Rebel Wilson is vacationing in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post, the Pitch Perfect star shows off her 100-pound weight loss in a bathing suit, wowwing her followers. “First time on Hamilton Island!” she captioned her Instagram post from Australia. Rebel has been open about how she lost so much weight and got into her best shape ever. But how is she keeping it off? She recently dished on all the details.

1. She Has Relaxed Her Approach to Fitness Since Becoming a Mom

amfAR Gala Cannes 2023 - VIP ArrivalsDave Benett/Getty Images

In a recent interview with Women’s Health, the newish mom revealed how she is maintaining her 100-pound weight loss while juggling the duties of motherhood. While she used to spend "at least an hour every day, six days a week," at the gym, her approach to diet and fitness is less aggressive now. "When I was losing weight, I was doing quite aggressive workouts," she said. "With a baby, that's just an impossibility."

2. She Reduced Portion Sizes

Rebel has a few diet hacks. "I can't cut out carbs and sugary foods completely," she says. Instead, she "drastically reduced" portion sizes and fills up on protein. However, she doesn’t cut out food groups entirely. "I think that's a positive, that I'm not too focused," she says. "I'm not on any particular diet or anything like that."

3. Here Is What She Eats in a Day

Rebel starts her day with eggs and avocado toast or a protein shake with berries or bananas. For lunch, she eats a fresh salad with chicken and for dinner, grilled chicken, salmon, and other types of fish.

4. She Indulges

Rebel allows herself to indulge on occasion with Ben and Jerry's Phish Food ice cream and Klondike Bars. "I'm obsessed with Klondike bars," she says. "They're just a simple [treat]."

5. She Walks

Rebel makes sure to get her steps in. "I went to this big health retreat in Austria, the biggest thing they said to me is get outside and just walk," she revealed. "[Walking] for me, is the best thing to burn unwanted body fat," she says.

6. She Does At-Home Workouts

Rebel also does at-home workouts, incorporating her daughter into her routine. "I lift her up while squatting," she said. "I'll do stretching on a mat and put Royce next to me."

Rebel Wilson has been incredibly forthright about how she lost 100 pounds and got into the best shape of her life. The Australian actress posted a gorgeous sunny snap of herself on the beach in a bright pink one-piece swimsuit and black shorts, playing with her long blonde hair. “Throwback Thursday: Rebel Island 🏝,” the 42-year-old captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Wilson stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Worked On Her Mental Health

Wilson understood she had to approach her weight loss holistically—and that meant addressing why she was overweight in the first place. "I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she told Extra.

2. She Loves To Walk

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - May 05, 2022Raymond Hall/GC Images via Getty Images

Wilson is a big fan of “just walking.” "I got all these high-tech tests done on me during my year of health," Wilson said. "They said that walking was actually the best way for me to lose unnecessary body fat." “Walking can be as good as a workout, if not better, than running,” says Dr. Matt Tanneberg, CSCS, a sports Chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona who works with elite athletes. “You hear of people 'plateauing' when they continue to do the same workout routine and stop seeing results. I see patients all the time that plateau from running, they will run the same distance, speed and time, day in and day out. You need to constantly be switching up your exercise routine in order to get the maximum benefit for your health.”

3. She Embraces Her Curves

Netflix Senior Year Special ScreeningVivien Killilea/Getty Images

Wilson makes it clear her weight-loss goal was never about being “skinny”—it was about her health and happiness. "My goal was never to be skinny," she told PEOPLE. "I don't focus too much on the numbers. I still look like me. I love being curvy and I'm still super curvy but just a healthier version. That was my goal. I just try to encourage everyone to be the healthiest version of themselves. That doesn't necessarily mean being smaller in size, it just just means not engaging in unhealthy behaviors. I like to think I look good at all sizes."

4. She Practices Moderation

Wilson says her now-healthy relationship with food is crucial to maintaining her new weight. "I would numb myself with food," she says. "I was traveling the world and I had a hectic lifestyle and my way of dealing with the pressure sometimes was eating ice cream and brownies, but at the end of the day, I wasn't treating myself with love. I'll have dessert once or twice a week now. It's just not an everyday thing, Having a sweet tooth will always be my vice, but online shopping has crept up a bit!"

5. She’s Planning For a Family

Celebration For Apple TV+'s "Severance" - ArrivalsAmanda Edwards/WireImage

Wilson’s visit to a fertility doctor brought home the importance of weight loss if she wanted to have a family. "[The doctor] looked me up and down and said, 'You'd do much better if you were healthier,' " she says. "I was taken aback. I thought, 'Oh God, this's guy's so rude.' He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It's almost like I didn't think of my own needs. I thought of a future child's needs that really inspired me to get healthier. Any woman who's gone through it, I really relate to. It's been an emotional rollercoaster. I don't know how it's going to end. But I'm still young enough to try."

6. She Has Personal Trainers

Wilson has personal trainers on hand to keep her accountable. "I’m in a lucky position ... I do have access to really amazing personal trainers but I want you guys to know that the majority of the exercise that I’ve done this year has just been me going out for a walk," she says. "That is free, you can do it, it’s safe. I know it’s getting colder…but just give it a go. If you can do an hour — that’s what I like to do when I go walking — it is the best. Just get your body moving."

