Here are 5 of her wellness secrets.
She Limits Dairy
Rachel opened up about her diet in an interview with Parade. She says that she and her daughter limit the amount of dairy in their diet. “It really helped my daughter’s skin clear up,” Rachel said. “She was having some eczema, and when we stopped dairy, it went away. So, that was a huge eye-opener for us just seeing how much you diet can basically control things that are happening with your body.” Rachel turns to oat milk as a good substitute.
She Loves Salads
Rachel shared some of her favorite healthy meals in her Parade interview. “I have this corn salad that my sister-in-law discovered,” she said. “It is so good. It’s like roasted corn or grilled corn and lime and jalapeño and tomato and avocado and cilantro. That’s my go-to summer salad.”
She Keeps Her Skin Hydrated
Rachel has amazing skin, leaving many of her fans wondering what her secrets are. She shared some of them in an interview with Allure. “I always make sure my face is hydrated when I’m going to be on camera,” Rachel said. “My skin is especially dry now so I like to use Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture or sometimes Kate Somerville. After being on set, I always take my makeup off as soon as I can. I like to use Comodynes Sensitive Skin makeup remover towelettes. I then use face wash and lotion.”
She Opts For The Natural Look
Rachel tells Allure that she doesn’t want to do too much to her face. “I totally respect what anyone wants to do in their own beauty routine, but I prefer to stay away from doing things that could give me a fake look,” she says. “Like lip plumping or collagen. I prefer to keep it natural. I like to keep it simple. I never do too much and feel that less is more.”
She Does Pilates
Rachel shared her morning routine in an interview with Well + Good. In it, she shared her favorite way to stay in shape. “I just started going to reformer Pilates three mornings a week,” Rachel said. “It’s what I do for my mental health. My post-Pilates treat is a caffeinated drink from a place next door.”
