Harvard Health states that walking has a lot of benefits. "Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season. A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder."
She Dances
Mir competed on Let's Dance, and she married her dance partner. The couple performed on the show's Christmas show. Dancing has a lot of benefits. Harvard Health states, "The evidence for the health benefits of exercise is indisputable. Physiologic studies have demonstrated that regular activity builds muscle and bone, reduces fat, increases aerobic capacity, lowers blood pressure, and improves the ratio of 'good' to 'bad' cholesterol. Dance has been shown to have all the benefits of other forms of exercise."
She Swims
Mir likes to swim to stay in shape. In the first photo in this Instagram post, she is seen in the water. USA Swimming states that the sport has a lot of benefits. "Swimming can help you develop the endurance to do a long workout and also develop the speed for sprinting. When you swim at low to moderate intensities, you are building up your aerobic capacity, or the ability to swim for long durations. When you train at moderate to high intensities, you are building up your anaerobic capacity, the ability to blast a 100m sprint in a meet."
She Boxes
As you can see from the Instagram video, Mir likes to box to stay in shape. She shares a lot of boxing videos on her account. According to Harvard Health, since boxing is an aerobic exercise, it has a lot of benefits. "Aerobic exercise gets your heart pumping and helps lower the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. It can strengthen bones and muscles, burn more calories, and lift mood. Aerobics can also boost your endurance, which helps you climb a flight of stairs or walk farther. Plus, aerobic exercise is associated with improvement in certain brain functions."