7. She Doesn’t Obsess Over the Scale

Operation Smile's 10th Annual Park City Ski Challenge Presented By The St. Regis Deer Valley & Deer Valley ResortAlex Goodlett/Getty Images

Wilson refuses to let weight fluctuations derail her health journey. “I just noticed I put on 3 kgs on my holiday. I’m at an amazing all-inclusive resort…I’ve lost all self-control,” she captioned an Instagram post. “But, you know what? I can get up tomorrow, and go to the gym, and hydrate, and eat healthy, and love myself. It doesn’t help to be hard on yourself but I know what it’s like to feel guilty and not great after eating too much. But if you’re like me just know YOU are more than just your weight, your weight doesn’t define you, just try your best to be healthy and don’t be so hard on yourself 💗 Be the best version of you 💗.”

Rebel Wilson is a 1950s pin up girl! The Pitch Perfect offered fans a blast-to-the-past swimsuit moment over the weekend, sharing a stunning photo of herself bathing in tropical waters wearing a retro-style black swimsuit with oversized sunglasses. The 41-year-old recently revealed that she has dropped possibly more than 75 pounds in 1.5 years. How exactly has she gotten into the best shape of her life? Read on to see 7 ways Rebel Wilson dropped 75 pounds and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. Her Focus Has Always Been on Her Health

rebel-wilson-1Laurie Bailey Photography

Rebel’s first secret to weight loss is focusing less on the number on the scale and more on her overall health. “To me what the year of health was, was just being a healthier version,” she told Jamila Rizvi on The Weekend Briefing per Yahoo Australia. “It wasn't about losing a set amount of weight, although I did put a goal originally of 75 kilos so I could have something tangible to work towards. But it's not about a number or a dress size, or anything like that.'It was just about being the healthiest version of me and I dedicated all of 2020 to doing that, and I'm proud of myself.”

2. Accountability Has Been Key

rebel-wilson-1Rebel Wilson/Instagram

Rebel constantly shares photos of her health journey on social media, even though it may “annoy some people,” she explains. “I feel really good within myself and I like to celebrate the journey. And also, why I did it publicly was for accountability as well, because it’s all good and well just having a little experiment and if you don’t tell people about it you could just easily fail, whereas if I tell the whole world on social media, then that's pretty good motivation.”

3. Rebel Loves Herself No Matter Her Clothing Size

Rebel explained to The Weekend Briefing that her weight loss hasn’t made her love herself any more than she already did. “I think people are beautiful in all different sizes, and I would feel just as confident rocking my size 16 dress as I do now. I’m about a size 8 now,” she said. “I loved being bigger and it never stopped me from achieving anything in my life.”

4. She Hydrates and Sleeps

During her recent Q&A, Rebel revealed that a few healthy habits help her stay in shape. "Adequate sleep, walking, hydrating, [and] drinking water," she said. "You'll always see me with a FIJI [water] in my hand, and balance it with the nutrition.”

5. Health Is An Inside Job

rebel-wilson-2Rebel Wilson/Instagram

Physical health is an inside job, per Rebel. “I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she explained to Extra about her weight loss.

6. She Is On a Diet

rebel-wilson-4Rebel Wilson/Instagram

Rebel follows the Mayr Method diet, even visiting the VivaMayr clinic a few times, detoxing via spa treatments, mental health sessions, and undergoing diet and fitness revamps. One of the big changes she made to her diet was reducing gluten and dairy, and amping up high alkaline food intake like veggies and fish and altering her dietary approach, which includes when and how she eats.

7. She Exercises

rebel-wilson-2Rebel Wilson/Instagram

Rebel makes sure to slip in a workout, even when she is extremely busy. "This week was super busy but I got up super early 3 times (6am 😜) and went on a hike...even did a couple of 100m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my 'sprint' is probably someone else's 'slow jog' 😝) but I felt proud of myself and now only 3kg's away from my goal weight!" she wrote on Instagram.

1. She Changed Her Lifestyle To Feel Better

Wilson lost a lot of weight, as a result of making 2020 her “Year of Health.” She tried a lot of new fitness and wellness techniques and documented them on social media. Wilson told People that she decided to make these changes to feel better and healthier, not for the purpose of losing weight. “You never want it to be about the number, because it really isn't about that,” she says. “It's about: I was doing some unhealthy things to my body and I just wanted to change it and become a healthier person.”

2. She’s Loving Herself More

2021 AACTA Awards Presented by Foxtel Group - ArrivalsBrendon Thorne/Getty Images for AFI

Wilson tells People that one of the changes she made to her lifestyle was making sure to love herself more. She says that this helped her eat healthier and avoid overeating. “I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times, because I wasn't loving myself enough. And it does come down to that self-worth and self-love.”

