mail Australia. “Things that make me feel good (apart from makeup) are just relaxing, taking a bath, writing in my journal and just getting my thoughts out. It helps me to just kind of settle down and see what my goals are and what I'm going through, and that makes me (feel) more secure in a way.” As for social media, ''I'm on there just to share life and be positive and happy. I don't let (negative) things affect me. I do what I want and I do what makes me happy.”

4. Krav Maga

In an interview with Glamour, Pia revealed that Krav Maga, “an Israeli self defense and street fighting system,”is one of her favorite workouts. “I became so obsessed, they invited me to become an instructor when I was 16 years old and so I did and am very proud of that. I also take a lot of bag classes, in those classes you work on the heavy bag, cardio, and weight training. The best part of my workout is that I get to keep fit and train to protect myself on the streets at the same time,” she said.

5. Strength Training

Pia.Mia.1Pia Mia/Instagram

Pilates spends a lot of time at the Dog Pound, where she does strength training workouts. In workout videos shared by the gym she does exercises like squats, leg lifts, battle ropes, and box jumps. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

6. Pilates

Pia.Mia.2Pia Mia/Instagram

“I think Pilates is really good, too. Working out, I think it’s important to make it fun - not just like ‘ugh I gotta go to the gym’,” Pia added to BeautyCrew. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Tatiana Suarez is training hard in her workout gear. In a new social media post the UFC fighter shows off her super strong body in a two-piece set during a Sin City sweat session. “Two grappling sessions this Monday! Training to be the best every day! Let’s go 👊🏼🤼‍♀️,” she captioned the Instagram video and photo. “Champ,” commented one of her followers, while several others added fire emojis. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. People Tried to Talk Her Out of Wrestling

Tatiana felt pressured to stay away from wrestling as a kid."I was three years old when I started wrestling, and my whole life, people told me I shouldn't," she told Women's Health. "I would wrestle with their sons, and they'd be like, 'You're so cute. You should probably go do tennis.' And I'm like, 'I think tennis is great, but I'm wrestling, and I just beat your son. So maybe he should go do a different sport, not me.'"

2. Neck Injury and Cancer Treatment

Thyroid,Cancer,Word,Alphabet,Letters,On,Puzzle.,Healthcare,And,MedicalShutterstock

In 2011 Tatiana suffered a neck injury and while being treated, doctors discovered a cancerous tumor on her thyroid. She took a day-by-day approach to recovery. "I had to keep my diet a certain way, and I had to do certain exercises for my neck every day, and they were so tedious and boring," says Tatiana. "Not only that, but I couldn't do what I love, which is to go live and do my sport." Focusing on what she could control and letting go of what she couldn't helped her get through it all. "It's always easier said than done," she says. "But it's a constant battle."

3. Proper Nutrition

She also focused on adding lean muscle while staying light enough to transition to 115 pounds (the strawweight division) when it was time to compete again. "I ate a lot of high-protein foods and healthy fats like olive oil on salad, chicken, steak, eggs, and avocado," she says. "I also incorporated fish oil, creatine for when I spar, and Thorne's Curcumin Phytosome, which helps a lot with my inflammation." She avoids sugar and processed foods.

4. Jiu Jitsu and Boxing

"I'm a great wrestler, I know I'm great at jujitsu, I'm great at kicking," Tatiana says. "So right now, I've been focusing a lot on boxing because I know that it's probably my weakest thing. It's also given me a newfound respect for boxers."

5. Training 7 Days a Week

Tatiana trains seven days a week. Her workouts include cardio, strength training, jujitsu, and physical therapy. "I can't wrestle yet. I drill it, but I can't bend my knee all the way," says Tatiana. "When I'm in [training] camp, there's not so much emphasis on cardio just because I do cardio throughout my workouts.”