3. She Enjoys A Balanced Diet

Composition,With,Assorted,Organic,Grocery,Productshttps://www.instagram.com/p/CWFrVNzAcJP/

While Wilson is eating healthier, she does admit to People that she isn’t cutting all her favorite indulgences out. Wilson says that she aims to eat a balanced diet, saying, “I feel like I deserve that because I've worked my ass off in the gym. So, I'm just trying to go for an overall healthy balance.”

4. She Doesn’t Obsess Over Her Weight

Wilson tells People that she doesn't obsess over her weight anymore, and that she is avoiding using the scale too much, and encourages others to do the same. “I would say to everyone out there don't be obsessed about how much you actually weigh,” she says. “It's more about all the healthy practices, and then the changes to your whole lifestyle.”

5. She Walks A Lot

Wilson did an episode of Time To Walk for Apple Fitness, where she revealed that one of her go-to exercises is walking. She says that she started walking more after getting advice from a doctor. “An Austrian doctor said ‘Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is by just simply walking, it doesn’t have to be high intensity or uphill…just simply an hour a day.’”

Rebel Wilson continues to flaunt her 70-pound weight loss. The Pitch Perfect star shared a slow motion video of a walk on the beach to Instagram on Tuesday, flaunting her incredibly fit figure in a neon orange zip-down one-piece swimsuit. How did the 41-year-old get into the best shape of her life? Read on for 7 things Rebel Wilson does to stay fit and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Takes Leisure Walks

Rebel recently revealed to TODAY Health that leisure walks are one of her favorite methods of exercise. "It's just about keeping your body moving and keeping the blood pumping. I feel like sometimes people think you need to work your body really hard to get results, and yeah, if you were training to be the next Thor or something you would be doing hardcore things, but as a regular person, walking is just so healthy for you. The body is designed to move in that way,” she said. "When I go for a walk, I can put in a podcast or listen to music, and it's so easy to do anywhere in the world. I can just go out and do it. It's become my favorite form of exercise right now."

2. She Is Conscious About Why She Eats

Rebel understands that why you eat is sometimes just as important as what you eat. "It's actually been stressing me out a little bit ... I was like 'Oh God, what if I go back to my old habits of eating a whole pint of ice cream because I'm stressed?'" she explained to TODAY. "Or reach for the sugar, because that's what I do when I'm tired and stressed."

3. She Has Made Health a Habit

Rebel hasn't gained back any of the weight she lost in 2020, and has even lost "a few extra pounds" in 2021, which she attributes to her healthy lifestyle. "It is weird, because I haven't been trying to, it's just that the lifestyle habits that I did last year have kind of become ingrained. So it's good. I think I'm a little bit shocked, because I was worried. I think everybody who's struggled with their weight has at times (felt like that) ... I've managed to maintain that for almost a year. It's just all those lifestyle habits changing."

4. She Prioritizes Self Care

Rebel continues prioritizing self-care, in the form of getting regular massages and facials, sleeping eight hours a night, and taking vitamins. "When I'm filming, at about 3 p.m., I would go and take all my Olly vitamins and stuff," she explained. "It felt like a treat, because they're so yummy ... They're not candy, but they (remind me) of the Haribo gummy bears I used to eat and they actually have things that are good for me."

5. She Lost Weight for the Right Reasons

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and Vanity Fair, Premiere party, Co-hosted by Robert Pattinson, H.E.R., Britt Hennemuth, and Bill KramerStefanie Keenan/Getty Images for Academy Museum of Motion Pictures

Wilson xplained to the Australia's Daily Telegraph that her weight loss wasn’t motivated by vanity -- she had good reasons. "It's not about being a certain size or body weight or anything," she said. "It's just about loving yourself and loving the journey that you're on. And to me, the women I think are most beautiful are those who step into their own power." One of them? Her dreams of becoming a mother.

6. She Stays Accountable

Accountability is a big part of Rebel’s health journey. While she admits that she may “annoy some people” with her health journey updates on social media, it is a key way she maintains accountability. “I feel really good within myself and I like to celebrate the journey,” she explained to Jamila Rizvi on The Weekend Briefing per Yahoo Australia. “And also, why I did it publicly was for accountability as well, because it’s all good and well just having a little experiment and if you don’t tell people about it you could just easily fail, whereas if I tell the whole world on social media, then that's pretty good motivation.”

7. She Doesn’t Focus On the Numbers

Bootsy Bellows At SoFi Stadium's Opening DayVivian Killilea/Getty Images

Rebel is committed to being a "healthier version" of herself and tries not to focus on the numbers. "Just give it a go," she suggests. "Don't beat yourself up if in the past you were unhealthy, because I definitely was engaging in unhealthy habits like eating junk food and sugar all the time. But it doesn't do any benefit to beat yourself up. It's more about going 'OK, I'm going to do this for me.' ... Try things throughout the year, different lifestyle habits that are positive and healthy, and see what results you get. Any steps that you take towards having better health is a plus."

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts

“I had an injury last fall and I was only able to do Pilates, which I absolutely love. But I was missing that kind of sweat when you just go for it,” she recently told InStyle. “I'm going back to my 15-15-15, which is a 15-minute spin, elliptical, run. And then just old school: I can chase myself around a gym. I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”