Jinh Yu Frey is sweating up a storm – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the UFC fighter shows off her amazingly strong body post workout. “If you know you know…I sweat a lot,” she writes across the Instagram video. “What can I say? It’s hot. 🥵” she added in the caption. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Mixed Martial Arts

“I got into MMA by just going to a local gym and they started an MMA programme so i joined the class, i started training with a girl there who asked me to stay behind and help her for kickboxing or juijitsu, and after 4 or 5 months after being there every night i thought i can do this,” Jinh told Be the Fittest. “I try and stay in pretty good shape all the time, but like about 4 weeks before a fight I really start sharpening up my skills and with these title fights.”

2. Wrestling, Cardio, Rolling and Technique Work

When she isn’t fighting Jinh will hit the gym four times a week. “I’ll go to the classes at my jiu jitsu gym and do like 40 min of rolling and technique work but then i will also do wrestling or situational drills in the cage, a lot of time there’s fights about to happen so I’m always helping them get ready in the cage and do rounds with them,” she says. She also does cardio.

3. Healthy Diet

Jinh gets help with her diet from her husband. “My husband is going to school for a nutrition degree so he takes care of this,” she says. “I always eat healthy so I always try and keep lean, so i don’t have a lot to lose but i do extra cardio and really cutting out dairy products and cheese which are high in fat and cutting down portions too,” she adds. “I don’t eat processed foods and I try to stick organic and as close to raw as I can. Mornings I do usually eat oats with chia and hemp seed and honey. After that it’s lots of legumes, nuts, and vegetables. I really don’t eat much meat. Mostly vegetables and quinoa, especially during a fight camp.”

4. Running

Silhouette,Sports,Girl,Running,Legs,Along,Road,Sunset,,After,RunnerShutterstock

Jinh also pounds pavement. “When I’m tired I take a day off, when I’m not I keep going. I run 2-3 times a week,” she adds. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

5. Minimal Weight Lifting

Surprisingly, Jinh isn’t big into strength training. “My last amateur fight i started doing crossfit in the morning and then done specific training in the evening, and it just burned me out. By the time i got to the fight, i had a really poor performance and lost the fight by split decision, my body was just exhausted. So now with the time i have, i don’t have time to devote to lifting weights,” she said.

Bianca Bustamante is revving up her engine in 2025 – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. In her new post she added that she is meal prepping. “I’m soooo all in that im even learning how to cook & meal prep better than ever before,” she writes.

Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Dancing

You can also find Brenda dancing to burn calories. Dancing is an excellent workout for many reasons. It builds strength and promotes flexibility, helps you lose weight, and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues

Swimming

Brenda spends a lot of time in her swimsuit so it isn’t surprising she loves to swim. According to the CDC, swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, multiple studies support the mental health benefits of swimming.

Hydration

Finally, Brenda hydrates, especially after a long workout or sun exposure. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Supports Animals

Romani has her own charity, Help Miami Cats. She talked about how she started this in the caption of this Instagram post. “❤️ Guys!!!! I have always loved cats and had many growing up. When I moved to Miami Beach I met a great calico named Chacha and learnt that cats were brought to the city by Mayor Lummus … against rodents. Cats rely on volunteers for their food and water and there’s a huge amount of them. There’s a city program to Spay and neuter with the wonderful @sobecats ladies and the feeding is made official by a City Sanctioned badge, yet new cats keep getting dumped daily sadly and there’s a never ending amount of work, emergencies and so on. I was on a feeding rotation but during the pandemic I was left alone caring for so many as people left town or couldn’t afford feeding anymore …I decided to start my own non profit @helpmiamicats . We feed close to 200 and when Batman got paralyzed took him and other special needs cats under my care … @stevensachs69 with the cat room and the amazing people involved devote their lives to these special souls … My life has changed a lot too … way less spare time, way more sweat and tears and lost the person I had by my side who had sadly other priorities … yet gained so much love from these lovely creatures !!! If you can please get involved in any way … follow @helpmiamicats , share, volunteer, adopt … donate … Only together we can make their world a better place !!! And yes … just me feeding the kitties and talking to them … 🤷🏻♀️👀😆❤️🙌”
